Ira did a fantastic job closing off the pipes and drain for an old sink that was removed. He explains everything and gives you different options.

Arrived on time (Isreal) very professional explained everything in great detail. Offered maintenance tips. Completely satisfied our plumbing concerns. Would highly recommend this company.

Jeremy tried troubleshooting the possible water leak. He checked the site of the original leak, the toilet and the main water line. He even suggested it could be a roof leak. Finally, we decided on the toilet repair since the water spot was below the bathroom toilet. Hopefully this repair solved my problem but it bears watching in case the leak wasn't from the toilet.

Failed in EVERY ASPECT! Installed an HVAC system while I was at work-- TOO LARGE for my ductwork. The system short cycled for 2LONG years ( where my car was warmer than my home) Sure , they would show up w/in 24 hrs -- performing scam measurements that NEVER fixed the problem!! Finally I was able to afford 10K to replace their system with one from Michael and Son, which has operated PERFECTLY!! I'm STILL in litigation to recover som of my expense from this GREEDY & UNSCRUPULOUS business!!

i previously reviwed ben franklin--- giving them a generous 3 star rating for a thourough assessment of my hvac/ plumbing HOWEVER, once i signed a contract, andagreed to the start date (a day i was at work) i came home to an unrecognizeable situation: there was , indeed, a new hvac system installed with ABSOLUTELY NO manufacterer's paperwork and NOT EVEN the manufacterers label indicating make and model! There was sumply their 1-800 number and the BEN FRANKLIN LOGO!!!!!! 9 i was able to determine manufacturers info by shrewed investigation: i asked a BGE tecnician what kind it was--- he identified it as a GOODMAN, and said it looked TOO LARGE for my ductwork,, Which indeed explained an issue i had since installation: ShortCycling, I KEPT CALLING THAT 800 NUMBER AND,, SURE ENOUGH, SOMEONE WOULD SHOW UP, perform a SHAM inspectuion (NEVER using a thermometer at a register) and pronouce they had adjusted '"something" long story short ; this went on for 2 long years, when my car was warmer than my home!!!!!! When I, finally had time to follow up with a WRITTEN descripyion of my problem , after legal consultation, i NEVER heard from them again! in short, to correct this problem, i hired michael & son to remove their oversized system and replace it with a system that has worked perfectly since installation in march 2024 at a cost of 10K. i am STILL seeking legal resolution of this matter!! greedy AND unscrupulous-- NO WONDER THEY ARE NOT ON ANGIES LIST! ' '

I was more than thrilled with the work that Ira Miller completed to replace my water neutralizer and softener system and a toilet bowl. It involved 10 hours of meticulous nonstop work from this highly experienced master. I was with Ira all day. I am only writing this because it was clear to me that Ira is a plumber's plumber and the best of the best. I now consider Ira my permanent plumber. He was always clear in describing his plan and what he was doing at every step. His organization and planning was thorough. All communications were crisp, clear, knowledgeable, and respectful. Minor options were fully considered, with me in the loop along the way. Everything about his installation was not rushed and extremely neat, working at a fast pace attending to all the details. Remarkable was Ira's consistent stamina on this physically demanding job. He protected all surfaces, and left no trace except for the final product. Ira's professional attitude and clear communication was the same as I experienced with his entire Ben Franklin management team, his boss Chad and support staff. During the week prior to the work Ira immediately responded to my questions by phone and text. The main thing that built my confidence was Ira saying that he loved his work. That passion was clear at every step. This is not an ordinary review. Ira exceeded all of my expectations having a career engineering background. Ira's proficiency is up there among the best I have known across many technical fields. I commented to him that the installation was not only exacting and functional but artful. I am looking forward to Ira helping me on several upcoming projects.

We hired Ira Miller to repair a sump pump drainage line in our yard that was cracked as a result of some landscaping work we had done. To say we are thrilled with the job he did would be an understatement. He was super friendly and courteous from start to finish, and very respectful of the property. He went above and beyond to protect all our outside surfaces from dirt, and there was only minimal disturbance to the yard and the mulch bed. He even did a great job tamping down the topsoil and raking the mulch back in place--from looking at it, you wouldn't even know anything happened! It's rare to find a plumber who takes such care in their work, without rushing at all, and in their communication as well. He clearly explained the pricing structure, and the cost was exactly what he said from the beginning. We were happy to also sign up for the company's service plan, since we plan on staying with this company for a very long time!

In May 2023 I've had an absolutely bizarre experience with this Ben Franklin location and their plumber Chris B. and office staff. He came out as requested but they have REFUSED - after texts, phone calls, and emails - to simply send me the estimate as promised. And they won't explain why. This could be because I (peaceably) questioned the proposed price of a 40-gallon water heater replacement ($3,300?) or (accidentally!) left without signing the estimate (I shook Chris's hand and got his business card and said goodbye and he didn't say a thing about me needing to sign anything). I've never run into a situation like this. From the plumber up to the office management, there's something wrong with this shop.

Irs Miller of Ben Franklin Plumbing,Mt. Airy, MD phoned 15 mins before he was due at my home to let me know he would be on time. He introduced himself & went right to work doing routine maintenance on my tankless water heater. Once completed he asked permission to check both bathrooms plumbing and then checked water hookups on my washer & explained what he was doing. He adjusted water levels in both toilet tanks, adjusted slow flush too He was friendly & professional and pointed out some future trouble spots to be aware of My maintenance. plan with them is ongoing & zi trust their advice. We just reached out to BF plumbing today for a major leak that made us turn off the water to our house. We were able to schedule an appointment for the same day and honestly everyone that I talked to on the phone was so nice. Before the plumber showed up they let me know his name and even texted a head shot so I would know who was coming. Once Ira showed up he did a very thorough job of laying out the pricing policy and making sure we were comfortable to proceed. Once we did, he worked quick and efficient and we had the water back on. It was about six hours from my initial call to having the water back on, and no negative interactions along the way. Highly recommend these folks and Ira in particular.

David Laboskie was an absolute godsend. We had trouble with the situation for about three days, which forced my family into a single bathroom. He was able to explain the situation and help me plan for fixing it for a VERY reasonable price. Would absolutely recommend this service. On the second day, I got Josh Beadenkoof. He was ALSO absolutely incredible. From start to finish, he was a consummate professional. He was knowledgeable and helped me understand how these things work, and how problems build-up over time. Most importantly, he was honest and followed through with the plan set previously. Between these two, I have confidence that the job will get done. And I trust it will be done 100% right.

Stay away. Charged me $450 for 45 minutes of work at which point they stated they couldnt fix it. The gentlemen that did proposals was off over the weekend, so we had to go with a different company to fix the problem. Called Artie and he wouldn't adjust the $450 down even though the tech was here for 1.25 hours less than the 2 hour minimum I paid for and didn't fix the problem. Classic cash grab company. I had another company come out and make the same determination for $85, and finish the work the next day. I understand companies have minimums, but $450 for 45 minutes of work is a bit excessive. I would look elsewhere for service.

Ira was very knowledgeable. I've had other plumbers come for the sane issue that Ira came for and they have not been as Thorough as Ira was and with him being thorough he found the problem. Highly recommend Ira as a technician. I have not worked with Benjamin Franklin company meaning other people other technician other than making the appt which they were able to do same day as emergency service and it was the weekend but other than that I haven't needed to work with customer service as much but Ira was great

Benjamin Franklin Plumbing and Ira Miller were excellent We discovered our water heater had burst on a Saturday morning. Ira was dispatched in short order, took the time to thoroughly explain what had happened, how it would need to be corrected, and presented every available option with established pricing. When it came time to do the work, Ira was methodical and efficient. Very happy with the customer service, and feel confident we made a good choice opting to use Benjamin Franklin Plumbing.

I recently had a great experience with Ira from Benjamin Franklin Plumbing when the handle of my bathtub broke. He responded quickly and was very professional throughout the process. While the price was on the higher side due to the extent of the damage, the quality of the work was worth every cent. He communicated well, explaining each step clearly, and left the bathroom cleaner than he found it. Highly recommended!
