We have had work done with Black Hills in the past. Very pleased with that work. We had 2 heat pumps installed, this time. What a difference to what we had in a new build. The lead HVAC tech was Brady. An amazing and professional young man. As well as TJ. Very personable and friendly. Great eye contact and great care explaining their actions. To even asking if and what bathroom they may use. Brady is going places in this company. Our home was his 1st lead job. I would have never known. They were on time. Their truck was immaculate. They were efficient and cleaned everything up perfectly. Wore their shoe covers in home. Took off every time they went outside. We have had the pumps for a few weeks. They are wonderful. The electrical work we had done in past and these heat pumps did not disappoint. So much so we had a generator installed. Highly recommend Black Hills. If they send Brady and TJ they will not disappoint.
My experience with Black Hills, Inc. was exceptional from beginning to end. It began with Devin, who serviced our HVAC systems and recommended the installation of a split unit in our sunroom. From there, David Griffis took the time to provide thorough information and answer all of our questions. He was consistently helpful, knowledgeable, and highly professional throughout the entire process. Melissa did an excellent job coordinating and scheduling the installation team. One aspect of their communication that particularly stood out was the consistent updates provided through both text and email, including photographs of the technicians and notifications regarding their arrival times. This level of professionalism and customer service was truly impressive. Brian and his assistant arrived promptly, conducted themselves courteously, and completed the split unit installation efficiently and professionally. Joshua, the electrician, and his assistant then completed the electrical work seamlessly. Overall, this team of professionals provided us with an outstanding temperature control system that we will greatly enjoy in our sunroom. To further demonstrate their appreciation for their customers, they even sent us a thoughtful gift afterward.
Thank you so much Bryan P! You saved the day! Black Hills will always be my FIRST call from now on! Not only did you fit me into a tight timeframe but you were fast, friendly and efficient! I’m happy to brag about your work! You exceeded my expectations with customer service, excellent communication and quality of work! Jonnita T.
Hired to flush slow draining driveway pipe. Quoted $1500 for hydrojet service. Technician then refused to flush line due to existing type of pipe. Only option offered was replacement drain pipe, costing $4500. Technician was hand digging the drain field. Since it was nearly noon on a short day I urged him to start next day to avoid being rushed. Tech "guaranteed" work finished "before dark". I asked how much damage to expect was told "you will notice there was a trench". Unbeknownst to me he had ordered a large backhoe to do the job, not the small ditching machine I thought appropriate. Excavating badly damaged the root system of the large shade tree that graces our lawn, I expressed concern to be told " tree has lots of roots". As a former arborist I recognize the peril of such drastic damage. Little effort was made to mitigate impact to our property, border blocks thrown carelessly on existing plantings, spill dumped widely, turf buried in mud. Trench was mostly filled in an hour after dark, I stated that the project was very poorly restored and was told that he "thought it was pretty good considering the time frame". Remember that I had requested a full day for the work. The company has offered to send the same plumber out next week to work on the damage, but I have little faith in a worker that reminded us several times that he :is not a landscaper". I appreciate the offer but will hire a local service, as I am 76 year old disabled veteran and can't do this work myself. Photos show damage to lawn, plantings, and extent of support and feeding roots destroyed.
We have had an excellent experience with Black Hills, Inc so far. Fred C came out to help with the install of a new thermostat but after finding an issue with the compatibility he reinstalled our other one. He did a thorough check of the furnace at my request and gave me so much helpful information. Answered every single question i had, made somw reccomendations etc He suggested based on thr 26year old HVAC system that we have in our new home we sit down with a tech and go over what we may want. He was so kind and so helpful. Alex M came next day to sit down with us to discuss what we are looking for. Like Fred, he was very kind, easy to talk to, funny and well informed. He went over all our options, addressed all our concerns and answered every single question we had. He even looked at our generator and a wall outlet and wil be sending a seperate quote for that. He got us scheduled right away for the HVAC system install. I can update later on how that goes but I just wanted to shout out both those men as they were both highly professional, kind, informative and thorough. We feel great about choosing to do business with Black Hills, Inc.
