Always dependable, altho I've realized they stick to the basic plumbing problems. If you need someone to install a shower system with 6 heads, you'll need to call Young, AND I wish Beckwith would join everyone else in this century and take debit cards, but it's kind of... Nostalgic and I'll keep calling them if my toilet is backing up and I can't/don't have the time to fix it myself.
I had a pin hole leak in a copper pipe. I called and asked for a quote ahead of time and they told me the price would be $85/hr + materials. Two men came to my house and fixed the leak in 30 minutes. I then received a bill in the mail for $120 labor, $5 trip charge, and ~ $30 materials. I don't understand how a 30 minute job at $85/hr translates to a $120 charge, but at the end of the day, the leak did get fixed. I'm not sure I'd use them again due to the lack of price transparency.
Just got robbed by these people. The service person was hardly at our place for 40 mins and yet we are charged 2 hrs of labor at $95/person/hr. I was told the labor hours are counted from the time they start from the shop and go back there after the work. Why should I pay $95/hr for the time the service guy was driving on the road? This is ridiculously expensive and I would not recommend this company to anyone.
Called and asked for a site visit and quote on a fairly significant home remodel including some significant changes and upgrades. No show for the appointment. When I called to ask if and when they were coming they stumbled through the explanation and tried to provide a quote site unseen. And if I needed more precise I would need to make another appointment. No further contact by me as they clearly do not want my business. Now 6 weeks have gone by and I get a statement in the mail showing a $92.50 charge and some finance charge late fees. Wow! And for what - a phone call half-a$$ estimate? As a small business owner myself I find this absurd and disappointing. Mistake or not, based on the no show, phone call, and bs invoice the office is poorly managed and the ownership is either out of touch or somehow has more business than they know what to do with.
Called about a hot water leak in my bathtub. They sent Roger to fix it but it still leaked when he left. Sent me a bill, I paid it. I called again for the same leak a couple of weeks later because it had gotten really bad. They sent another guy and he repaired it, but started back dripping. Slowly at first, so I just left it alone. Now it's just running. I refuse to pay the second bill because they obviously didn't fix the problem, just patched it up, just like the first time. I have called a third time for the same problem. If they are professionals and have been around for a long time, why can't they fix a leaky faucet? Disappointed
