What reviewers report — the concerns
Other directories bury these. We think you should read them before you call. Every concern below comes from the reviews it cites.
Red flag
2 of 5 reviews (40%) document serious failures: one no-show on emergency appointment with multiple broken promises, another billing dispute with alleged unnecessary upsell and unresponsive management.
“$429 for miscellaneous is highway robbery and downright unethical.”
Red flag
Pricing transparency issue: one reviewer was forced to sign estimate form on iPad without prior quote, then charged $429 for service described as 'miscellaneous,' with technician claiming expertise justified the cost despite customer's objection to the work itself.
“$429 for miscellaneous is highway robbery and downright unethical.”
One reviewer charged $429 for a simple flow restrictor cleaning after being told cartridge replacement was necessary, contradicting customer's prior explanation that cartridge wasn't the issue. No manager follow-up occurred after complaint.
“$429 for miscellaneous is highway robbery and downright unethical.”
Scheduling promises not honored: customer given 8 AM–12 PM window, pushed to 1:30 PM–3:30 PM, then plumber still 1+ hour away at 2:30 PM despite emergency designation.
Keep it in proportion: these concerns are cited in 1 of the 5 reviews we analyzed. Most reviewers report positive experiences — see the full rating picture below.

Critical
“Unfortunately, I had a bad expereicne. I called at 730 AM and was told I would have a plumber at my home between 8 AM and 12 PM. Even recceived an email confirmation. I did share with the person who scheduled with me that this was an emergency and she was good with the 8 AM to 12 PM. Around 1030 AM I received a call that said I would be pushed back to to 1230 PM to 330 PM. At 230 PM I called and I was told the …”
“First of all, let me say that on previous occasions, I used BFP , was very happy with the service (Cynthia Northrup was my tech for those calls), and thought that I had found my go-to plumbing company in this area. However, on 12/30/25, I had a service call to check why my fairly new shower had reduced pressure and the water wasn't as hot as it had previously been, and I also wanted to get a water softener. The …”
Positive
“A water pipe off of the main burst. BF sent Aaron Bass to get the job done. Professional, friendly, knowledgeable he made the repair in about an hour and a half, during a thunderstorm and heavy downpour. Afterwards he showed me the pictures of what he did, gave me the parts that had burst, tested the system to ensure everything was in proper working order.”
“Mr. Kyle is very knowledgeable for a young man. He fixed my kitchen sink without any issues. He is the best plumbers I have had the experience of meeting.”
