Had area plumbing out for a water service line break. Scott and Peter showed up with a crew and took care of the job. They were very professional and job was done in a timely manner. I will be using them for all of my future plumbing needs that is for sure

My main sewer line was clogged, I called Area Plumbing and I got very fast service. Would highly recommend and will definitely call them again if any other plumbing issues pop up.

I had Area Plumbing & Sewer Company out this morning. Joe called me to let me know they were on their way. I needed my sewer line rodded out. They were quick and efficient and got the job done in a timely manner. It was the first time using Area plumbing and will definitely call Joe if I run into plumbing problems in the future. Joe and Alex were very courteous. Thank you to them. Now I can do laundry and dishes without my sink backing up. Thanks again for a great job!!!

Had appt, no call no show. Had to call them and they said they were backed up, ok things happen its understandable, but we'd have to wait another 4 more days. If they would of at least called I wouldn't be writing this review!

Waited for them to come and after the 3 hour window, no one came or called. So I called and asked what was going on and I was told they got backed up and couldn't come for 4 more days. Ok so I understand things happen, but no call, unprofessional!

I would like to say that this company did an amazing job shout out to the team coming to our rescue! About 2 weeks ago there was a gas leak identified in our home that could have been very dangerous to us and our grandchildren. My husband and I contact the NIPSCO immediately about smelling gas, we were informed that they will have to shut the gas off until we fix the problem. Unbeknownst to us this problem must have been here before we purchased our home here in Hammond. Well the first thing we did was contacted HWA which is our homeowner warranty. Once we contacted them they then place the work order for technician to come to our home on October 10th. Upon the technician arriving that week we were informed that this job was beyond his scope and he needed to give the information back to HWA so they can reassign the job. HWA reassigned the job the tech came to our home a week and a half later, informed us that we can pay the $100 service fee and he will come out the next day to repair the job. Well we did that I confirmed the appointment. The next morning the technician informed me that our claim had been closed by HWA and they will need to reopen the claim. The technician nor myself did not understand why. Well the technician would not return our money based upon the services being performed. Nevertheless we contacted. HWA and surprisingly to us they refuse to do anything I asked to speak to a supervisor I spoke to three to rectify the matter and to try to regain or recoup our funds from the tech that never came back and they refuse to do anything we were told by them that also because we have selected a different company we should have gotten an approval to select them and to do the reimbursement so as of right now we're out of $350 that we did not have ! Well Hedi my husband and I would like to say that area plumbing company went above and beyond the call of duty and helping us get our heat on the gas leak taken care of in a timely efficient and safe matter! This company had much compassion on our family during these winter months, although we did not have all the funds you guys work with us, trusted us to pay the remaining balance later. We would like to give our personal thanks. We will definitely refer your company and if we ever needed services we will use you all again. Thank God you all had a heart to help and to just get it done considering our circumstances may God bless you all greatly thanks Wayne and Alice.

About two weeks ago, area plumbing sent a guy out to repair a drainage problem from the bathtub in the apartment that I rent out. They gave me a written quote for $225. They needed to access the business on the first floor. The plumber told me he could not get in the door. Apparently, he was trying to get in, the wrong door. The business was open, but he wound up leaving anyway. The next day, a different plumber from the same company came out. He went into the business on the first floor and rodded out the area. Then, additionally, he fixed the faucet in the bathtub. The bill went from $225- to $850.00. I told the lady who called for my credit card that this was outrageous. However, she insisted on my information which I reluctantly gave her. Then, I called the company and left a voicemail message to speak to the owner however, nobody ever called me back. I am willing to pay, a little more because of the extra work they did but not $850.00. I also would love to know why nobody has tried to call me back to discuss this. I think this is very bad business. I own other properties and I have used Area Plumbing in the past. I think that the second Plumber was dishonest and overcharged me. All consumers who live in the HAMMOND area should be aware of this. I would not use this company again because they are not honest even when they give a written estimate. I would appreciate a phone call and a partial refund . That would be the right thing to do. 8/30/24. Although two weeks ago, I was promised a refund that was also a lie. I never received a check or refund as Area (Plumbing) promised. Stay away from these folks.

I made an appointment for a tech to come out to give me an estimate and to meet me a little after 1 pm on a weekday, so I can run home from work for lunch to meet them. I sat at home until 1:25 pm and they were a no show. So I decided to call to find out if they were almost on their way and then the office person said, "no he wont be there until later...about an hour or so because he has a bunch of other things to do". Unbelievable! Also, I had called the office that morning to ask for confirmation of the appointment and they said yes all is still on. So now after reading a bunch of negative comments it leads me to believe this is a sloppy company, just winging it. lol. I cancelled the appointment permanently. I don't think this is a company I would want to hire for a job at all. SMH!

We hired Area Plumbing to fix a drainage problem with our kitchen sink because it wasn't draining properly and water was backing up into our dishwasher. We also needed a toilet to be repaired because it wasnt filling. They called the morning of the appointment to confirm and Joe and Kyle showed up on time. Joe fixed the toilet and and rotor rooted the kitchen sink twice to make sure it was clear. He was knowledgeable and personable. The price was lower than expected and he even took off some $ for the toilet because my husband had already purchased the part. We would definitely recommend this company based on the quality of work for a very reasonable price.

Terrible company. I also wrote a Google review and the company responded to me that they would make it right if I was to call them. So I called them and they were reluctant to do anything for me. Finally, the woman who I spoke to every time, said they would send a check out to me in tomorrow's Mail. A small refund of $100. It's been two weeks now and I have never received anything from them. This company gave me an estimate and charged me more than double to make the repair. The first plumber that came out was very reasonable. The second one ripped me off. Careful when you use this company. They are unreliable and they lie to their customers.

We had a major back up with our Main Line, the pipe had collapsed, it was old clay tile. We first hired another company “Roto Rooter”, they were absolutely terrible, and deceptive, left us with a complete mess to fix and put back together, not to mention they didn’t fix anything. We called Area Plumbing and Scott showed up and saved the day. He was extremely efficient diagnosing the issue, gave us an extremely fair price and didn’t mess around at all. They fixed our Main promptly, and got us finally back in our home with no delays! We definitely recommend Area Plumbing for your project if you just want it done right, the first time!

Worst service ever!! The plumber who came out was very nonchalant and irritated. They got their rode stuck in my pipe and the older guy left to sit in the car and didnt say anything. The other guy looked apologetic but didnt have much to say but we will email you our quote.I called them back asking if they could just come and get there rode out. The lady who answer the phone yelled at me saying it was our fault and said they would call me back when they had time. After calling several times I never got a call back. I had to call another plumbing company who said I should sue them. Please dont waste your time!!

Grossly overcharged for rodding of a bathroom vanity sink & replacement of kitchen gasket. Crew didn't listen to complaints that the kitchen sink was leaking from strainer/gasket area. Crew dismanteled all piping under sink & rodded pipes under sink for over 30 minutes. There was never a blockage in kitchen pipes & no water was produced from the rodding. Crew purchased 1 gasket but had a bill of over $200.00 for parts they alleged were purchased for the job. This was an outright rip off. Crew grossly overcharged us as if we didn't see the deceitful manner in which the plumbing issue was repaired.

Area plumbing went above and beyond to help fix our plumbing issues. The previous owner shoved construction material down the bath tub sink and bathroom sink and they pulled all the stops out to get it all unclogged and fixed. We also needed a hug pipe for the sewer line replaced and they were so professional and clean while replacing it. They were in and out quickly no problems! Everything works great I would recommend this company to everyone I know! Affordable, quick, reliable, and so great to work with. They will be the only plumbing company we use moving forward.

We needed a new sewer line run and are 240 feet from the nearest main line and had to go through a neighbor's property to get to the main. We are very happy with their work, everything was done up to code and fully permitted. We haven't had a single problem. They gave us a reasonably priced quote and stuck to it. Very solid work product, great time table, and they came back this spring to landscape and seed. They've been very responsive, friendly, and accomodating. Highly recommend and would definitely use their services again in the future should we need them.
