I wish I had the words to extol the virtues Blue Star Plumbing. As we know, the weather hasn’t been great for the last week. Our water heater decided it was having none of it. We called a few plumbing co and the earliest they could come is Saturday (today is Thursday and we’d been w/o hot water since Monday night / Tuesday). A friend of ours recommended Blue Star Plumbing and what wonderful and kind people! I am so grateful to them. They were nice, understanding and very professional… called yesterday evening and they were here first thing this morning with the correct parts and fixed us right up! I just took the longest, hottest shower of my life thanks to them 😁 We will definitely use them again and I highly recommend them to everyone.
Called a few plumbers and these guys. Blue Star was one of the few that didn't have a stupid "pay up front" and "sorry, I can't quote prices over the phone". I needed some quarter turns put in and it's pretty simple (my body doesn't let me do stuff like that anymore so I needed someone to do it.) These guys were great on every front! Casual and professional, courteous and fair. I would absolutely use them again!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Luis Diaz and Caleb came out to check on a leak and took preventative measures to make sure it wouldn’t turn into a bigger issue. They were super friendly, very polite, and easy to talk to. The work was done efficiently, everything was left very clean, and they explained what they were doing along the way. On top of that, the pricing was very reasonable. Great experience overall — I’d definitely recommend them.
I called Blue Star to replace my old toilet for a New one. My husband had already removed the Old one. They came out and the Bid was $650 to REPLACE a toilet??!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME? I work for a home builder, so I know this is REALLY wrong for pricing. He was telling me all this stuff that must scare other people I knew it was just a tactic to get business. I had to pay the $49.99 for service fee to Turn Down that insane price and send him away. I will NEVER call them again and definitely let people know that they price gouge and are NOT Honest plumbers. I contacted another plumber (Masters Touch) and the cost was $230 they did a GREAT job!! They were booked up but found a way to schedule me in for that Same day. I will be using them moving forward. They are HONEST and FAIR. Ask for Bob or Eric!! Tamera P.
American Home Shield sent this plumbing company when I made a claim for a cracked tank on the toilet. Dane and Brady, reported to the home warranty company that it was not normal wear, in spite of the fact that there was no evidence of misuse, so that the warranty would not cover the replacement in hopes of making more money working independently. I would not recommend this company for home warranty work!
Disclaimer I am a engineer so you better have your facts straight. David and Uriel are aware of my wild rollercoasting experience with another plumbing company and they came in with their best foot in. They arrive and did a quick test to start isolating where the leak could be. I told them the other company did a air pressure test and the area with the largest bubble was between the kitchen sink and the hot water heater. Uriel proceed to cut open the hot water heater drywall and then the manifolds. It was tricky to identify which run was the leak because after more digging he later found out that the city shut off valve wasn't completely shutting off water to my house and that was causing the pipe to not drain which was what he was looking for when trying to identify which run had the leak. Once he was able to bypass the leaking city shut off valve he found the leaking pipe and capped it. They were able to run a new lead through the attic and within a couple hours that 25 gph leak was gone. They were even nice enough to replace my leaking outdoor spigot with a new one free of charge. People always get work up and take time to leave bad reviews but David and Uriel did such a fantastic job I'm taking my time to write them a good review because they deserve it! It's nice to know there is a friendly neighborhood plumbing company nearby.
There was a water leak coming up through the sidewalk in front of my house. I had a couple of guys come out and dig on both sides of the sidewalk and they found that the leak was not sprinkler piping but in fact the water line from the main to the house. And now with the leak detected, I called Blue Star for an estimate for repair. Kevin Orr from Blue Star showed up and spent a lot of time walking my front yard and talking about various aspects of water lines and their material make-up. He asked a few questions to ascertain my level of plumbing knowledge, and when he was satisfied with my lack thereof, proceeded to upsell the job. His bid for the job was 1800, and the next day two guys showed up and replaced a 6' section of PVC pipe under the sidewalk... It took them about 2 hours. Material and labor should have been well under 500 dollars. I was smoothly led to believe this would be an involved piece of work, all the while Kevin knew that it would be a simple and fast job. And to make matters worse they gave no warranty on their work.
Update: I just called hired Blue Star Plumbing for a second time and they were outstanding again! They called me within 2 hours of submitting my request through my home warranty company. They were very accommodating to my schedule and we picked a good time. The technician arrived within the scheduled window and called 25 minutes ahead to let me know he's coming. The technician was very polite and courteous. I was extremely impressed with how quickly he completed the work. It took 15 minutes from the time he arrived to the time he left. He diagnosed the issue, turned off the water to the house, drained the lines, replaced an old worn out shut off valve behind the toilet, replaced a leaky fill valve inside the toilet, turned all the water back on, and checked everything. I was very amazing how he did all of this in just 15 minutes. He obviously knew what he was doing. Overall I'm extremely pleased with my both my calls to Blue Star Plumbing. I would highly recommend them!
I want to personally thank the staff, management and technicians Cody and Kalob for doing a good job tackling this annoying clogged drain I had. The biggest thing in any business is transparency and open communication. Monica and the management team kept me well informed on when the job could be done. Cody kept me abreast of his ETA so I wouldn't be waiting unnecessarily. They also sent text reminders. Once the techs arrived, they asked to see where the issue was, explained a couple of sources contributing to the problem and went over pricing. I appreciate not being surprised or having a bait and switch situation. They wore shoe protectors and made sure they left the work area pristine. Even though my job was relatively simple, they took the time to do it right and even recommended a product I can use to keep all of the drains working correctly! I would highly recommend this company for your plumbing needs.
Update! Just recently I had more plumbing work done on a separate issue at my house. once again, Blue Star went above and beyond for us. Ayaz worked for us this time and put in the extra time to find more difficult parts for our older shower that weren't easy to come by. He ended up needing to come out to our house multiple times after the initial call because our house is older and comes with lots of "custom" issues. Ayaz was happy to do the extra work and gave us his best effort every time. We recommend them to anyone needing work done! Honest quality every time. Allan and Ski came out for a reroute faster than I thought possible over the holidays. Blue Star has quality employees that do the job right and get it done quickly. We aren’t trusting anyone else with our business from now on! Big thank you to everyone involved in getting our house up and running again!
Absolutely terrible please do not waste your time and money using this company. This company serviced my home for a small leak on my faucet. They have been hlout two my home 3 times. The first two times they came out they made the situation worse the sink was flooding so bad that the water had to be turned off. Keep in mind the plumber didn't tell me that my shut off valve for that sink was broken until after the third visit. So we had no running water in the house for more than a day. After the visit i was told purchase a new faucet and fix it beg of following week. It's been two weeks since the beg of process and still no remedy. I called today very frustrated they were more interested in covering io for themselves then trying to take care of a client. PLEASE DO NOT WASTE TIME MONY HERE. I now have I start he process with a new company.
If I could give negative stars I would. This company is terrible. Our hot water heater went out on a Sunday. The home warranty company sent them and our first appointment was on a Monday morning. The guy came out changed a part, still wasn't working. Had to get another part but couldn't return until the next day. On Tuesday, it was the same story. He replaced a part, it still wasn't working and had to order another part. Long story short, this was repeated every day this week Monday thru Friday. It is now Saturday and we still have no hot water! Now after a week of no hot water, we'r are having to go with another company.
This company sucks &$$! My kitchen sink had fallen through off the granite counter top and had them come out for an estimate. To either fix the sink (seal it back in place) or to install a new one was the same price- over $2500! Yes, over $2500 to put the original sink back up or to install a new one. And that's if I bought the sink. And then they have the balls to change me $50 just to come out and tell me that crap. I guess they are so over priced that is the only way they can make money. POS - stay away from here.
DO NOT HIRE THESE PLUMBERS. I needed a new valve on the cold water line for the washer and didn't have time to do it so I called them. Two guys showed up 40 minutes late looked at the job and then quoted me $500 plus the 49$ service fee. When I said that was ridiculous they said they could give me a 30$ coupon and waive the service fee. I paid their service fee and told them that I didn't need their services. Got it my wrenches and replaced it with a 14$ valve from Lowe's.
Josh from Blue Star Plumbing was absolutely outstanding! He came out for my yearly inspection and took the time to check everything thoroughly. He made me feel incredibly comfortable and confident going into the winter season. He also shared helpful tips on how to prepare even better. Josh was friendly, professional, and genuinely kind. His attention to detail and care truly stood out, and even my pups adored him! I couldn’t recommend him or Blue Star Plumbing more highly.
