Curtis was very professional and fixed our hot water heater promptly. I would definitely recommend Curtis.
Very polite and professional
Friendly, timely, and efficient service. Was able to pin point the issue and fix it quickly.
A few years ago they came out to replace a leaking drain. About a year later, it started leaking. They came out and repaired the leaking drain. It's now leaking again and the warranty is expired. I suspect they halfway fix things so that it fails again. It is a bad business practice to keep returning customers. How halfway do you have to repair or replace something that won't even make it out of the warranty period, let alone for 5 years.
So I have a broken line and they came over to see what was going on. A lot of problems are going on but we paid for him to stop the leaks from the pipes underneath the sink. Put all new piping in and still he didn't even go back to make sure it wouldn't leak and yep it still leaking from the pipe. So I don't know but if you can't even put together PVC pipe properly shouldn't be a plumber. I even asked him to check before he left that it wouldn't leak and he definitely didn't so pretty upset with very unprofessional. He even had an attitude towards us at one point just basically threatening to just leave after I said I would have someone come and give us another after he told us to fix everything it would be 25,000$ of course I'm going to get another quote so him threatening after I said that very unprofessional
I had a cook top installed and I smelled a faint smell of gas and called Atmos gas company (first mistake) they came out and said my cook top lines needed tightened but stated when they cut it off at the stove my gas was still going so they turned my gas off in my entire house stating that I had a leak without having me turn off my appliances including my heat. This was 12/23 right before Christmas and took my meter which meant I had to get a leak inspection from a licensed plumber and a city inspection which is very costly. I couldn’t get anyone to come out due to the holidays and the earliest I could get someone was 12/31 which was Swat plumbing (do not recommend) and they was trying to charge an ungodly amount and what they described needed to be done for a leak inspection was not what I googled and said it would take 4 to 6 hours(not true) but I prayed about it and called Benjamin Franklin plumbing the lady said she could get somebody out TODAY!! When I tell you ATHENS CLINKSCALE IS AN ANGEL I mean it, he not only fixed my issue he calls with me and spoke with Atmos (Gas company) and explained that the technician that came out did not diagnose the gas issue properly and that I should not be charged for a permit and convinced them to turn my gas back on that night within an hour I was up an running. In today’s society you don’t find honest companies like this or customer service. This was NEW YEARS EVE! and he did try to price gouge me or get over this company is definitely a HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!! and Athen is definitely a great asset to any company!
Daniel was very informative, professional, and personable as he explained, thoroughly, different aspects of services that would help extend the life of my HVAC system. He was efficient and timely in his work. Today I had both plumbing and HVAC out for regular maintenance. Oscar discovered the source of the problem I was having with my air conditioner and got right on it. He found the last coil in the warehouse. Then Brian and Jose immediately went to obtain the coil and did all the repairs in an efficient and timely manner. All 3 men were professional, personable, and educated as to the equipment. Hunter was very informative, friendly, and professional. He did his work in a timely manner and let me know the details as he progressed. Athens was very thorough explaining each step, taking me through the whole process, and going beyond to help me locate the source of my problem in my sprinkler system. He gave new life to a 30-year old system as I am now able to turn off the water to that without affecting the water to my house. Very knowledgeable and a hard worker! Jose Jaramillo was efficient and friendly! He was very informative.
*** UPDATE *** The office manager called me, and was very set on trying to "educate me" on how his practices were ethical, and defend his company. If I could give negative stars after that interaction I would. At the end of the day, these guys are rip off artist, don't use them. ***** End Update ***** I had a slow flushing toilet, I called them to come out. The guy who came was very professional. However, he quoted $180 to fix the toilet, and he said that if Auging it didn't work then it would be $680 to pull the toilet. He attempted to Auger the toilet and didn't get any results. So then we began to talk about other options, he then informed that he would charge me for the both the $180 attempt and $680 attempt even though $180 did not actually work. At that point, I paid him $180 and asked him to leave. Basically they came into my home and ripped me off. Had I used any other plumber, they would have charged me the hourly rate, and not left until the job was done. Do Not Call these guys unless you want to get ripped off. FYI... I went to home depot, purchased a 6 ft Auger ($70), and got the weak flush fixed myself.
I had Benjamin Franklin out to do a hydrostatic test prior to a foundation repair. They said they found a leak, then charged me almost $1000 extra to find the leak. First I was told 99% sure it was in one place, but the next day it was somewhere else. They are, of course, real big on tunneling for the repair, which is way more expensive, and the "new" leak location was farther away, so even more expensive. The supervisor said (paraphrased) "Since I can't find a leak, that's why I think it's a glue seal problem." !! They also (unasked) ran cameras in the front yard and found a "problem" there. I had another plumber out who did the hydrostatic test and said the house passed. A third plumber looked at BF's photos of both places and could see nothing indicating a leak or problem. I don't trust this company at all, and feel they tried to take advantage of a concerned, single, older woman.
So I used Benjamin Franklin plumbing when I first moved into my house years ago and they were great. But today the customer service was unreal. Athens not only diagnosed the problem quickly, he also went through every possible option for getting the fix I needed. He walked me through everything step by step, gave wonderful insight, but didn't make me feel obligated to commit to anything right away like other plumbers/technicians I've worked with. He is clearly invested into doing what's best for the homeowner, but was also realistic about expectations and understanding of the realities people face when they suddenly have an unexpected large expense. 10/10 would work with Athens again.
A friend referred me to Benjamin Franklin Plumbing after some frustrating experience with some other company. The highlights of my experience was working with their technician called Athens. He was very friendly, professional and you could tell that he knew his job. What impressed me the most about him is his integrity. He did not try to upsell you but he recommended the most practical solution to your problem. Its a rare quality these days. I will recommend this company at any time if you have a plumbing issue
Billy Cates and Hunter Bailey were super professional and personable. We had used Billy before so we were not surprised by his work ethic. The water line in the kitchen wall split on Christmas Eve. I called Benjamin Franklin shortly after we stopped the water flow and shut off the water. We were scheduled for Monday with a maybe for Sunday afternoon. Billy answered all our questions without hesitation explaining the issues, materials used, warranty for repair and situations in layman terms.
What a kind and knowledgeable employee Josh is! Our elderly neighbor needed some expert advice and our Local Arlington Plumbing Company Benjamin Franklin Plumbing came highly recommended by two of our neighbors and did not disappoint. Luckily the problem was not plumbing and the benefit came in being able to get a double check on HVAC and Water Heater for the year with senior discounts and a great price with additional discounts to help keep our neighbor safe. Definitely recommend.
I called Benjamin Franklin to replace a leaking bibs in the front and back yard. They had replaced the back yard bib almost five years ago but it was covered by their warranty. This job was done quickly but the back yard bib was done poorly. I contacted them about it and they sent someone out the next day and repaired it to my satisfaction. Bottom line, I've used them twice now and I'm satisfied with the results and the prices they charge. I recommend them. Roger C. Mansfield Tx
I paid about $4,472 for a jetting zone bath drain and a broken sewer line repair. I removed 2 stars for a mistake that was corrected and their phone representative. Michaela's failed shaming attempt to try and defuse a very stressful situation was offensive, to say the least. You don't tell people what there is and isn't a need for. That sarcastic remark was very unprofessional in my opinion.
