Great service by Alvaro and Team. They installed water softner with RO. Took care of the whole setup with ease and I had a tricky plumbing system, they were able to provide alternate options and completed the work. Really happy with their service!
Anthony came our rescue when we contacted Bay Water Plumbing & Water Systems after receiving an early morning email from ACWD informing us of an unusual continuous flow detected. He spent time checking our meter and trying to detect the leak. He gave us peace of mind after figuring out what was going on with our irrigation system. He was really nice and patient and we highly recommend this company and Anthony and would request their services again.
We had a great experience with Bay Water Plumbing today for our new water heater installation. The team was prompt and professional, and everything was completed smoothly. A special thanks to Tommy, who was very helpful and friendly throughout the process. Highly recommend their services!
Just horrible, technician broke filter of water heater because of which I didn't have hot water for couple of days and when technician arrive with the part he charged for the part. Beware of this company
Really regretted calling these guys. 2 people showed up 1 hour past the end of my window. Once they got here, they visually looked at the shower for a couple minutes, went away, and then offered me a bunch of services and costs to continue to diagnose the problem. I thought the the $69 service charge included diagnosing the problem! Very unhelpful and upsetting. I declined the service they offered because I got a bad feeling. Very scammy. Avoid at all costs.
Recently, our Bradford and White natural gas water heater went out after 17+ years and I needed an immediate replacement of the same brand (I am very happy with B & W). I went to the Bradford and White website and looked for authorized plumbers and then I looked at their ratings. Bay Water shows high ratings but I was very disappointed with most of my experience with them. In the initial phone call, I mentioned that I wanted a specific B&W water heater and they said that they would take care of me. I tried to tell him the model number but he didn't really want to hear that. So, being in a rush with a house full of visitors, I needed fast service and took my chances. Well, the person who installed the water heater seemed to be knowledgeable and did some measuring and then ran back to get the water heater. To be nice, had already helped make the visit shorter by shutting off and draining my water heater. Also, the earthquake straps were already in place do no extra work needed to be done. Well, he did come back with a Bradford and White but an 18" wide one that had a lower recovery rate than the one I wanted. Don't get me wrong, it works great but I would have preferred some kind of explanation of why he decided for me on the 18inch wide one - clearance might have been his answer but I was willing to move anything that he might have deemed in his way. Also, he seemed to be in a hurry and when he was done, I looked at the job and was surprised that he used a 20" drain pan underneath this 18" wide water heater. He didn't explain why he thought that it was okay to leave the job as finished when the outer door near the burner at the bottom of the water heater WOULD NOT FIT within the narrow drain pan. The bottom line: pretty sloppy work for at least $1000 in labor! I will not be using their services in the future. I would suggest that you try to find a one-person professional who takes pride in his work and puts his own name on it. Unfortunately, these folks are hard to find.
Summary: Very unhappy that Bay Water charged me $140 visit which set me down the wrong path, taking a whole week while I tried to chase a faulty shower valve. I ended up getting a second plumber, who diagnosed the issue quickly to be the check valve needing replacement, and had it fixed in an hour. I was having a problem with my water heater, and had a Bay Water technician come by. He pointed out the problem was that the recirculation line was going cold whenever I ran hot water. He told me there was probably a valve in the house which was crossing cold water into the recirculation line, suggesting that it's usually a shower valve that's the problem. I don't know why he didn't offer to come in to locate which valve could be the problem, but he made it sound time consuming, and due to COVID-19 reasons I wasn't ready for him to enter the house anyway. At any rate, I felt confident I could find it myself. He charged $140 for the visit. I spent a week trying to locate the faulty valve, but things proved inconclusive. I ended up calling in a new plumbing service. This next plumber understood right away that my check valve was the problem. He replaced it with a spring one way check valve, and fixed the problem in an hour.
Alvaro is a thorough professional. He came to our house to install a GE Water Softener for a different company. He came on time, did his work quietly and QUICKLY. I asked if he would like to have some water/coffee/food (after all he is not just a guy but also a human being)? He said he got his own coffee and water. Later while he said he would like to keep his stomach a bit empty so that he can get his work done quickly. He even suggested a better place to install the Water softener that way I could save some more space and utilize the dead space for the softener. His work was clean. I did not want the power cable to run horizontal to the switch board. I like things extremely neat. I told him my requirements and he extended the cable the way I wanted it. There is just one thing which he can improve upon. Instead of stapling the power cable to the dry wall directly (which looks ugly), he can use cable concealer, so that its 100% complete job. My father and I did it ourselves once he left. It cost approx 30 bucks not more. Overall extremely satisfied with his work. He also installed the RO system at our place.
5 Stars - Seamless Water Heater Installation from Start to Finish! I couldn't be happier with my new water heater installation! From my initial inquiry, this company stood out due to their incredibly prompt responses and stellar online reviews. Booking an appointment was surprisingly easy; a simple email quickly confirmed a convenient time. Their pricing was completely transparent, with a clear, accurate estimate and absolutely no hidden fees—a huge relief. Communication leading up to the appointment was excellent; they sent a helpful text notification when Alvaro, the co-owner, was on his way. He was also very responsive to any questions I had. Alvaro arrived promptly within the two-hour window provided. He was exceptionally courteous and professional, taking the time to walk me through each step of the installation process. The quality of his work was impeccable; everything was neat and tidy. I especially appreciated that he laid down drop cloths to protect my floors and carpet. He also made sure to clean up thoroughly once the job was done (though I did lend a small hand!).
Great service overall! Tommy was very helpful and was able to resolve all the plumbing issues at our house. If you have questions or need to schedule something, it’s best to call them instead of texting. The only small issue we had was with the appointment window. We were told the technician would arrive between 1 to 3 PM, but he actually arrived around 10:30-ish AM. We did receive a text saying he was already on the way, which we appreciated, but we were out at the time and had to rush back to make sure someone's home when he arrives. That said, no real harm done, everything was fixed earlier than expected, which was great! It would just be a bit more convenient if technicians arrived closer to the agreed time window. Overall, we’re very happy with the service and would definitely reach out to them again if we ever run into plumbing issues in the future!
I had a Rinnai RSC199in Tankless Water heater installed. This was my first tankless install. From the very beginning when I called, and they came out to estimate, through the install, everyone was extremely professional, courteous, knowledgeable, and helpful. They notified me before arrival, arrived on time, and did a wonderful job. Even installed an R-Control Module I provided. So nice, and helpful. I am very impressed with all of the workers that came to my home for Bay Water Plumbing. And their price to install was a great price. It included running the gas line, descaler, and permit. I am extremely pleased and happy with them. I will use them if I ever have any plumbing issue in the future, or need plumbing work done. And will recommend them to others.
Very bad experience. Got a Rinnai water heater installed through them and just in 1 year started facing error code 11 issue. Called them to check. And I was charged a lot just for an initial diagnosis which ended with pointing to PGE gas pressure. Later I got PGE to replace Gas meter and PGE confirmed gas pressure was good and error 11 code was internal to the heater. When I reached out to Bay Water again, I didn't get any response. This time I got another company to visit and check the issue - very different experience as diagnosis was free and they could very quickly identify the issue to be with ignition assembly which Rinnai tech support agreed to replace. I wasted a lot of time and money when faced with real issues with Rinnai water heater.
Our tankless water heater stopped working and made noise. I had to work so my wife called the manufacturer and they gave us a list of plumbers. This outfit is the closest so she called. Plumbing came promptly. It took a total of some 20 minutes to look at it, open and cleaned it and the charge was $440!! Normally when repair is done the service call charge is waived. In this case it was also added. Bill says "Tankless Water Heater Diagnosis Level 4". Clearly the diagnosis was nowhere near a "level 4", whatever it meant, as it took but a few minutes. And the rest took maybe 15 minutes, which consisted of (written on the bill) "cleaned and lubricated venturi with WD40". At least the unit is working now so 2* instead of 1*.
Our water heater's pilot light kept going out, resulting in multiple cold shower experiences, so we chose Bay Water Plumbing to fix it, based on their high Yelp rating. We ultimately decided to replace the water heater instead of repairing it, since it was an older unit anyways. Alvarro gave me a fair replacement offer and was able to install the new unit later on the same day. It's been working great for over a month now and no problems. It's more common to get burned by dishonest plumbers than to find a plumber with good moral integrity. Alvarro and Francisco at Bay Water Plumbing have proven themselves to be a great choice when seeking a plumber you can trust and I'm a happy customer. Thanks guys!
Got a new water heater and have it installed by a plumbing company last week, but noticed there was a leakage yesterday so I called the manufacturer early in the morning to assign a technician to resolve this. Tommy of Bay Water Plumbing came around noon to replace the unit. He did a great job on the work. He was also very patient and helpful while waiting for me to go through the paper works to get the replacement in the retail store. I was also very happy with the company as they responded immediately to my urgent need since leaking water could cause issues to my house if not resolved quickly. Fortunately, they fixed it in a very short period of time.
