We have had Blue Sky twice now for issues in our home. Once for a furnace that would not start and yesterday for a backed up sewer. Both times they arrived within the time window, did the work professionally and with friendly communication and were done in a reasonable amount of time for a reasonable fee. Both service technicians who came were personable, knowledgeable and communicated well with us on what the issue was and how they were going to resolve it and the price estimate for the work. I really appreciated the fact that they texted me with a picture of the technician coming so I knew who he was before his arrival - thereby giving me peace of mind as to who I was letting into my home - and that they told me a couple little personal things about him. This company is the real deal - competent, easy to trust with their client transparency at all levels and clean, reliable technicians. I also like it is a local, family owned business. We will continue to hire and highly recommend them for Plumbing, Heating and Electric needs around our home

Andres with Blue Sky Plumbing was awesome. We had a cracked outdoor spigot pipe, and he handled everything quickly and professionally. He was knowledgeable, extremely kind, and took the time to clearly explain what he found and how he fixed it. The company was very responsive, he arrived right on time, and he left the area clean when he was done. He even helped communicate with our landlord since we rent, which made a stressful situation so much easier. Pricing was transparent and very fair. We would absolutely request him again and highly recommend him

Blue Sky did an excellent job installing our new boiler after our original one needed to be replaced after 40 years. They worked diligently and together to replace it in a couple of days. A beautiful job, respectful of us and our schedules. Great work! A piece of art!!

I have waited to do any kind of comment or review. It is often said to never review anything while angry. Don't "YELP" angry. The work done by Blue Sky Plumbing was done in September 2025 It is now mid January 2026. I've had a great deal of time to look at all aspects of the work and formulate my opinion. Right after the work was "completed" I called the representative who originally estimated / Sold the job He came to our property to look over the work and listen to my concerns / complaints. To start the two people who performed the work were polite enough with me, the home owner. While on the job there were all kinds of mixed communications between the two. I noted at times they were conflicted and would appear to argue. Other times over the few days here the seemed to be on the same page. On at least one occasion one of them seemed possibly ill or lacking much if any motivation to work. All of this is what resulted in the condition our property was left in at the conclusion of the job. The approach to the job seemed to be to get things done as quickly as could be done. I've found that most contractors take this approach to save as much in labor cost as possible, regardless of work quality at times. I've taken several pictures of the finished work as well as the condition of the property upon completion of the job. Here is a list of my concerns and complaints expressed to the Blue Sky Representative for this job. A great deal of over spray due to neglect of proper prep prior to painting the installed gas line This left our brick, foundation, and cedar gate painted with gloss black. I consider this to be damage to our property that could have easily avoided with attention to detail. Blue Sky got paid, our property got sprayed. According to the licensed inspector who reviewed the work, it was not even necessary, according to code, to paint many of the unions and valves that were painted in whole. That being said, the very last piece of black pipe installed was left unpainted and left to rust in the rain. Left unpainted after it was explained to me by Blue Sky how it was required that the entirety of the gas line be painted (again, not necessary) Again a lack of attention to detail. During excavation the downspout drain to the garage was destroyed . No repair or replacement was offered. Debris was left on the property from work performed. When a Blue Sky crew returned to fill the trench that was dug by a company they contracted. A few people showed up to refill the ditch by hand with shovels as opposed to using the same contractor that dug by machine. It took a much longer amount of time, and the yard was left considerably uneven. This again, I assume was in an effort to save expense, where as bringing a grader back for a fill and a few passes to even things out would have left our yard as it was prior to the work performed.

Complete rip off. They wanted to charge me $1200 for a water jet pump. I found the exact same pump for $271 at home depot. Avoid this company at all costs. I had Isaac Romero as my tech visit to fix a leak from frozen pipes and it is still leaking.

You know this was quite the experience! The worse experience ever. Being a single woman and having your furnace go out... DO NOT and I do mean DO NOT call this company! Horrible customer service on many occasions! Horrible just horrible!! I called this company out paid a $150 fee for an emergency dispatch and the tech came in and sat out in my furnace room and was talking on his phone the entire time acting as if he was trouble shooting my furnace to get it to work. He came in and said my mother board would need replaced so I said order it and let's get it fixed. Had a different tech come out to install the mother board two days later. And yes I had to pay for the mother board which was over $650+ dollars. Furnace was working when the tech left, however 5 hours later ended up failing in the same way I explained from the start. Same problem is existing. Same issue is occurring. Another tech comes out to diagnose the furnace and says that the filter I had was to thick and he replaced it with the one I should be using (Mav8) and said that the mother board was fried and that it was a bad switch that must of been the original issue and overlooked. They did replace the switch and the mother board at no extra cost however the heater still failed. They sent another technician out and this one hard wired my thermostat stating that was the issue. And that the furnace was overheating. He said he would call and have someone schedule me. No phone call to get on the schedule to get the furnace fixed I had to again call them. Called and talked to their manager Brian and he was a jerk and rude. Besides telling him that after leaving multiple messages I never got a call back previously and he was supposed to call me and failed to that himself. He did apologize however that changed real quick. He said he didn't like to hear that his customer service was bad. Brian stated he would send another technician out however I had to wait until the next day and that he was going to come out himself, he also stated he was canceling the technician that was supposed to come out on the emergency call that was just dispatched out. I had to wait in the middle of a snow storm and at that time we had negative degree weather up here in the mountains. I can't go without heat. I paid them to diagnose and fix and they had no problem taking my money yet the same issues were occurring same symptoms same issues! And I have to wait.. nope Still no fix, after speaking with Brian and stating that this was unacceptable to have to wait when I spent the funds for an emergency service. In turn with being so frustrated with loosing money from my job now, he told me to fuck off and that he would refund my money. I said thank you and hung up the phone. 24 hours later my money was refunded! Thankfully!! I called another company and they came out and diagnosed the furnace and said it was overheating however it was overheating due to the registers- not enough floor vents for proper ventilation and that it was a easy fix! Then he pointed out that the filter that was replaced (Mav8 filter) was the wrong one to replace with and that I needed a Mav4 or a Mav5 to provide the proper circulation within the unit. Funny because the filters I had before it was replaced in the unit was a Mav8 I figured out later after donating the full box of unused filters. Needless to say it was the wrong filter and the unit was overheating. Now the unit is fixed and it isn't overheating and no more issues! Tech installed a Mav5 filter. Sad I was sold a new motherboard that wasn't needed! I did review previous reviews and thought that since they had some good reviews that I would give them a chance! NOPE!! Save yourself the migraine and unreal experience I had and find a different company! Trust me find a different company! I have witnesses who heard Brian.. Trust me don't use this company even when reading their weak response to my review. This company just wants your money!!! I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone not even a homeless man! Don't use this company!! Horrible customer service and horrible management Brian and I am using his name for a reason! This company would get a Zero star however they don't let you do that! Have a good day Jesse as it's unfortunate that your company needs a full overhaul of new people!!! It was a Win for me to find a new company! Couldn't even put the correct filter in telling me mine was wrong and they in turn installed the very same filter that they took out. I guess you would call that hard to diagnose People save your money and find a different company. As you can see not even Jesse wants to own his companies mistreatment and wants to smooth it over to seem as if the experience with this company was my fault and I was the one who was rude. I paid you... I'm a single woman that your company took advantage of. I'm not the only one, look at the reviews..Take those into consideration before calling this company!!

If you don't want to read the details, here's the quick summary from a long-time customer that paid a premium for Blue Sky's annual service plan: this company has gone dramatically downhill and I highly recommend you look elsewhere for your heating needs. Not sure if it is the latest generation of ownership, but our most recent experience with Blue Sky caused us to decide we will never do business with them again. Their "expert" technician came to look into an issue we were having with our heat and hot water. He determined we needed to do 3 things: replace a valve, replace a gauge, and relocate the intake and exhaust of our system because of a deck we recently built above the original intake/exhaust. He quoted all the work and I followed up to schedule the appointment to complete the 3 items. The day the technician came back, he informed me he could only complete 2 of the 3 items and would need to re-schedule for the 3rd. The first two items were completed without issue and we scheduled an additional visit for the intake/exhaust relocation. The fateful day finally came and the same technician showed up with an apprentice to help him drill the necessary holes and run the new pipe for the intake/exhaust. Shortly after their arrival, the apprentice was wandering around looking confused. He told me that he didn't know where the technician was or what the plan was. Eventually, they got to work drilling through the first of the two walls they would need to drill through for the new pipes. After about an hour, the technician came out and told me they would need to charge me an extra $200 for the job. While not happy about being asked to pay $200 more than the original $1400 quote, I gave him the benefit of the doubt. They then left to get a "bigger drill." They returned and spent the next 6 hours drilling 2 holes through a single 8-inch think concrete wall. At 5pm, the technician came out of the basement, and told me they had only managed to get through 1 of the 2 walls and would need to hire a core drilling company to complete the job. He said he would follow up with timing for that. So, postponed once again. The next day, the technician called and said the core drilling company could be at our house the next week and that the additional cost to complete the job would be $900. I told the technician that almost doubling the cost of a job whose scope had not changed was unacceptable. I followed up with a call to Blue Sky's office and asked for the Service Manager. The person who answered told me he was in a meeting with the other managers and that he would call me back when he was out of that meeting. Four hours passed with no call, so I called back. This time I was forwarded to the Service Manager's voicemail. I left a message describing the situation and my frustration and asking him to return my call. 24 hours later and still no call, so I called Blue Sky's office to let them know that I would be going with another company (one that quoted the same original $1400 for the job) and would no longer be doing business with Blue Sky. It's now been a week and I still have not heard from Blue Sky. I don't know if they have made a conscious decision to try to take advantage of their customers during the pandemic, but they clearly couldn't care less about retaining a long-term customer that was paying a premium for their annual service plan. Buyer beware - this company combines incompetence (I've spoken to multiple other companies that have all said it was obvious a core drill was needed for the job) with dishonest sales practices.

DO NOT HIRE! Warning. CHECK REVIEWS FROM OTHER SOUCES! Save yourself long read and just trust this stranger , these guys will rob you for your time and money. OTHER REVIEWERS Had said the same ...They do SUB PAR work at inflated prices. They must spend all their money on marketing and zero on staff training/quality control. These guys will OVER CHARGE and not get job done, waste of time and money. Context: My GF hired them in early 2019 for electrical East electrical job... but they overcharged like $522 for Fix relay outlets And change outlet on personal home. . One of my rental properties had a shower leak so under my name I purchased the $180 family plan for free diagnostics /waive trip fees and to receive 10-15% off of work. And had the guy come out... again job done but was a RIP OFF price of like $400 plus. After supposedly waiving trip fee Waste of money rite ? "Joining the family" would be a great deal if their pricing for electrical and plumbing work wasn't almost 50% more then Competitors . (Did not know that until too late) I had them Work on 5-6 occasions (1 electrical 4-5 plumbing) between 3 properties . I had two rentals and one personal home. Now to the real DRAMA I had clogged sewer on March 8th. I had to get an emergency visit because it was 5pm . Charge 450 for them to unclog toilet (that's with my "family " discount ) took the guy 2 hrs to show up .what kind of emergency service time is that ? I'm centrally located... 4 hrs of work later the toilet flushes with out backing up ... 10 hrs later it backs up again... Too bad they didn't do the job correctly and had to come back ouT the next day . After i had to give them hell on the phone to stand behind their work .... Sorry renters that had No bathroom for two days... In the following weeks I called 2 new plumbers/sewer repair contractors come out to scope line with camera and provide em quotes. Of course I wanted to give blue sky a chance to compete since you Know "were family " i had one of their like right out of trade school money hungry estimators come out and he tried to charge me $250 to scope the line... keep in mind I already had another company scope 3 days before and I clearly , explained the points of root entry... I had two contractors do his Exact job before him so I literally spelled it out for him what I needed. Of course he never gave me quote because I would let them scope line / charge me. Fast forward to April 14 or something I have this Money hungry estimator come out again excuse i told him, I want a written quote , you never gave me one before . I want to cancel some Airbnb reservations and show Airbnb I have a sewer that needs repair . And again I'm part of the family . So write me a quote money hungry estimator... well he said will do ! 6 days later no quote no call, hmmm weird , what's waste of time ... so I reach out ./. Managers have No idea why he never Gave quote... two days later I get a call with a whack explanation , how it take two full business days for a two minute convo , i don't know . They are slow and get paid hourly .... Well , their estimator told manager i told him i already got cheaper verbal quotes From two contractors so why waste time Writing my quote , even though I paid $180 just to have them come out and "estimate , evaluate , QUOTE" which most companies do for free ... I'm like .... you guys are the biggest waste of time ever I'm writing a horrible review , so here I am ... writing honest review of my horrible experience . On every review board possible .

It appears that I went into the wrong field I should quit nursing and become my brothers apprentice to become a plumber, as it seems to pay around 600 dollars an hour for labor (give or take the $30-50 for parts), according to Blue Sky Plumbing. I wanted to support a family business as I had a leak coming from my hot water heater and a company that according to my brother (who used to work there 5 years ago and is a Journeyman Plumber) was an honest, trustworthy company. I sadly did not have this experience. The service slot was from 12-2 pm and I received a message saying they were possibly going to arrive after 2pm most likely, I understand that sH*t happens, and previous calls can run over so no biggie. The tech did arrive before 2 (1:44), so cool that was nice. When I led the tech down to the water heater in our basement and told him that the water heater was leaking a little from the bottom area and showed him where the insulation stuff was a little wet still, but that I had turned the water off. I asked him if he would like me to turn the water back on so he could see for himself. Which he replied no, and then proceeded to tell me that I needed a new water heater, and that the brand that I had (Rheem) was not great brand and notorious for leaking. I said that it was only 5 years old or so and he then said that they usually break around 5-6 years. I was like ok, this is going a different direction. I had even told the man on the phone when I made the appointment that my brother (a plumber remember) had thought that it was the drain valve most likely when I facetimed him and showed him the leak. Had the Blue Sky tech seen the leak with the water turned on or even Touched the water heater himself I may have been more apt to trust what he was recommending. Which makes me feel bad for an elderly person, or any person really that would have just trusted what he said and gone ahead with the very expensive recommendation. I told the tech all the previous information, and he said "Oh I must have misunderstood you"...ok I am still trying to give him the benefit of the doubt so he says he will fix the drain valve and I ask him how much it will be. He goes onto his iPad and pulls up an estimate/invoice which says $568.46 for the work. Being that I do not know pricing (and what average homeowner would) I signed it and an hour later or so I paid the invoice for $670.10 with the additional $59 added for the service call. I called my brother to tell him what had been fixed and told him the cost. He said that I had paid way too much, that this should have cost me around $200. I believe he even called the owner of the company to ask about the pricing but did not receive a call back from him. So, taking this all into consideration sadly, to say, I would never use this company again and I would advise that if you do use the company get a second opinion as I am lucky and have a brother that can advise me (sadly he moved out of state). If I didn't have that luxury, I would be waiting for a brand new hot water heater to be installed, and who knows how much that would cost at Blue Sky!

We have been long time customers of Blue Sky. That's why I wonder why it has been over a week and I have not heard from a supervisor regarding a poor job that was done Dec 29, even though I have called at least 4 times the week after the incident. We called to have our furnaces maintained and cleaned. When the tech was done he said everything was good and working. I paid about $500 for two heaters to be cleaned and maintained-they were in working condition but it had been a while since they were serviced. Three days later we noticed it was cold in the basement and realized there was no heat. When I called on January 2, they sent another tech out January 3. That tech cleaned the unit (it had not been done) and said the unit had been turned off and not turned back on. When he turned it on, it failed to start. I asked him for a written estimate on the repair and replacement and only got a ballpark cost for the repair, but no other written estimate. I called a second company to give me another opinion and they said the same part was broken and gave me prices to replace heater as well as repair it. I then tried to call Blue Sky January 3, 5, and 7. Each time I was told a work order was put in for a supervisor to call me within 24-48 hours. No one has ever called. I wanted to find out why the furnace was working when the first tech came out, but when he left it was turned off and when the second tech turned it back on, it was not working. I also wanted to find out why he didn't tell me it wasn't working, if he knew that. Also, if I could get my $240 back for the first tech not doing his job, and the furnace not working after he left when it was working the day he arrived. Granted, the second tech did clean the furnace and diagnosed the problem, but I have a lot of unanswered questions. My biggest issue is Blue Sky saying someone would call but never did and it's been over a week. Not sure what happened with Blue Sky. They used to have pride about their customer service but I have been left in the dust-still with a cold basement and no estimate or explanation why a furnace was working and then not working after a tech serviced it, why he left it off, and why he did not at least clean it and remove dirt and debris. I also want to know why they did not provide any written estimate. It's like they are avoiding me and do not want to deal with a complaint. It's evident now that they are not interested in calling me and considering reimbursement for poor service. It's unfortunate that I can no longer give Blue Sky's name out to my large circle of friends-instead, I will relay this incidence. Is it worth the $240 to Blue Sky to lose a customer, as well as many other potential customers? This could have been avoided by one simple phone call from a supervisor, in a timely fashion. It would be wise for Blue Sky to change their system to take customer calls more seriously and not have the "24-48 hour call backs" as protocol. In my case, it has been 8 days with no call back.

I really don't want to get into a ratings war, but need to clear up some issues brought up by Jesse, who was not there . First issue of roots, tech never got to roots first night as he ran the line up vent pipe where it was sticking out of it with no cutting head It was myself and the tech up on the roof looking for it, none found Also take a good look at the picture of the broken head, does is seem it couldn't cut through a paper bag as old and warn out as it is Tech could not attempt any cleaning of line as within first 15 minutes there, head of tool off, he never made it to the line. Second issue: sewer was not backed up, toilet was flushing slowly, needless to say, following morning (remember metal head in line does nothing according to others) tech arrives with two large magnets and rope, goes into roof and sends them down pipe to see if he can retrieve said none important broken head When this failed he took the heavy equipment to roof to try and push broken head through the line, once again failed Despite the rumors that monstrous roots broke the head, at this point no attempts are for roots but all morning attempting to find said metal cutting head Three: the 'other" company spoken of which I wonder how others would know extent of their work, however after they used modern equipment like ground penetrating device they knew where the monstrous roots were In fact they put a professional camera into complete line, and did video showing no need to pipe replacement. I had the choice to remove the "monstrous roots "or just replace that with new PVC, which I chose PVC Lastly and I could keep going, 4 hours that day looking for the unimportant broken piece, now ends up 10 hours, beat that.. as well saying service manager attempted in helping, guess what, not only do we have security cameras on our garage and home recording, we also record with ring door bell which in fact will show all time placements. The SD card has been saved for reference . Regardless of me vs him, I would never do any kind of business with them them, however it is up to everyone to make their choices when it comes to using your money wisely. Buyer beware...

A couple weeks ago I hired Blue sky Plumbing for a $12,000 sewer line replacement. On the positive side, Chris was responsive, they helped with the insurance process, and they showed up on time. The trenchers were in and out in about six hours, but unfortunately, that speed came at the expense of my property. They didn't bother to mark any sprinkler lines and ended up ripping out seven of them during the excavation. When I tested the system the next day, it was a mess: two zones were completely dead and one zone was tied to two valves, causing it to run twice. To make matters worse, the sloppy plumbing work actually caused a sinkhole to form -- several of the hoses were not even hooked up! I had to take several hours off work to babysit them while they rushed through the repairs, explaining where the zones were while they acted like they were in a massive hurry to leave. While looking at the sprinkler line debacle with the guys fixing it, we noticed that the pinch clamps they used were not installed properly - exascerbating the problem. During the "fix," they removed two sprinkler heads to troubleshoot, but when they put them back, they were pointed directly at the street. I let them know about the heads spraying the street and received no response at all. I had to go out and readjust them myself. After they left, I did another thorough walkthrough and found yet another sprinkler head that is completely dead. Honestly, if you’re a professional sprinkler repairman looking for extra work, you should hire these guys for a sewer replacement—they’ll give you plenty to do. For everyone else, beware. I’m just going to fix the rest of this myself rather than dealing with the high-pressure attitude I get whenever I call them for repairs. Despite the high reviews, it felt like they only cared about slopping the job together as fast as possible to get to the next paycheck. I will never use them again.

Absolutely horrible service and obscenely expensive. They installed a hot water heater which was ok, but a bit of a mess that I had to clean up upstairs where they installed it. However, they left me with a water hammer that rattles and slams my pipes every time the toilet is flushed, but they then claimed weeks later when I called about it that it was not their fault or their problem (and yes they would be happy to charge me a big fee to fix it). It did not exist before the hot water heater was installed. The manager was supposed to call me about this, but could never be bothered. I also found, when I looked around in my crawl space to see if I could fix it myself, that they had ripped off all of the insulation around my vent to the furnace and also left that pile of insulation and all of their scraps for ME to clean up. Super expensive for the install because they knew I had few other choices, and then they wanted to charge me another huge fee to fix the water hammer that they created by not properly draining and testing the system after the hot water heater install. Now I have a HUGE mess in my crawl space to clean up, I have to buy new insulation and re-wrap my venting and try to fix the water hammer myself since I am now so far in debt from the water heater that I simply can't afford to get it fixed by someone else. Very disappointed and disgusted in this and all of the other work they have done for me lately. I will not be using them again for anything since I am not interested in having my pocket picked (again) while they then leave me with a big mess to fix (again). Note: tried calling the manager as noted below and he never called me back. Comments here are only for Yelp readers, apparently.

This is the worst plumbing company around. They have terrible front office management and they are way overpriced. Find a good local plumber and stick with that. The owner of this company is a total fraud. I manage properties and in one of many cases, this company went out on a call for a boiler, charged a lot to "service" (said they cleaned it) and sent a bid for over 2k for additional service. I sent out a second boiler tech from another company, he sent pictures that clearly showed it was not cleaned and he was able to fix it on the spot for a small fee (Under 150). The owner of Blue Sky would not call me back so I could get a refund for the owner for the lack of service they said they performed and charged us for. He doesn't care. He only cares about making money. Today I sent Blue Sky to a property for a water heater leak. Of course it needs to be replaced and wanted approval to do the work. I had to ask for a bid. 5000k for a 50 gal gas water heater replacement. I am having another company do the work for less than half the price. For referene, A Rheem 50 gas 38000 natural gas water heater costs 850. You MUST give them a credit card so they can charge you without consent. They only care about making money. They hire people who are not well trained and cannot manage communication on every level from the admin to the techs. Worst company ever. Every time I work with them, they are terrible. I only call when I have an emergency but after today, never again. Find a local ethical plumber, don't use Blue Sky. It's unfortunate I have to give 1 star here, they don't even deserve that.

We contacted Blue Sky to investigate installation of a mini-split HVAC. The sales consultant was a former installer of other equipment, but seemed knowledgeable about the equipment and was polite and thoughtful. Of note, he'd been with Blue Sky for a long time as an installer and now a sales consultant. Near the end of the tour, he "prepared" us for the coming quote with a number that seemed on the high side, even including rebates from the power company. But he had to work up the quote to refine it. When we received the quote it was nearly double the ballpark number he floated while at our house. We replied to the quote to gain understanding. No response. We received a call from a different person (seemed like an administrative person) asking if we had any questions. We said yes and that we had replied to the quote. The person said they were sitting with our sales consultant and would make sure he got back to us. No response. We waited a few days and again reached out. No response. We've since moved on and found not one, but two good companies that provided quotes for the identical equipment at 1/3 the cost quoted from Blue Sky. Those companies were within 4% of each other in price. The lack of response to our inquiries regarding the written quote provided was unprofessional. We had always heard Blue Sky was very expensive and that was indeed confirmed. There are lots of competent companies to do work and we would encourage potential customers to get multiple quotes if considering Blue Sky.
