Writing this for my dad who isn't great with technology. I’m a retired home builder and have been pleased with Bernie’s. They are reliable and there workman ship is excellent!
Bernie’s has been taking care of our somewhat elaborate heating system for many years. We’ve been pleased with their knowledge and careful attention to this work.
Great experiences with Bernie’s thru many years. Have had them to my house for multiple issues and always felt they treated me fairly and professionally and completed the work quickly too! Would have them back anytime and would highly recommend them to anyone needing plumbing+.
Hi Mapleton Hill folk - The best plumbers in the universe are Bernie's Plumbing. My house on Pine Street was built in 1870 and had the most convoluted plumbing and heating system in the world; copper and galvanized plumbing plus having to deal with four separate heating systems - two forced air gas systems, a hot water system added in 1961, plus a fireplace heating system for a portion of the downstairs. Since 1956, Bernie’s Plumbing & Heating, has provided customers with the highest level of service, guaranteeing 100% satisfaction on every job. For more than six decades, their dedication to providing residential and commercial clients the best possible plumbing and heating services, along with a steady rate of expansion, have allowed them to become one of the region's leading service providers. The success they’ve enjoyed is the result of hard work, innovation, quality, cost effectiveness and extraordinary expertise. With a passion for quality, they are prepared to meet your plumbing and heating needs. Their plumbing and heating crews carry an extensive service background and are always in the know about the latest plumbing technology. So, they’re ready to handle any plumbing situation, whether it’s providing drain cleaning, water main repairs, sewer main repairs, lift station maintenance, heating repairs or replacement, or even commercial water heater repairs. I've always been satisfied with plumbers that work for Bernie's. For many years the two most common methods of joining copper tube and fittings have been soldering and brazing. These tried and true methods are in a number of ways similar, yet there are also several distinct differences that set them apart. Trust me on this. No surprises with Bernie! Jon Bond Former owner on Mapleton Hill - sigh, now a town-home owner in East Boulder. In the end they are winners! They (Bernie's Plumbing) are a group of those great people who don’t wait for opportunities to come and knock on their door but step out to look for them. All service over the years is the best! A job that is well done is like a benchmark. My benchmark for Bernie's is simply that they are a milestone that will always do a better job every time. Having service from Bernie's is always exceptional plus they are a group who can innovate where necessary and also pull for their best to get the work done so beautifully needs nothing but appreciation. I feel grateful, almost charmed, to have them on a permanent basis ! ! !
Can't think of another service where I'd want the best, and Joe and his team fit the bill. From the few times I've had to call with a question on a home project, to an actual fullbore installation, these guys rock! I like it when folks take pride in their work and can tell from the quality and yes, I'll say it, sheer beauty of the installation work they've done for me and many others in the community, they take pride and ownership in what they do. They're transparent, clear and deliver what they promise. They're also clean and tidy. Their price point seems on par with competitors - actually way more competitive than a few others I've been in touch with. For me, the "' 'ya get what you pay for " holds water, especially when it comes to plumbing. Importantly, they're local. They and their families live in the area. I can confidently and strongly do recommend these guys at Bernie's.
I’ve been relying on Bernie’s Plumbing to service my baseboard heating system for the past year, and their work has always been top-notch. They’re not only thorough and professional but also consistently fair in their pricing—there are no hidden fees or unnecessary upsells (looking at you, Mesa). Their integrity really shone through recently when my elderly neighbor needed a new boiler. Bernie’s Plumbing stepped in, offered her a very affordable price (way better than other companies) and did a great job. The kindness and honesty they treated her with speaks volumes about their ethics and commitment to their customers. If you’re looking for a reliable plumbing and heating company that delivers quality service at a fair cost, I can’t recommend Bernie’s Plumbing highly enough. They’ve earned my trust, and I know you’ll be in good hands with them as well.
I have two rental properties that I have had a variety of reasons to call Bernie's for over the years + I have used them at my home. They are ALWAYS prompt and take care of the issues correctly the first time. We wondered if we needed to replace our water heater yet. Bernie's did not try to take advantage of us by selling us something we did not need. We really appreciated that. You typically get to talk to a PERSON and not a machine, which is refreshing. Even if I have had to leave a message they call me right back. I have tried other companies and have had terrible experiences so I only trust Bernie's anymore. They truly are the best!
I would absolutely give 10 stars if I could. Despite Mitch being harassed for no reason by my older mother, he added on so many things to a standard water heater replacement at no cost, that other companies surely would have gouged a customer for. He added 2 shut off valves to the tank, replaced the lame flex metal connectors (another company had put on) with copper lines, replaced the thermal expansion tank and triple checked and changed the whole house pressure. I am really sorry Mitch about my mother and I am so grateful people like you and companies like Bernie's still exist.
Bernie's has provided services for us on a number of occasions. Their people are polite, pleasant, on time, and are happy to explain what needs repair and why. I will always try to call Bernie's first. Bernie's has been especially helpful in dealing with the boiler for out hot water heating system. While many firms are not very familiar with home boiler systems (they are more common in commercial buildings), Bernie's has been able to help us with whatever we need. On top of the great service, Bernie's is a local small business.
The folks at Bernie's take good care of me. I had a complicated radiant heating system, and they worked very hard to make sure it's running as efficiently as possible. I moved, and now that I live in a house with a more standard plumbing system, they are available to meet my needs. When the water heater died on a Friday, it was replaced on Monday. I trust them. And they're really nice, and good communicators. They are not the cheapest, but they are super quality.
I have used this company for several years now, and they have been great. I have had the same technician inspect and clean my furnace two years in a row and he was great. He on time, friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. He did a great job cleaning my furnace and informing about what he did. I also used them for a shower repair once and they did a great job on that as well. I would highly recommend this company for plumbing and heating repairs and maintenance.
We've used Bernie's four or five times now for various issues. They do very good work at a reasonable cost, unlike some of the area shops which spend tons of money on advertising - which YOU pay for. As a general rule, imho, the more times you see prominent ads for "Amazing Plumbing," or whatever, in the newspaper or in coupon books, the more you need to avoid such a company. And beware of so-called "flat rate" billing. Speaking from experience.
Bernie's replaced our indirect fired water heater (boiler system) and we couldn't be happier with their service. They were extremely knowledgeable on the system (something other companies were not). They stuck to the estimate, did a great job and were very professional. Bernie's even handled finding out if the old tank was under warranty and got us a refund from the manufacturer. We definitely recommend Bernie's!
Bernie's is the only plumbing company in Boulder that I know of who either carries or has access to faucets for homes built in the 1970's and 1980's. They have done replacements for two off my rental properties, are quick to diagnose problems, show up on time and clean up after themselves. They are the only plumbing company I will use in Boulder.
I was extremely happy with my experience of purchasing a new water heater. From my first email to Bernie's to the cleanup of the 2 man crew it was a pleasure working with them. It felt like they knew exactly what they were doing and they wanted me to be satisfied with each big decision that had to be made. I would highly recommend them.
