Emergency Response
Customer service recovery: When a pricing dispute arose, management credited the contested $110 charge and resolved the complaint promptly after the customer posted a negative review.
What To Watch Out For
Quality control failure on first visit: One technician failed to diagnose a known issue (overflow valve leak), cut an unnecessary ceiling hole, and didn't test the repair, forcing a costly second visit and ceiling reconstruction.
Limited accountability for technician errors: When a first technician caused damage and failed to complete the job, management only waived the second $85 service call rather than addressing $1,300+ in avoidable costs and ceiling damage.
Tool-use surcharges: One reviewer was charged an extra $110 service fee because the technician used a channel lock wrench to turn a valve, described by the customer as 'ridiculous' and a 'do not recommend' issue.

Update: Blitch did the right thing and credited what I felt was an unfair charge. I appreciate the fact that miscommunication and misunderstandings happen, and I applaud their quick response to my review and concern! That is how business should be done! Kudos to Blitch Plumbing! Buyer beware. Found them by referral. $80 service call ( 10 minutes) charged $110 more because the tech pulled out a channel lock to turn on a valve. Truly ridiculous. Do not recommend. No kidding. Any tool use bounces your fee.
Back in November, my daughter had a plumbing issue at her house. She and her husband called another company who came out and told her that she had a blocked drain and she would need to spend $27,000 to rip up the floor and run new drains between the bathroom and the kitchen. She was in a panic. It was C&C Meyers. They would not even put a camera down the line to see where the issue was. I have used Blitch many times in the past and suggested they give them a call. They came out the next day and put a camera down the pipe identified the problem and recommended a course of action. They showed up the following Monday morning and in two days had run a new pipe and cut the old one. The total bill was less than 1/5! They left their area immaculate every day and kept everyone informed. My son-in-law is an engineer and was super impressed. I could not recommend Blitch highly enough. They will always be my first and only call when it comes to plumbing.
I have been with Blitch plumbing for over 40 years. We have had just about every plumbing issue there is over the 40 years. They always come that day or the day after we call. Their highly skilled technicians are always polite and explain everything and cost up front. My most recent issue, old copper pipes leaking. Their technicians DW and Damien went above and beyond. I would highly recommend having Blitch plumbing as your only company to call. Robin Crisp
Several weeks ago I contacted Blitch Plumbing to fix a leak from the upstairs bath of a rental property. I described the leak and the conditions of it perfectly, that it occurred when the tenant took a bath and that it was most definitely coming from the overflow valve from the tub. The first "technician" dispatched cut a hole in my ceiling and determined that the overflow needed to be tightened, he described one screw as "stripped" (that had not previously been stripped) and he tightened the other one. He failed to check to see if the leak still persisted afterwards. Later that evening when my tenant took her bath (due to her recently broken foot) the bathtub started leaking onto the first floor, again. This time plain as day (since there's an unnecessarily large hole cut in the first floor ceiling) my tenant informed me, that just as we already knew it was coming from the overflow. I contacted Blitch Plumbing the following morning to inform them of the issue, and what their "technician" did and the fact that not only did he fail to fix my issue, but failed to even remotely try to or test the cause of the issue. (Nevermind the stripped screw that would take five minutes to fix if it wasn't for the fact that I live 4 hours away). Blitch Plumbing sent out a 2nd technician who confirmed that as I told them originally the overflow was causing the leak and that the pipe had deteriorated so whenever my tenant took a bath it would run out. The 2nd technician was professional and fixed the issue. The only concession Blitch Plumbing offered was waiving the $85 service call for the second technician. I prefer my work done professionally, quickly, and right the first time, however I'm now out of nearly $1,300.00 for one "technician" that ignored the work order entirely, and I'm having to pay a different professional to repair the unnecessarily large hole in my first floor ceiling. The good news is the 2nd technician actually fixed the leak. The bad news is not only did Blitch Plumbing waste my time, my tenants time, but they also wasted my money since it should have been able half of what they charged for the repair. The only reason I give them 2 stars instead of one is because the 2nd technician was helpful and fixed the problem, however management was uncaring regarding the issues with the first technician and only wanted to concede the 2nd $85 service fee. I'd stay far away from this company.
I'm so grateful for Blitch Plumbing. I live in an older house, and have had to use their services many times for various repairs. Lucky me, Ben came to the rescue this morning to fix a running toilet that no amount of "jiggling" could remedy. He fixed the toilet, made me smile, and my day started on a higher note than I expected. So thanks to Blitch again for friendly and professional service that's also very timely!
