Austin and Vin came out to do a big job. This company hires some great guys! They were thorough, attentive, explained the entire project to me and my wife and waht to expect, and stayed longer to give us the comfort it was all tested and multiple checks. Gave us some maintenance tips for other areas so we can avoid big problems in the future. Overall great guys, great work.
Great technician. Fast response time and excellent customer service. I spoke with Marlo and she was extremely helpful, friendly and made a difficult situation easy. I'll definitely be using Apex plumbing again. Awesome teamwork!
I had two different plumbers come out to fix my toilet, and each time it broke again within a day. Jason calci came out, immediately said he thought something was stuck and that it was a seal—and he was absolutely right. Worth every penny. He was friendly, professional, and finally fixed the problem for good. I’m so grateful!
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR PROJECTS OR LET THEM NEAR YOUR ELDERY PARENTS. My mother signed a contract with Apex on 5/2/2025 (It is now Sept) to remodel her shower after a large surgery. Apex has screwed up the remodel multiple times, adding a step for a roll in shower, forgot to put a pipe in after the tile was done and had to redo it. They have left trash all around her house for months. The job is still not complete and she still can not use the shower due to no grab bars installed. I called and spoke to David and he assured me that he would send someone out right away to install a new shower head, pick up the trash and see what needs to be done. He sent a crew out that told my mom they don't do any of that and left. They were supposed to show this week, no call no show. I called multiple times and was ignored by Mike whom was supposed to call me back. Shower still not complete, no contact from the company. Apex should stick to plumbing, they are terrible with project management and follow up.
Two clogged drains in the master suite cost me $285. I called Monday and they got there the next day at exactly 1pm. Lady on the phone said the plumber/tech would call before arrival. He didn't; when I told him this he apologized for that failure. So I showed him what needed doing and that was that. After cleaning out the p traps, taking apart the pipes etc. we once again have appropriate drainage. I also told him that one of the two sinks had lower water pressure than the other. So he tried to sell me a new faucet; I told him emphatically NOT. He showed me the amount of black gunk on the spigot and said I needed a new faucet. Well I have news: we put both faucets in at the same time and they receive water from the same intake. Guess what? I took a piece of paper towel and really cleaned the gunk off the aerator. Voila: water pressure increased! He then tried to sell me a new faucet for the guest bath, in which the cold water drips but not the hot. Turns out that it's just a bad cartridge in the cold water valve. Again: no sale. He spoke to his boss "Joe," who quoted a price of $385. I'll just keep the cold water turned off so the spout doesn't drip. The tech I found a little too friendly. "You married? How long you been here? How many years you married?" Hey: I want my plumbing fixed, not a new Facebook friend. I get that they're supposed to be polite, friendly, etc. I also don't care to share my story with everyone I meet, either. Only reason I picked this outfit was that I couldn't remember the name of the last plumber I used. Well, guess what? I looked far enough back in my Yelp reviews and found out who they were/are: it was Scotto's Plmbing. Now the second "guess what?" I know who I'll be calling again NEXT time I need a plumber. Hint: it won't be Apex!
Premium Plumbing had come highly recommended from a family/friend, selecting this company over four other cheaper plumbers. I contracted them in Dec 2025, then didn't get started until late March 2026, finishing mid-April 2026. What was estimated as a 3-day project, turned into a 4-month nightmare. The horrible communications, terrible customer service and their quality management practices are non-existent. What they had in abundance of was excuses. Shifting the blame onto everyone, accepting themselves. They used a subcontractor (Apex Plumbing), who was just as bad as the parent company. A major red flag that I ignored was the subdivision of their company, which denotes their "grab the money and run" tactic to avoid liability and accountability, if & when they are sued. Although I expected some damage to the backyard and minor delays (city permits). I didn't imagine, nor was I informed that my front yard would also be destroyed due to their poor planning & incompetence. Despite my patience, tolerance, and civility, which were all taken for granted, by these dishonorable, callous, and unprofessional people who were only interested in fleecing the limited money from a disabled USMC veteran caregiver on a fix income in a bad economy. The sad reality is, had I gone with any of the 4 other companies, not only would they have finished faster. But I would have gotten the same quality of work for a fraction of the cost. In the end, because of the inconvenience, bad service, damage, disrespect, and many delays, etc..., Just a few of the many problems experienced, in addition to the 4-month delay, was installing the wrong septic tank. I ordered and was paying for a 1530-gallon tank, but they were going to install a 900 gallon. I got this unethical switch before it was too late. But that then delayed the job another day, on top of the delay because they took Monday off. Then they failed to provide me with the permits, & breaking my concrete patio floor in the backyard, again because of their poor planning. Then they were going to leave the job, with an obvious crater (from where the septic tank/drainage field) in the backyard because they had started late in the day and didn't want to keep returning to properly cover the ground with the dirt that was extracted from the backyard but was relocated to the front. To get anything done properly was like pulling teeth. Don't get me started on their countless lies and false promises. And I am leaving out all of the minor problems. Premium Plumbing only gave me a $500 discount for my troubles out of a $25k bill. If they had only worked as quickly in the service I hired them for as quickly as they issued the bill, then I at least would have been satisfied. But as it is, I am only very disappointed with what this company did and failed to do. In conclusion, I didn't get my money's worth from this truly disgusting immoral and godless company that I warn everyone to stay away from. Don't let what happen to me, happen to you--pick ANYONE but them or their subcontract Apex Plumbing. They cannot be trusted and their word, like work, is worthless.
Mother and I are senior citizens. A week ago I contacted APEX Plumbing to fix a clogged bathroom sink and toilet. I know we need cast iron pipe replacement. Had a different Plumbing company come out to give me quote and even did a complimentary camera job. I viewed it and realized we need a new cast iron pipe replacement. That company was quite high, though, in pricing for anything and so I naively believed BBB and Angie's list and went with APEX. Anyway, long story short, the plumber from APEX, misled us into believing the sink drain was cleared. He couldn't find anything wrong with the toilet, he said. He did more investigating around the premises. I kept asking how much this was going to cost and he replied, "Don't worry about it." (Have footage on live camera). Then, when he was done, he told us it would be $325.00. He produced a tablet, stating that is where I needed to sign giving APEX permission to take my credit card.He said we'd receive an e-receipt along with other quotes and he was headed to his truck and would send it while parked there. After not receiving anything, I called his office and had to wait the next day. To our astonishment, the plumber had written very inaccurate assessment of things and even stated I agreed to a camera to check the pipe out. I made it clear we didn't need that.It turns out that he made my signature appear as if I agreed with his false quote which I never saw until a day later. Yesterday, a plumber representing APEX PLUMBING, surprised us by showing up. I was at work and saw on my live camera the guy preparing to do some work.Unannounced and without permission. Mother tried to tell him NO but he seemed to ignore her until he heard my voice on the camera and made him LEAVE. I was unsuccessful in fully communicating with his general manager, Frank. Had a hard time getting a working email from his office...I hear crickets ..I sent them an ULTIMATUM. And we want our $325 back as the sink is still clogged as is the toilet. APEX PLUMBING are SCAM artists trying to take advantage of the elderly. Mother is very disabled and half blind.SHAME, SHAME, SHAME ON APEX PLUMBING!!!! THE STATE ATTORNEYS OFFICE WILL BE NOTIFIED!!!!
If you are looking for a quality plumbing company than don’t look any further than APEX! We had just finished renovating our home after Hurricane Helene, when we finally got to move in, we started having plumbing backup issues. These issues were being caused by our scaled cast iron pipes that were installed in 1968. We had Devin from Garrett Plumbing (part of APEX) come out to take a look and they did a video scope of the pipes which showed that they were in terrible shape and needed to be replaced. We just finished the renovation and did not want to tear up the house again. Two solutions were presented to us that would alleviate the need to demo our newly refurbished home. We chose the trenchless pipelining for the main sections of pipe and then an epoxy spray for the smaller sections. This was a huge project which lasted over a week, but the two guys that APEX sent to do the job were amazing! Vinny and Eric did an outstanding job from Day 1 explaining what they were doing and regularly updating us on their progress. We also received daily calls from Carter at the APEX office informing us of the status and next steps. Vinny and Eric tackled any and all challenges that our job presented them and also received some help from their supervisor Jimmy to ensure that everything went smoothly. We were also very thankful that Vinny and Eric worked however long they needed to get to a point that they could resume our plumbing needs each and every day. It was a big undertaking, but we are glad that we used APEX Plumbing to get it done. The whole team at APEX is amazing on the front line and also all of the office support with Carter, David, Mellisa, and Melanie who worked with me to process the Pinellas County Private Sewer Lateral Rebate. Highly recommend!
We live in an older house in West Tampa. After pretty much a total remodel of both bathrooms and the kitchen, we experienced a homeowners nightmare...a plumber was doing periodic maintenance on our cast iron infrastructure when a pipe broke. After analyzing solutions with them, which included knocking out walls in both bathrooms, the owner handed us off to APEX. Joe and Mike came over to the house and examined what we had & took pictures. After running cameras through everything, they developed a hybrid solution that involved undermining accessible pipes and replacing with minimal intrusion as well as refurbishing and epoxy coating the remaining small segments of cast iron that would remain. Joe sat down at our dining room table and mapped it all out; showing us video of each problem point as well as what was salvageable & gave us a price. We signed off on it. With much apprehension on our part knowing our home was about to be dissected, Elliot and John arrived to start work. They were prompt, respectful, & empathetic to our dilemna. They were also insistent about putting protective paper down everywhere they worked to protect the flooring. At the end of the day, they swept, vacuumed, and mopped any debris that was remaining. This was the standard throughout the entire engagement. Their workmanship and attention to detail was spot on. All of Joe's guys were phenomenal. John, Elliot, Matt; I cannot remember all their names, were consummate professionals of the highest degree. I would not hesitate to recommend APEX Plumbing.
My situation was a little unique - it wasn't a straightforward job, and I really needed someone to come and advise me on how to resolve my situation. This job required moving an exterior sewer line away from the house. I searched for a company that focused on that specialty. APEX did not disappoint. The first thing I loved was someone actually answered the phone. The second thing I loved is that I was able to get an appointment within 24 hours of my call. The third thing I loved is they showed up when they were supposed to. I had a quote within 30 minutes which I accepted. Much to my surprise, the guys said – we just need to go get a few parts, but we can do this job today if you want us to. Whaaat? Who does that? Apex does that’s who. These guys were super polite, explained everything they were going to do, how and why. They even presented me two solutions and the second solution they suggested installing a check valve / back flow solution, something I had already contemplated but forget to ask them about. I have worked with probably 5-6 different plumbers over the years but in my mind, APEX exceeded my expectations. I usually try and get multiple estimates, but I felt the estimate was reasonable, the timing was definitely a plus and the representatives of the company (two gentleman – didn’t get their names) really just made me feel very comfortable. I don't believe I would have gotten that type of service anywhere else. The decision was easy for me. Hopefully this review will make it easy for you.
Apex claims to be part of Garrett plumbing but they are NOT. They might have the same manager but NOT the same company. Garrett was able to take care of my needs but I was only off on Saturday so I reluctantly I scheduled an appointment with "their sister company Apex" after being assured that they were the same. I just had the professionals with Garrett from Garrett a few weeks before where he was able to navigate the unit without me being there. Fast forward to the sister company today - called to say they were there, told person about the job with exact instructions, gets worse, company called back since an hour went by, told that plumber was here but informed that he was NOT. When you have zero confidence in a plumber who then takes pictures to call the boss to ask instructions- I am done. And then really has no idea and pulls some crazy quote when the YouTube video shows step-by-step in less than an hour to install a folite dishwasher, sink combo (with a garbage disposal - which I am not using) so even less time - but I assume they didn't want to do it. I am furious that I have to put this off due to their incompetence. This is NOT the 5-star Garrett Plumbing used for years!!!!!
Apex Plumbing came out to re-pipe my entire home. Joe (the owner) walked me through the different materials that he could use and the different options he could offer me for further reducing cost (he was already very fair). He was willing to work with me to secure 12 month 0% financing, something not many companies are willing or able to do. That is HUGE! He also took the time to explain the entire process start to finish, so that I had clear expectations and wouldn't be surprised. It was obvious from the interaction that Joe cares about his clients. Additionally, his employees were courteous and professional, and they do excellent work. I believe that Apex employees are treated well and are happy, and that translates into better work and better experiences for customers. Apex Plumbing does business the right way. I highly recommend them for small or large plumbing jobs. It's tough to find a trustworthy company in the plumbing space, so when you find one it's great to spread the word. Oh and they give a 7 year warranty on all the work.
Overall, everyone I worked with was exceptional. My 6pm initial call was taken with care and I had a plumber on the phone within minutes. Zack spoke with me about the repair and was onsite by 8pm. I was without water because of the problems in replacing my shower handle, and they got me back up and running with water that night. He had to have a team come out the next morning due to some missing pieces, and he wanted to ensure that a high standard was delivered. The team the next morning was just as courteous and professional in completing the last pieces. At the end of the project, everything was completed with quality that leaves me with confidence. I will be using Apex for future needs because of this experience.
Our toilets in our home weren't flushing , and we kept calling different companies to snake the pipes but unfortunately the problem just kept coming back . We called apex plumbing and was able to figure out our pipes were severely calcified and in order for the problem to stop happening we needed to replace the pipes. Edwin installed a new access since our original one was on the roof and he did an awesome job considering the fact he had to go through concrete ( which Edwin did lay new concrete when he was done putting the access in which I was surprised) they are also reasonable in price and reliable ! Highly recommend!
I asked for an estimate on repairs - I was told for 2 weeks the estimate would be in my email -- here it is 3 weeks later no estimate -- after several phone calls to the company-every time I called I was promised the estimate would be in my -email still no estimate 3 weeks later. They always have some excuse , what is wrong with this company ? they can t send a simple estimate to my e mail after telling me over and again "we will get your estimate to your r email asap " never happened !! Not a reliable company ! poor business practice and very deceiving WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY !
