My name's is Marianne H from San Leandro. Jorge came out this afternoon and fixed the leak in my toilet. I used another plumber who did a bad job which caused the leak. Jorge saw the issue right away and fix it perfectly. He is professional, on time, and a very nice person. He is explained the issue and showed me. I can't believe the average rating is so high here. I've used them twice, both experiences were negative but I gave them a second shot hoping the first time was a fluke. No. Absolutely awful communication. They ignore three replies to their emailed quote (two people confirmed they check their email, but I never got a follow up). I have repeatedly had to follow up with with them about scheduling confirmations, which they botched. If I had not proactively followed up, they would not have. After reaching back out, they said they'd rescheduled my appointment for the next day because that's when they had a boiler technician -- I did not call about a boiler. Shockingly bad service.

Our son was moving into his new apartment and we noticed water coming from the ceiling light fixture in the kitchen. The property manager called this company and Ruben came out on a Sunday afternoon shortly after being called. He quickly diagnosed the problem coming from the apartment above and was able to fix it. He was very polite and professional. He took great care to protect everything in the kitchen from the debris as he removed the wet Sheetrock. Thanks Ruben. Update Well, we we were told it was fixed but it is still leaking water through the big hole in the unrepaired ceiling. I expected the water to stop leaking from the upstairs shower but it is still raining in the.kitchen. Very unhappy. The repairman asked us to write a review because his employer pays him $20 for every 5 star review. Five star work doesn’t undo itself in one week.

I liked the company for a few reasons. They aim to inform the customer of the details and give choices. They would've been fine if we investigated it here where the problem was but being we really didn't have the tools to do the correct investigation, we asked the plumbers to do that for us, but that would've been a savings of almost $200 right off the bat so I think giving that choice is very nice. They were able to make the repairs about three or four days after they came for the investigation, but after the investigation and analyzing of the problem, they did make a temporary repair repair so that there was no water leak and that was really nice. Because of the amount of water in the garage from the leak, they also loaned a dehumidifier to pull the water out and there was an incredible amount of water and moisture in the area so that was really really nice. Jesus is a really good problem solver and I told him that he was and I'm sure he is really valuable to the company. Ruben was a tall strong man. They were both strong and good listeners too. I would say they were also very good at communication and that's such an important piece of running a good business. The repairs were just finished today and I'm pretty sure everything will be fine. We'll probably call them in the future because of their sincerity and upfront attitude. ☺️ Another thing about the company is that they don't have people who they can recommend to do the drywall but we can find that. Some companies recommend drywall people and so they were upfront about that, though they said they didn't have anyone that they could recommend so that's OK. Communication is everything. I really appreciate getting them to do the repair.

Big Brothers Plumbing was contracted to fix some old pipes at my apartment. I rent, so the property management company handled the cost, but everything else I had direct contact with them about and they were above and beyond! The apartment building I live in has old plumbing and the pipes were making a loud knocking/tapping sound in the middle of the night in the bedroom and they were driving me crazy. This sound was happening for more than 2 years (waited a bit during covid as well, and the sound got increasingly worse in the 2 years). This has all been solved by the wonderful people at Big Brothers plumbing. I am finally able to sleep well at night. Sarai on dispatch, Antonio who did most of the work, and Angel who initially assess the situation and also helped out on the work were exceptional. Communication was clear from the start when Sarai reached out to make an appointment and was very transparent on what to expect and how long the appointments would take throughout the process. Angel and Antonio laid out a walkway mat and used plastic sheets in the bedroom to make sure dust from opening up the ceiling didn't get everywhere. They also vacuumed the area super well after the work was done. I had spoken to 2 other plumbers just in passing about this situation - plumbers who were fixing other issues in the apartment - and both of them brushed off the knocking sound and said there wasn't much to do because the building was old. Angel really took charge and was instantly able to assess the issue and start on a plan to fix.

We worked with them to fix our tub and shower leaking. They did a good job replacing the washers but a few days later, the leaks were worse. Initially, we thought the issue was due to the workmanship they did but after sitting with them as they troubleshot the issue, we discovered the new leaks were caused by sediment rupturing the new washers. They helped fix the issue again. Now, here was the dilemma - did they have to come out again because they didn't do a thorough enough job? Or was our core plumbing the issue? I won't bore you with the resolution but instead, I'll tell you that they were honest, trustworthy, and willing to make us happy with a resolution that was good for both parties. That's all you can ask for when it comes to tricky grey area plumbing and HVAC issues. P.s. Angel is the man! He was nice, thorough, honest, and just wanted to make sure we were happy.

I have used Big Brother on several occasions. I am a retired Public Works Inspector, and I can confidently recommend Angel as one of the most professional and competent plumbers I have ever encountered. Once, the burner had gone out on my water heater and I called Angel to replace it. He could have replaced it and taken my money, but he called Sears and spoke to various people on my behalf to have them send their plumber to replace the burner, under warranty, at no cost to me. Angel wouldn't even charge me for his time. He said, "I didn't fix it, so I can't charge you". When Angel has done work for me, he is always very courteous and professional. I have even recommended him to my in-laws and that's quite a testament! I will always use Big Brother for any plumbing projects and you should too.

I've had Jorge Rojas from Big Brothers Plumbing Inc. service my apartment twice now, for both the kitchen and bathroom sinks. On both occasions, Jorge was swift in diagnosing the issues and did not hesitate to replace the necessary fixtures on the spot. His repair on the kitchen sink has been sturdy and issue-free for over six months, and I'm confident in the longevity of the recent bathroom fix as well. Additionally, the responsiveness of the team at Big Brothers Plumbing Inc. deserves praise. I received a prompt call from their coordinator the morning after submitting a maintenance request, which speaks to their ability and dedication to customer service. Highly recommend Jorge Rojas as a technician and Big Brothers Plumbing Inc. for all your plumbing needs!

While attempting to modify my irrigation system, I ended up breaking the heavily corroded old galvanized line to my house. I was able to patch it but needed a professional fix quickly. Angel from Big Brothers plumbing came out the very next morning, provided me a reasonable estimate, and started the work that same day. And when it turned out they didn’t need to replace some of the pipe that had been earmarked for replacement, Angel was honest about it and saved me a couple thousand dollars. That kind of integrity you don’t see often. They finished the job in few hours and did great work. Shout out to Luis and Ruben as well. Highly recommend these guys, they are great people!

My tankless water heater wasn’t working and I called multiple places. Angel from Big Brothers Plumbing was willing to troubleshoot a bit over the phone and had me test if gas was on or off to my house by having me turn on my furnace. He was the only person to ask this question before scheduling an appt to come out. We found out the earthquake safety gas valve had been triggered and no gas was coming into my house. By simply fixing that my water heater started working again and no one needed to come out to help! I can’t thank this business enough for being so customer-centric and saving me money and getting my water heater back up and running! Will definitely call them again.

Ended up not going with their service as their quote was higher than another plumbing company. But totally understandable as some companies may charge lower by reducing cost somewhere but some companies can't. But Big Brothers were a pleasure to work with up to the end of getting the quote. They were very thorough in their inspection, provided good service in following up each step of the way, and even when I had to turn down their quote, they were very gracious and kind - unlike some companies that I had to deal with before where they become rude. Definitely would call them for future small plumbing work because of the AWESOME customer service I got.

The BEST!!!! Here they are, the LAST plumber you will ever need! Finally! After years of repeatedly getting the special Old Widow Pricing from my previous plumber, (compete with horror stories) a friend recommended Big Brothers. Felix came the same day! He not only fixed the problem, but all on his own, tightened and fixed some things he noticed that would have become problematic. For what seemed like a bargain of a price. And gave me a senior discount. I would have proposed marriage, but he was actually 50 years too young for me. What a find!!! Finally, somebody I can depend on. Stop looking at reviews.
