Good afternoon the technician Mathew Muthard did some work on my house he was very very informative he had a nice attitude very professional. I recommend him to everyone. he explained everything so well. GOOD WORK Mathew my husband and I are happy we experienced some good work in Allentown.
Aaron provided phenomenal service. He determined what the issued is and was very gracious answering my questions. I do like to learn and some people might get annoyed with the questions, but not so today. Thank you to both Aaron and Andreas for being there for me in an emergency. I do have peace of mind knowing I can contact you at any time. Everyone is very friendly!
I cannot recommend this plumbing team highly enough! Ethan and Matt came out to my home to handle a leak and the entire experience was seamless from start to finish. They both were incredibly kind and courteous. Instead of just diving in without a word, they took the time to properly diagnose the problem and most importantly explained the "why" behind the issue in a way that actually made sense. It’s much appreciated to have a team who that was transparent and willing to teach me. They set very clear expectations regarding the timeline and the cost before they started any work. They offered practical, effective solutions and didn't try to upsell me on things I didn't need. They were polite, respectful of my home, and maintained total transparency throughout the entire process. Ethan and Matt were able to fix the problem efficiently. The combination of professionalism, politeness, and transparency is all you could ask for when something is broken and you are stressed. Highly recommend!
This review is about awareness to future customers. This is about weighing out quality of work vs cost. Andreas provides very good customer service and their technicians are well trained, courteous, knowledgeable and respectful when they come to your home. I have been with this company for years now and have endured their "job pricing" as it is known in the industry. This is where it does not matter the cost of a part and the time spent. There is a fixed price for the job being performed. On my recent service call in November, I looked up the part that was being replaced; less than 100.00 which I confirmed with a family member in the business who lives out of state. The diagnosis and time to install, under 2 hrs. My bill was over 1000.00! That bill should have been no more than 1/2 that amount or less. Yes, I am grateful the repair was made and professionally done. Yes, I understand business and overhead but I am not grateful that I am in a lower income area and being gouged. They need to rethink their pricing and how they treat their local people who have supported them; remember where you come from! There are other reputable companies in the area who do good work at fair prices who I will now support.
4 years ago I needed a new heat furnace and AC. paid over $15,000. Heat has never worked since installed. every single winter they come out and give me a different reason. Including: the thermostat wasn't right x3 until i bought a $700 one from them, still didn't work ! The wind blows too hard against my house for which they cut a hole in the side of my house, and last year... water got where it shouldn't have. So here I am winter number 4 freezing with no heat. when I called them Sunday AM they told me someone would call me back Monday. It was 8 degrees outside this morning. And I pay the monthly subscription fee that is supposed to get me priority scheduling and some sort of yearly checks on eqpt. I've never gotten anything out of the fee I paid. Stay away from these scammers. I'm out $15,000 and freezing in a snowstorm. If I owned this place I would be utterly embarrassed.
March 19, 2026. Replace Water Heater Ryan and Tanner arrived at the predicted time. Introduced themselves and explained the process in layman terms. Their work was meticulous throughout the process. Photos were shown after job was completed. I have been a customer since 2022. Every technician that has been here has been respectful, friendly and professional. This includes all office personnel. Sorry I don’t remember all their names. Lastly, I like that the same person if at all possible is scheduled. It develops a personal connection with them and the company. A 5 star review from a very satisfied customer. June 2, 2025 Alex provided my yearly maintenance on my HVAC for the summer. Very personable and friendly young man. After he completed the inspection he explained what he did, set my thermostat for A/C due to warmer temperatures this week. Also checked my filter which was clean. Alex is an asset to your family. A 5+ rating May 20, 2025 Dean arrived to install an outside facet. Dean explains everything he’s going to do in a simple and educational way. After the install I ask him to show me how to winterize the facet. He was very patient while I wrote every detail down for my file. Dean deserves a 10 star and an asset to your outstanding company for customer satisfaction. Thanks Dean! May 14, 2025 Dean provided my annual plumbing evaluation. I inquired about installing an outside facet. He explained in explicit detail the feasibility. I also requested an option regarding the replacement of the water heater which he quoted two different prices depending on gallons. Each option is highlighted in a different color for easy access. Dean is an expert in my opinion! February 26, 2025 Craig arrived to check an issue that I was experiencing with my HVAC. He was very polite, personable and knowledgeable. He listened as I explained my issue and answered all my questions. He explained in layman terms as to how the system works during very cold temperatures. Thank you for employing a caring friendly staff. A 10 for sure. February 21, 2025 I Cassidie (not sure of spelling) regarding an issue with my HVAC. We developed a plan for her to contact me on Monday the 24th . She followed through and an appointment for Craig to come out on Wednesday. She is a real asset to the company with her friendly demeanor. Thanks and I give her a 10. Michael gave my HVAC unit a top notch inspection as always. Kudos to all employees. Another 10! Ryan was here to check a water leak under my mobile home. He determined the problem, explained in detail what he had to do. After completing job he again explained what he did. Gave me some tips for the future in the hopes of not having the same issues. Very knowledgeable and personable. Your company is top notch in my opinion! All of your employees are amazing! Ethan was here to inspect the sewage clean out. A very knowledgable young man and courteous. He’s an asset to an excellent company. A 10 rating! Mike provided an SPP A/C inspection. He was very personable and thorough. Mike explained everything he did. I had a question regarding the heat pump operation during frigid temperatures. He explained the EMHeat function on the thermostat and had it working for me. I rate Mike a 10! The service provided by Dean was a yearly "wellness" check on all plumbing. Dean was friendly, knowledgeable and answered all of my questions. I give Dean a 5+ star.
***Don't use this company, they're in it for the money not the service*** I had a 19 year oil weil mclain boiler with a water heater both in good condition (the boiler more than my water heater). Got swindled to spending 21k on getting a new wall hung propane boiler system when I got an oil delivery that had water in it. Alex, the tech, said he's never seen anything like that but when I google what milky oil is and talked to a few guys I knew, they said it's rare but it happens, just pump the tank and put new in or if the tank is old (19 years, just replace the tank and get new oil). Instead of telling me that I could just get my tank pumped and removed and spend probably a fraction of what a new system is, he said he could replace the filter and element but won't solve the issue or call his salesman for a new system. At the time I didn't know much about this and trusted you guys so got the salesman out. Steve seems like a nice dude but just pressured me into getting a new system...again, not mentioning that I could get a new tank and new oil for a fraction of a new system, ride it out for the next 5-10 years or at least just plan on getting all new in the next couple years, but he insists on selling me on the new system. He even gave me a bit of attitude when he initially quoted 19k but found out theres a second zone and said to me "you didn't tell me there's 2 zones".....very professional. New system is in, installers were pretty cool and did a fairly good job from what I saw. Some small things I could pick out but I was once a service technician in the industrial industry so, I let stuff most stuff slide. I'll probably ride you guys out for a year or 2 with inspections then move on to someone else. If you would've mentioned the tank replacement I would've have done that and then also been locked in for a system replacement in a few years. Truly hope you guys get your ethics together. Update: Nathan called me a day or two after this review wanting to smooth things over. He said he would call me back and we can discuss how to move forward. He called me on Monday after 5pm and I didn't feel like answering...I'm a t10 Spinal Cord Injury resulting in paraplegia, I'm usually spent after working. I called the office the following day early afternoon and left a message with Kaitlyn, called his cell phone the day after...rang a few times then got sent to voicemail...no text, no call back...nothing. I guess this is how you treat customers that have spent somewhere around $50k with you in the past 3-4 years. You should be ashamed of yourself to be in the Service Industry. I get it that you have to make money but blatantly screwing over people and not even following up and owning the mistake is just sad. Especially doing that to a disabled person....God bless you.
I hesitated in writing this review as I do not like to talk bad about any local business however, I sincerely hope something can be learned from my experience. First I would say the customer service over the phone was excellent and they had a technician out to my place with in a day. Unfortunately when the repair tech arrived I could immediately tell he was not listening to me and the specific issues I was experiencing with my furnace. My furnace was currently working but the issue I had was significantly reduced hot water pressure and faulty shut off valves. The tech immediately said there was nothing he could do to fix the coil and it would need to be replaced. Initially he stated the replacement domestic coil would be $3500. The tech proceeded to do his investigation in which he continually reminded me how my boiler was old, past the expected life span. After continually pointing out all the problems and component issues he saw, the inspection was complete. I owed him $130 for just showing up to look at things. The quote somehow jumped to $5,000 for a coil replacement and $12,000 for a compete repair! I said could not see spending that much for a repair. They then had the salesman out to quote me on a new unit. The salesman seemed nice initially, and gave me options for a replacement furnace. The quoted replacement boiler would range anywhere from $18,000 - $26,000! After quoting the new unit, the salesman conveniently mentioned had a cancelation in my area where someone was "sick" and if I could purchase the new system right now he could come down a few thousand off the original quoted price. I really felt like this was a deceptive sales technique not an opportunity. I advised I would need some time to think about everything. The salesman proceeded to text with in a few hours of leaving and then again the next day. This whole experience did not sit well with me at all and I decided to get a second opinion. Needless to say I found another repair person to correct all my issues for under $800. I would really hate to think they are out to take advantage of people who need help, but that's exactly how it all came across. They could have simply said they did not want to work on my system instead of quoting a $5000 repair. I hope others reading the reviews for Andrea's Plumbing and Heating take this into consideration that they seem to be deceptive in their repairs and sales techniques. After reading some other reviews it seems like am not the only one who had a similar experience with this company.
I just learned that I have been getting ripped off by this place for the past few years. When I moved to PA fro NY I needed an HVAC company to service my furnace. Like a fool, I went with the one I saw the most advertising for. Well, this week one of my wife's new friends, who happens to be married to an HVAC guy, who has run a business in this area for almost 25 years, basically told me I have been getting ripped off. So I met with her husband and he went over the last few repairs/part replacement bills that I paid Andreas for and boy was I surprised. A few weeks ago they were here and told me I should really replace two parts or my furnace could stop working. I believe in preventative maintenance so I had them replace the parts. Well, over $700 and only 15 minutes later the parts were replaced. My new guy pulled up the parts online and showed me that they can be purchased for under $25 total and showed me that his charges would have been in line with most guys the area and it was only about $250. We then went over some of the other past bills I have paid and realized I have wasted almost $2000. I feel like a fool. This place prides itself on courteous, on time service, which is great. But they don't tell you that as soon as you let them into your house they become predators who will try to scare you into replacing things that really don't need to be replaced and overcharge you in the process. He brought up a couple of good points. Ask yourself why this company has such high turnover with their employees, who is paying for all of the advertising they do and who is paying for all of the new trucks you see running around the area. The customers are paying and these young guys who work for them can't handle the high pressure sales they have to con their customers into. Buyer beware!
I have had Andreas plumbing for a number of years. Customer service was great. Technicians seemed to have knowledge of each problem we have ever had. Had complete faith in them in the past however................... requested an estimate for a plumbing problem to replace an unit. Their quote I thought was exorbitant. Their estimates are non itemized. ( Cost of unit, installation fee etc.) With technology today, you can go online and see the cost frame of heaters, AC etc. Please do your homework prior to committing to them! Had three other estimates from other plumbing companies come in. I am comparing apples to apples here! The estimates with installation from the outside plumbing companies were THREE THOUSAND DOLLARS LESS!!! .......ALL THREE!!!! I was astonished and so disappointed in a company that I felt very comfortable with! Beware!!!! Overcharging me on the unit (when I demanded what the cost was going to be for me and charging me one thousand dollars an hour for installation. The other three plumbers explained that it was a three to four hour job max. Criminal quote! I personally asked the representative when he called me if three thousand dollars was the cost for installation. With a pause he said yes!!! Right from the horse's mouth! I am more than willing to pay the going high rate for plumbers but not one thousand dollars an hour! The unit.............. REPLACE a tankless water heater! Their quote...............just shy of 6,000 dollars! The most estimate I received from the other plumbers.......same type of unit etc, was slightly over 3,000 dollars. That was the highest of the three outsided estimates!!!! I was a very loyal customer for Andreas plumbing! Shame, shame on them! Trust me, this rating hurts me to write it! Still upset!
Scheduling a basic service as faucet installation with this company or any small service at all is not recommended. Hind sight is 20-20 and I will taking my business elsewhere. I called a week in advance for a faucet replacement and was advised that based on their current workload, someone could be available the next week so then I agreed to a window of time (10am-ish) for a phone call for when a technician could be available. I was then was advised it would be late afternoon and then again on the same call, advised "All of our techs are running behind today so we'll give you a call back later this afternoon when they are This business does base their scheduling on urgency of repairs needed, which is fine for urgent repairs, but will leave your small jobs waiting forever. With that many people servicing that large of an area, you would think appointments could still be made. I guess not. IYKYK 4:00pm update: after a few calls interrupting my work day advising me a technician is "abour an hour away" each time, I am getting a faucet replacement! For about $600.00 with a 2-year warranty on the parts that I am not providing. I did provide the faucet myself. There is an approximate $90 estimation fee they will charge for this business to come and look at any problem even if they don't find one, so look out for that. I was also offered to get text messages to interrupt me throughout my day nstead of phone calls. Also, I did speak with someone who offered me a discount at first but that was before the technician came here and quoted me the work. I'm not sure where that discount went.
Update: The technician who came was awfully young. I shared my concerns with the scheduler on the phone and even with the young technician when he came to my door. I was assured by both that this technician was competent and qualified. So much for competency!! I turned on my AC for the first time today after his service and my AC is now blowing out HEAT instead of cool air!!! Unfortunately I did not think to check my AC before he left since he said he had just checked both my systems and everything was in good working order. Buyer BE AWARE of this sub standard compsny!!! My appointment was canceled twice last minute (an hour or so before appointment time) by Andreas. Third time was an 8 am appointment and the technician came around 9:30. The technician did not clean the HVAC (heating and cooling) or lubricate any parts. All he did was run both systems, took readings, and told me I needed 2 parts (due to wear and tear on a HVAC system that is only about 5 years old!) each part costing between $400-600!!!! The technician visually inspected one of the 2 filters (which I had changed recently) and they did not need to be changed. He said that cleaning, lubricating the systems, and changing the filter is not part of their maintenance service and costs extra. Make sure you find out exactly what their service covers before you hire them. I do not plan to hire them again.
I highly recommend Andreas Plumbing, Heating & Air!! Every single person from the company, the techs that came to our home, to the customer service reps when I called in, are very friendly and helpful. We had a situation occur at our home in July 2025 which Craig and Jordon were dispatched to. Both of them did an excellent job with our AC. Fast Forward to March 20, 2026, our heating system failed and Alex was sent out to assess the situation, then Doug arrived and answered all of our questions, we decided to upgrade our heating system. The crew arrived on Monday, 3/23/26 of Matt and Zach, both very friendly, kind, knowledgeable and hardworking!!! I work from home, and they were very mindful of me working while they were ripping out the old unit and installing the new unit. Erich also joined them on Tuesday. We were without heat in our home for four nights, however, they sent out space heaters for us that kept us comfortable. Thank you to the young man who delivered those, I didn't catch his name. Overall, myself and my husband are very impressed with everything. We are very happy customers and look forward to continuing to rely on your business to keep our home cozy and comfortable. Thank you! Kelly and Tony Sfarra
I only wish Greg and I could give more than 5 stars. When our sewer backed up for the second time in four months, we decided to call a different plumber. I'm so happy we found Andreas. Ryan and Tanner came out to snake the line but, after a great deal of difficulty and sending a camera down, explained that we really needed the jetter to clear it and properly see what was going on. Ethan and Logan were out with the jetter bright and early the next day. They cleared the line and then brought me down to watch the camera and witness all the cracks, breakage, and separations in our old clay sewer pipes (the stuff of nightmares, I assure you). They gave multiple options to fix the problem, put our minds at ease with an option to bypass the old pipes and improve overall flow, and even made financing easy and do-able for this nervous homeowner. Ryan and Tanner were back on the job in just a few days and were absolutely phenomenal. Everything explained, completed and cleaned up with kindness, confidence and professionalism. Bottom line: Andreas Plumbing is THE company to call for your plumbing needs. We are so very grateful to have someone we can rely on when it comes to our 117 year-old home.
First time using Andreas, they were recommended by two different family members, and I'll definitely use them again. Alex was was professional and informative, he asked me what I knew about my system and explained everything to me in a way I could understand and remember, he even showed me pictures so I could see what he was talking about and what to look for. Much different than my experience with other companies. He provided me with options for my system and I didn't feel pressured to make any big decisions right away. Even though he was only here for my HVAC system, he took notice of my water heater and some concerns I wasn't aware of that could be a big problem in the future. He provided neutral options and no pressure. I was surprised with how quickly they responded. I put in a request online over the weekend, got a call Monday and Alex was here Tuesday. I had such a good experience I signed up for their Service Partner Plan and will absolutely use them moving forward. My dog even liked him and that's high praise. 10/10
