Andersen Plumbing & Sewer

I have used Andersen a few times now. They have serviced my home once and my business twice. They are easy to schedule, seem reasonably priced, and are honest. They have also provided less expensive solutions to our problem than other plumbers have. Highly recommend.

I appreciate the level of transparency of what needs to be done. I choose Andersen Plumbing, because I know they take pride in doing doing a great job, and they care about the customer's experience. It's the simple things, like having shoe covers ready to go without having to be asked. They're great!

Great service! Easy to schedule an appointment, Greg arrived on time and was very professional and personable. He fixed the issue I had in no time and the price was reasonable. I highly recommend Andersen Plumbing!!

They will try to take as much money as possible from you, get different estimates from other plumbers. They wanted to charge me $2800-$4800 for a sewage problem. When I called another plumber for an estimate he came out and fixed the problem for $500. I know this review will be taken down since Yelp allows the business owners to do that but if I could help just one person to stay away from these con men then my job is done.

I had them out to quote a project. No contact until a week later when I received an invoice. I asked what it was and they said it was a mistake. I never received a quote. I'd give a one star review because it wasted my time and I had to maneuver my schedule, but that's just mean when they have so few.

I cannot recommend Andersen Plumbing enough! We had a horrible experience with another plumber and Andersen Plumbing is near our home so we called them the same day (a Saturday night). Greg answered even though it was late and scheduled someone to come out on Monday. There was a small hiccup and when my fiancé called on Monday they didn't see us on the schedule, BUT they said they would fit us in that afternoon. Someone was on their way to our home around 3 p.m. on Monday, but their truck broke down. Not their fault at all and they rescheduled right away for Tuesday morning. Joey and someone else (I can't remember his name) came to take a look at the mess the other plumber left. They were honest when they told my fiancé what the issues were. They gave him several options for each issue and explained the costs involved as well as to what degree each option would alleviate the issues. My fiancé hired them on the spot, which is unheard of for him! They had another job scheduled so they left in the middle of the day to complete that job (which we totally understand), but said they'd be back at 2:30 p.m. Their previously scheduled job took quite a bit longer than anticipated, but they still came back. They arrived around 5 p.m. and they're still working right now (9:15 p.m.) to make sure they've completed the job. If you're in need of a plumber, Andersen Plumbing is the best! So kind, honest, and professional!

I had experience with Greg in the past as a renter. Owners utilized Andersen Plumbing and the experience was always great. Greg and his staff explained everything so that I understood what was going on, and also so I could prevent future mishaps. Fast forward to buying my own building and needing to repair a few leaks. Called Andersen Plumbing and they sent two of their guys over. They arrived within the scheduled window. We ran through all the repairs. I was given a few detailed options on fixing things, from merely taking care of the issue now (Band-Aid version) to taking care of the issue and keeping it fixed to preventative measures. I never felt pressured to choose any specific option. I ultimately ended up choosing a mix of the options. A few phone calls and I was given a reasonable estimate, approved it, and they went to work. One of the repairs was a bit more extensive and involved carving into a basement wall a bit. They worked continuously throughout the day. At the end of the day everything was fixed, looked great, and I'm pretty sure they left the place cleaner than when they arrived. I would highly recommend Andersen Plumbing. I will definitely be using them in the future for some of those wishlist tasks.

Greg is a very honest plumber. I am dealing with a rat infestation from rodents that dug up through the basement alongside the new plumbing lines that were put in when the previous owners renovated the house. I was told the rodents came up through the catch basin in back and it was filled with dirt the rats dug in. The rodent guy said it would cost $2k to fix. Gulp. So I got two estimates from licensed plumbers. The first plumber said it would cost even more because the lines had to be rodded out and the basin re-grouted. The second plumber was Greg who told me that my lines had been routed past the catch basin and it was no longer in use. He could have easily bilked me for $2k like the other guys, but he didn't. I haven't seen his actual work, but I'll always call Andersen Plumbing in the future because they are honest.

I had a fantastic experience with Andersen Plumbing and Sewer. Kyle and Danny were the main plumbers on my project, with Kyle serving as the lead. They were professional, knowledgeable, and took the time to explain everything clearly so I felt confident in the work being done. Several other team members also came to support the project, and every single person was courteous and hardworking. The entire crew provided great service and gave me real peace of mind throughout the process. I’m truly grateful for their hard work, care, and attention to detail. If you have a big or even a small job I highly recommend Andersen Plumbing and Sewer! Please do yourself a favor and just call and discuss what you need I can assure you they will resolve your issues and provide the best solution.

Kyle was great. He explained what and why the plumbing needed to be done before he provide the bid and after the work was done he explained what was done again. We had seized faucet on / off hot & cold valves to the clothes washer we had to replace that were connected to galvanize pipes. We had known for a long time that the whole house shut off valve in the crawl-was seized also so we had Kyle replace that too. He also drained gallons out of the bottom of the dead clothes washer so the installers of the new washer would not have to do that and will be able to easily install the new washer and easily remove the old washer. We will Definately want Kyle as our plumber when we remodel our kitchen and when we upgrade our main bathroom and our half bath

First time home owner here, as many of us. After a couple months in our home we noticed rust on our water heater. After reaching out to a couple other companies we had Andersen out to inspect. Greg came out and completed the full inspection. Unfortunately for us, water heater needed to be replaced. Thank goodness we had Greg out when we did, our water heater was hanging on by a thread. He was very knowledgeable and helpful! I also want to thank Kerri in the office, she was my first point of contact and she was also very helpful and made sure we were priority. A trustworthy business for us (new home owners)!

I contacted Andersen Plumbing on 9/27/19 to schedule a bathroom faucet installation and rodding. Appointment was set for 10/2, so I made arrangements to work from home that day. Greg Gazda showed up, looked at the sink, and provided a verbal quote. I had been expecting to have the work done, not a quote provided, but whatever. Greg offered the next Monday, 10/7, as the day for the work to be completed. I texted him later that morning to confirm that I wouild would see him on 10/2. He replied "Sounds good". So, I took 10/7 off work and he never showed up. No show, no call, no followup, nothing.

I am so happy we found Anderson Plumbing! After a horrible experience with 2 other plumbers, Anderson has been able to fix any issues the same day Greg came to give an estimate. Greg worked quickly and his work is very reasonably priced. We had a backed up toilet and a leak in our shower he was able to fix right away for a fair price,. He also answered or plumbing questions and give estimates for future work in our 100 year old bungalow. I would highly recommend Anderson Plumbing.

Had to replace a sump pump and looked in the BBB IL site and found this highly rated company. Greg came, assessed the problem, and came back with the quote and solution. Came the next day and installed the new pump while answering a lot if my questions around the setup since we just moved into this house. Very informative. They do charge a small extra % if you pay with a credit card, but paying them with a personal check is no issue. Will call them in the future for any plumbing work.

Updated: had another visit with Kyle today and all the below is still true. They came over fast, explained every option, and were very informative and clear. Will call Andersen again for our plumbing needs (but knock on wood we don't need them again soon). Very nice person, was considerate about maintaining cleanliness in my home, gave me multiple solutions and explained each option so I could choose what I felt was best for our situation, worked fast.
