The work Bob did on our house looked like it belonged in a commercial building--it was that pristine. We could tell Bob really cared about doing quality work, and it showed. If we had any issues (only one small one--wiring) he personally came down to make sure it was corrected. Our heating system is one of the pictures below--against the wall. The best part is obviously the money we've saved. Our heating bill went from $419 every 3 weeks to an average of just over $50 for the month. I've got the bills to prove it if you need a reference.

Called BEI because my water heater's temperature and pressure release valve was leaking. He walked me through, step by step, on how to change the valve myself. Not only was he honest, but he saved me a lot of money.

I manage 2 three family buildings in Worcester. I had very bad luck with one "plumber", I did not check up on him before hiring him and he charged me a lot and did terribly shoddy work. I found out later he was not even licensed! Then I tried BEI Plumbing, run by Bob Bernstein. One of the things immediately apparent is that he does it by the book. He will not do poor, non-code compliant work. He has bailed me out of a few plumbing emergencies and he is a busy man because he does such good work at a reasonable price. Plumbing ain't cheap but Bob fixes it and fixes it right, with his personal guarantee. The work he has done for me was residential but he does big scale and commercial jobs as well. Please note, aside from being a customer I do not have any promotional or commercial ties to BEI Plumbing. I'm just glad to leave a good review for him.

My gas boiler was almost 30 years old so I decided to upgrade through the MassSave program. I contacted BEI Plumbing & Heating and explained my situation to Bob who took the time to walk me through a number of key considerations and provided a set of recommendations. Bob was highly confident he could lower my gas consumption 25-50% by implementing the system he was recommending. I told him I was skeptical because my home was already very energy efficient by installing new windows and insulation over the last few years. However, Bob insisted his new heating system would deliver the cost savings he was quoting. I decided to go ahead with Bob's recommendation and we worked out a plan to install the new system. Bob had to rework the scheduling of the project multiple times to align with the MassSave loan I was receiving. During this time he communicated clearly and often, which is an attribute not found with many other contractors I have worked with. Once the project started, Bob and his team showed up on time, completed all the work quoted, finished the work on time, and the cost was not a penny more than what Bob had quoted. He even helped me with a few other minor items that were not part of the original estimate, at no extra cost. Bob told me he takes personal pride in each system he installs, but I didn't expect the results to look like a work of art when it was finished. My heating system looks better than some of the other areas of my house. Finally, what about the 25-50% savings Bob said he could deliver. Over the first three months with the new system my gas consumption has dropped approximately 42%. Bob delivered on his word! I would recommend Bob and his team to anyone needing help with their heating system. Bob and his team did a fantastic job for me! Please feel free to call me if you need more details. If you want personal care, Bob is the man to turn to. One year ago, Bob replaced our 40 year old oil furnace with a high efficiency gas furnace. This switch saved my family a tremendous amount of money. I only paid 900 dollars for the whole year in gas. Leading up to and during installation, Bob was always available, no question was too small for him. He helped us pick the right system for us and explained all the steps in detail. He and his crew were always on time and on premise when they said they would be to help the transition from oil to gas through Mass Save. Bob's commitment doesn't end there. A few months after installation, Bob called just to check on how the system was working and if there was any questions. I have also contacted Bob about plumbing questions we had for additional work and he is always ready to listen and offer up advice. We love our system, the work done by BEI, and Bob's genuine caring personality. You wont find that with a commercial heating and plumbing contractor.

We could not be happier with Bobby. You will not find a better plumber, because he is just a good honest person who takes his work seriously and does whatever it takes to make the homeowners happy. After having an awful experience with a contractor, my husband did a lot of research to find a good plumber with decent prices. There is a reason BEI has such good reviews. Bobby talked with us extensively about our options for switching to natural gas, and was very helpful and knowledgable. He is also reliable- on the day he was supposed to come switch out the boiler, he had an emergency call, so he actually paid for a week's worth of oil for us to hold us over until he could come. Then he came when he said he was going to, brought two other hard-working guys (one was his son), dealt with suppliers who sent a dented boiler, cleaned up, and explained everything he did. Even my dog likes him. He is definitely our plumber for future jobs.

I recently bought a house in Worcester that had a steam furnace, which I had know idea how it worked. One the furnace stopped working and I called a number of plumbers that were to busy to come out...I had a idea what was wrong but seeing that my past experiences was with oil furnaces not gas I want to make sure I didnt do something wrong. I called BEI and told me to take a picture of the furnace and send it to him when you get home... It was past 5 o'clock when I was able to talk to him, which he wasn't at work at the time. He took the time to go over what to do and what not to do. Even though it was after work hours. I had my heat on in a matter of minutes...thanks!

Bob from BEI is very helpful. Prompt respond for my clogs service with very GOOD price. Helped us thoroughly with all the process and get us our new heating system (Furnace) for fractions of the original cost. Very prompt respond when we calls or texts. They stand by their products and services. I have him on my speed dial for all plumbing and heating needs now. Thanks Bob and his crew for fast and prompt service!!! Just got inspected today. I can't recommend Bob and his team at BEI highly enough. My gas boiler wouldn't start, and it being winter in New England, it was a bad situation that I needed fixed quickly. From my first call with him requesting service, Bob was offering helpful troubleshooting advice. It turned out to be a couple of issues that happened at once, but he quickly identified the problems and worked very hard to keep costs down for both parts and labor while still getting the job done right. Four years ago the Bob did an oil conversion to gas at Congregación Maranatha in Uxbridge, MA In which everything was replace and the benefits are extraordinary.
