Anthony showed up on time and did a very professional job. He also cleaned up after completing his work. I am very satisfied with Blue Frog.

I needed a new water heater installed and did a search. Bluefrog was one of the highest rated I found in San Antonio so I went with them. They came out and inspected, gave me an estimate, and installed the unit on the day that was best for me. The installation was quick and everything has been working great. I have no complaints.

I am extremely disappointed with BlueFrog. I had a great experience with them one time, then trusted them with my VIP clients. They took advantage of my clients, charging them over $1,000 for work that took about an hour and telling me that it was because it comes with 1 year warranty. On sink handle cartridges!? Why in the world would the warranty be over $350 per sink when they are just screwing screws off and back on??? Plumber was late to first appointment, then had to come back and align the handles because they weren't straight. Beyond upset that they did not see that this was highway robbery and try to amend this when I complained. Lost a great customer with multiple STR properties and private properties in the area. We will be finding another plumbing service that is upfront and fair with their pricing. I know plumbing is expensive but jeez our lawyer doesn't even charge that much per hour!!!!

The receptionist refused to give a ballpark estimate for a routine procedure over the phone. She used the excuse that they don't charge by the hour and do a flat rate instead, but -- here's the catch -- the plumber gives you the cost once they arrive on site. Don't like the fee? Then there's a $76.50 trip charge for the privilege of giving it to you. Not transparent, and it's an invitation to an unpleasant surprise or worse. I don't trust the company. It's unprofessional. I'll take my business elsewhere.

2 weeks after the big freeze of February, a flood stop alarm for my water heater went off and alerted me to a leak. The leak wasn't coming from the water heater actually, but from a pipe behind it in the wall and the water, fortunately, leaked into the containment pan that the water heater sits in and where the flood stop sensor is. It was a Saturday morning, never the best time to get a plumber, and since I already knew that every decent plumber in the city was booked up for days or weeks in advance (due to the ice & snow storms), I searched on line for an emergency plumber. Bluefrog had the best ratings of any service I could find and I was able to book an appointment for 2 days later, on the following Monday, which I considered very good fortune. Monday morning Clinton promptly arrived in very good, friendly spirits, and proceeded to look at the issue. He did an excellent job, maintained the best, most respective and friendly disposition, and was very forthcoming in explaining everything he was doing and why he was doing it. I like to learn so I drank it all in and he went above and beyond in explaining things to me. I learned a lot, much of which will be useful in the future as I keep on the look-out for potential problems down the road. He also took care of a slow leaking faucet outside. I chose to join the 5 year membership because that's a good value and it gave me a discount on the charge for his services. But this is not a discount plumbing service - it's a premium service. It's probably the most expensive plumbing company I've ever hired but after all the issues of the past month, the fact that they came out quickly and Clinton's nature was so good, and the fact that the amount of the charge was doable for me, I didn't hesitate to go ahead with them. As I say, if you want the least expensive work done, this is very probably not the company for you. But when he was done, I felt that every penny I spent was worth it - because the service was first rate, his skill was excellent, the equipment he had at his disposal was top of the line, and the education I got was a great benefit. In addition, Clinton explained a lot that can help me have a better consistent maintenance of things which could save me a lot of money in the long run. This was definitely a case where you get what you pay for. I did, and I have no doubt I will continue to get the best service from Bluefrog over the next 5 years of service. I'd hire them again without a second's hesitation.

The plumbing project that I had for Blue Frog is relatively small and simple. I'm not going to reiterate it all here. I do have about 30 years of experience in the architectural industry with 20 of that being residential. So I do have a clue. Blue Frog's estimate was so far out of line and so over priced that I could almost buy a new pickup if I had that much money to spend. And I seriously need one. First of all just for the little tiny bit of gas line work that I requested they quoted $9,578.00. That's more than my whole plumbing project should cost. Their total estimate for making these gas line changes and providing a new water heater completely up to code in a new location was $21,010.00 before tax. I just had the exact same gas water heater replaced in my own house and had it brought up to code just 8 months ago. It cost $2,400.00 in total with all taxes and fees. 1) Deducting that from Blue Frog's total leaves $18,610.00 for the little bit of water and gas plumbing lines that I've requested. $18,610.00 is INSANE for this little project. 2) I know the cost of a plumbing permit in my city. Blue Frog's estimate marked it up 519%. FIVE HUNDRED AND NINETEEN PERCENT! 3) On their estimate where they give me the option to provide my own water heater they are charging me an extra $1673.00 just for the priviledge of letting me buy my own water heater. Because all of your fees for installing and preparing for it are already charged on another line item. THERFORE THEY ARE DOUBLE BILLING ME. Highly unethical! I got bids from 3 different licensed and bonded plumbers. One of them was the one that installed my $2400.00 water heater earlier this year. His bid was the next highest bid. His came in for the entire project at $10,500. Less than half of Blue Frog's. But I was very impressed with the knowledge and understanding of my project by a Master Plumber who has excellent ratings on Google, Yelp and Angies list (better than Blue Frogs reviews). I'm taking his bid for the exact same small project of $7,400. NOW this is a reasonable number for the amount of work I'm requesting. NOT NO DAMNED 20 THOUSAND DOLLARS! What the hell is wrong with you people! GREED of course. Are other customers stupid enough to fall for this highway robbery?

After having another company come out to assess my Mother's sewer line issue, I decided to go in search of another company with superb reviews. Clinton with Bluefrog came out the very next day as per my request to coordinate with my work schedule. He was extremely professional and pleasant. I described to him what the other company assessed and told him that I'd like a camera inspection and his assessment. He did just that promptly and efficiently. He showed the break in the line to me and educated me on the "belly" and the reason for some water collection near the break. He performed the inspection with me right there and answered all of my questions. He then provided an estimate for a spot repair and also an entire replacement. While Bluefrog was a bit more than the "other" company who initially quoted, Bluefrog has ensured that they will use top of the line PVC and also provide a 10 year warranty. Also, we positively liked Clinton. We trust him and the company. I have called this morning to schedule the repair with Bluefrog. We are confident we've made the right choice. I'll come back on and write a review after the repair is completed! So far, we couldn't be more pleased with Bluefrog and Clinton!

We had water backup in our laundry room. We called Bluefrog based on recommendation from Angies List. They charge $500 to snake the line. However due to piping damage they could not snake the line and informed us we would need new drainage throughout the house. The total for the job was over $40K. I gotta say the plumbers and workers were great. The office is really confused. I asked to pay with a cashiers check and they approved and then put my credit through anyway even though we agreed I would pay directly. Then the original check for the snaking should have been voided. After 3 months we get an email saying they messed up and never deposited the $500 check and they would be depositing it now. We called and spoke with the manger and he apologized for the confusion and the check was destroyed. It was more the inconvenience and annoyance. That would not really be enough to lose a star, but the fact that they charged my credit at least a week before the job was finished and then for the next 3 days no one came to finish gave me lots of additional stress thinking they had their money and wouldn't be back. They did come back the next week but they should not have charged us until the job was complete.

If I could leave zero stars, I would. My experience with Blue Frog Plumbing has been frustrating from start to finish. The initial work was not completed properly, and my husband had to request multiple return visits to address issues that should have been resolved the first time. The situation became even more concerning after I paid off my loan. Despite the balance being paid, I continue to receive charges. I've made multiple attempts to contact the company to resolve the issue, but I have been unable to reach a live person. Every call routes to an automated system, and I receive text messages stating that someone will contact me. When I explained that I work full-time and requested a specific callback window so I could be available, I was told they could not provide one and would simply call when someone was available. More than 24 hours later, I still had not received a call and had to follow up again myself. At this point, I feel completely unsupported as a customer. The lack of communication, poor follow-through, and ongoing billing concerns have left me with very little confidence in this company. I would not use Blue Frog Plumbing again, nor would I recommend them to others.

Wow, I am in shocked, I am just learning this company is taking advantage of the storm freeze. They are very misleading, they are making people paying $199 extra, they are forcing people to buy their membership package for $199 without the customer knowing it. Be very aware. I am a very trust worthy person. I trusted them and I paid an extra $199. They said it was part of the service but now doing a little extra research they charged me for a membership that I was NOT even aware I was paying for. The operator that answers the phone is giving wrong information and she is not customer friendly at all. They scheduled me for seven pm yesterday and they showed up until. 8:30 pm or so. They are taking advantage of the freeze storm we had and making up lies to charge customers more. This is VERY unethical. This needs to stop and people need to be aware of what this company is doing. I been calling them and they are not answering. "Due to weather we are experiencing extra volume of call please leave a massage " this is what I am getting now. If they don't answer I will put in a fraud claim with my bank and call corporate. This is not good business etiquette. I feel defrauded.

These people are crooks and make sure you stay as far away from them as possible. I had Bluefrog come out for a leaking pipe above my kitchen sink. They showed up with a restoration company which was totally separate from them and provided their own invoice. Two plumbers stood there and watched while the restoration company cut the sheetrock to expose the pipe. When the pipe was exposed it took the plumbers about five minutes to fix it. The plumbers were there for less than an hour. And their charge for less than an hour of standing there and five minutes of actual work? $1,362.00. I have since consulted with other plumbers on my neighborhood bulletin board NextDoor and they all said that I really got ripped off and even half of what Bluefrog charged would have been very excessive. So Bluefrog obviously took full advantage of an emergency situation to rip me off to the greatest extent possible. Whatever you do, please make a note and make sure you never call these crooks for anything.

We had a HORRIBLE experience with Bluefrog Plumbing... they are DISHONEST, DECEIVERS, they LIED to us, OVER CHARGED us....be very careful because all the other plumbing companies I called said that they don't give you a price breakdown, they just give you a flat fee, so you don't know what they are charging you for... The ONLY reason we hired Bluefrog was because they told me they could give us a breakdown and that way we could get a reimbursement from the home warranty, well it was a LIE, we paid $3,500, they didn't give us a breakdown I called them and they said they would have to check the recordings to see if it was true that they told me I would get a breakdown, two weeks have past and every time I call they tell me the general manager is looking into it, the girl that answered the phone, Jasmine, made fun of my accent and pretended she did not understand me....well, we never got our breakdown and the home warranty only reimbursed us $325. So, be very careful!

The plumber was scheduled to do an annual inspection and to drain and flush the hot water heater. The sewer line was also inspected. The technician was very responsive and patient with questions I had throughout the inspection. Potential problems were identified, and my options were thoroughly explained. This experience aligns with a previous visit by blue frog three years ago. Plumbing issues were resolved promptly and professionally. I will just say it: plumbers are not cheap. If I have to pay a plumber to repair or replace something, I want it fixed correctly the first time! So far, this has always been my experience with blue frog. I highly recommend them. NOTE: Recently had Blue Frog out to do another annual inspection, etc. Same experience as before. Courteous, professional plumber who was patiently answering my questions. I want to repeat everything I said in my earlier review; in my experience, it's STILL true. I highly recommend Blue Frog Plumbing.

I recently had the pleasure of working with Blue Frog Plumbing, and I couldn’t be more satisfied with the experience. From the moment I called, their customer service was prompt, friendly, and professional. They scheduled me quickly and arrived right on time. The plumber who came out was knowledgeable, courteous, and efficient. He diagnosed the issue with our leaking water heater within minutes and had it fixed during our availability with no mess left behind. What really stood out was how clearly everything was explained-from the problem to the repair process and the cost. It's rare these days to find a company that combines great workmanship with honest, transparent service. I highly recommend Blue Frog Plumbing to anyone in need of a reliable plumber. They've earned a customer for life.
