Eric was genuine, kind, and made me feel at ease. Sometimes a new person coming to your home can feel awkward but I didn’t feel that way at all. He fixed a part under our kitchen sink and flushed out our hot water heater. He did a great job and I am grateful to him.

They were sent to my house by a home warranty company. I asked if they were vaccinated, and the lead guy said he wasn't, so I asked him to wear a mask. He took a mask I offered and put it over his mouth. When I asked him to cover his nose, he refused. When I said then he'd have to leave my house, he did. Absolutely no concept of what it means to be in a service industry or to be a guest in someone's home.

About a month ago I called Backup Plumbing to get a quote on a sump pump and hosebib replacement. I was able to quickly get on the team’s schedule the same week. The team was very communicative and sent text and call reminders for the appointment. Josh A was the journeyman who showed up and immediately set to work inspecting the sump pump. It was about 10 years old and had been running way too frequently. He immediately knew something was wrong and set to cracking open the pit (sealed for radon mitigation) which was a pain in the butt. He walked me through everything, showing me the running water in the pit and discussing various tiers of replacement such as a battery backup. He then took a look at the hosebib and warned me in advance he’d have to cut drywall for access if I decided to replace it. Kyle talked me through pricing and told me Josh would be able to get everything done same day. This was a Friday so naturally I was surprised. After learning about their Service Plan, which for $12/mo gives you 12% off services on top of other benefits, I immediately said yes. Josh was even able to squeeze in my free water heater flush for the plan. Josh was great. He was very professional, always wearing covers on his shoes, mindful of my family during the time they were home, and he let me know how everything was going the entire time. When he left, he walked me through the repairs and was on his way. One month later, the new pump with the quiet discharge connection works great and sounds healthy and the hose bib has been in use watering our gardens as the weather gets warmer. All in all, I would recommend Backup Plumbing for any plumbing needs, inside and outside the home. I look forward to working with the team again in the future.

One of the plumber's from Durbin came to my house as a contractor for my warranty company on 10/29/2018. The didn't leave a card or even a receipt from where I paid my 75 copay. Fast forward to today 11/2/18 and I called to day to get an update. I was told by Tina that they had to find out who the plumber was and she would call back. Two hours later after I checked my online claim with the warranty company I called Tina back. I was told Mr Durbin would call me in 30 minutes with an update. I have never received one. I called my warranty company and after holding for 30 min while they called Durbin's they fnally come back and say that Durbin's is claiming they cant get to my FLOODING BASEMENT for two more weeks. Why did I wait so long? Because on tuesday I also found out my child needed emergency testing on her kidney's so I thought well they will call and put it on the back burner. I now have a continuous leak into my basement and have to wait for another plumber to find a way to fit me in. That ladies and gentleman is crappy service. And even if they keep this from their website it will be on yelp and google. Edited to add Tina called me and said she had not heard from me in over 10 days so I was moved to her completed file.. The CHECK was dated 10/30/18 so someone also needs some math classes. She also tried to put it off on the warranty company as well.. CLASSY. Yes I hung up on her. Dawn Skaggs

Huh, I could have sworn that I reviewed Durbin Plumbing before, but I must have written it as a draft or some such thing because they do good work and I wouldn't want to overlook them. I have owned an older home for about 8 years. I've had Durbin Plumbing out for various jobs over the years, no repeats of course on their work, but different sections of the house. Water heater install, exactly at quoted price even though it was a more complicated job than expected AND their price was at or less than that of other companies. Replaced a deteriorating T-pipe joint and reconnected everything to it-- hourly rate was fair, work was clean and neat, pipe connections all tight, and they left the old pipe joint for me to see why it went wrong because I like to learn that kind of thing (corroded in on itself after 50-60 years). Replaced washing machine hook-ups that started leaking. I called on a weekend and even though it wasn't an "emergency" thing and I didn't want/need an emergency call-out like one might need for a gushing leak, they were out promptly at the start of the week which was darn near close to right away. Basically, good work at good prices from a company that honors commitments and won't try to up-sell you.

This was our fist experience with Backup Plumbing and it was great! We were in need of a toilet repair and I gave them a call. Everyone one I talked with was wonderful, from the woman that took my call (I wish I could remember her name), to Kyle that handled the appointment details to Eric who ended up doing the work. I called late one afternoon, and was able to set up an appointment for the next day. The communication between the office staff, and the plumber that came to the house was fantastic. When Eric showed up he was quick to access the issue and give me some options. The prices were very reasonable, especially for the quality work that was done. My wife and I decided to just replace the toilet. We are very happy with the work done. Again, this was the first experience with Backup Plumbing, and should we ever have plumbing issues again, rest assured they will be our fist call.

Was referred to this company through our home warranty coverage, the guys came out and diagnosed the problem, needed to order the parts and return later, upon return was told before the work was complete that everything was covered under my warranty, then after work was completed was told I owed the $65 co-pay plus $75 for additional parts that wasn't covered. I called the owner of the company to try and see if his workers was telling me the truth or if they was trying to get money out of me, and he was very rude and hateful and nasty and hung up on me. My husband called and tried talking to the owner about the issue also and he cussed my husband out in the background while his secretary was speaking to my husband and hung up on him also. We have contacted our home warranty provider and told them they do not want to use this company for their work orders.

These people are unreal, signed up with a Home Warranty Company, accepted a claim on Monday morning and I finally called them on Wednesday afternoon since there had been no attempt to contact me and the woman who answered tells me oops, we accepted it by mistake, we aren't licensed in Indiana. Told me she didn't know how to reach them and I should just call them myself. Clearly no attempt to contact the home warranty company since their number is listed, they answer the phone and she sure as heck figured out how to sign up with them. Nevermind she easily coud have called me Monday and told me they couldn't come out. Meanwhile I have a leak in my basement that's gotten worse and I have to leave to town for the weekend in the morning.

They were professional and kind. Eric and Codie were excellent! They showed up on time, answered any questions and worked hard. 1-19-2026 I needed Backup Plumbing to come back and work on a shower drain pipe. Again, Eric and Codie came to fix it. They did great work again and very professional. They answer any questions and always keep me well informed. Can't say enough kind words! Thank You Backup Plumbing! 2-2-2026 Once again, Backup Plumbing did a great job setting bath faucets and toilet! and they followed up the next day for a few finishing touches. Doug, Tina, and Josh were awesome to work with. I needed a new water heater, and they went above and beyond to file on my behalf. They even saved me money as they knew it was covered under warranty, drove a great distance to pick up and deliver the replacement water heater and ensure that everything was fixed, replaced and cleaned up after! I can't recommend them enough. And for those asking, I do have a home warranty and they went the extra mile there too to keep me and the home warranty company informed of the water heater's warranty status. Highly recommend

They are the worst company I have dealt with in over 35 years of home ownership. Doug and his sidekick came to my house to fix a backed up sewage drain. Left after ten minutes to go "investigate" saying it might be a city issue. Guy never came back! Never called! I had to call their office to be told that they couldn't do the job. When I told her that was very unprofessional and that I had been waiting two hours for them she told me it was probably because I was rude and hung up on me. Really! My fault. Be warned,NEVER call Durbin Plumbing. Can't give no stars!

First experience needing a plumbing service and couldn’t have asked for better service! From Laura in the office to Kyle communicating and giving quote to Cameron coming to fix the issue, all were great! What was thought to be a simple issue turned into a little more and Cameron was determined to not leave until fixed. The icing on the cake, Kyle did not charge anything additional for what took longer. The quote he gave for the work was not changed regardless of what came up. Absolutely incredible customer service and will be my go-to when needed again.
