Melissa was very helpful when making my appointment. She got someone out the next day. Trevor came out and was great! He found the water pipe leak in the wall right away. My plumber was able to get it repaired the same day.
I cannot say enough good things about America Leak Detection. They are very professional and respond and handle problems quickly. I had a pool leak and called American Leak Detection on recommendation from a friend who had used them to find her pool leak. Office staff was friendly and helpful and set an appointment for their technician to come out. He called an hour before he came to let me know he was on his way, arrived on time and got to work immediately. He found an issue and got it fixed in no time. Two weeks later we had another problem and once again the technician called ahead of appointment time, arrived on time and discovered my problem. This call was covered by their warranty. This time it was more than he was equipped to handle, but the office said they would refer me to someone who could handle the problem. I heard from that company in a prompt time frame and I will be working with them to fix the problem. I am so impressed with the professionalism, positive attitudes and prompt service from American Leak Detection and highly recommend them if you think you have a leak problem.
Unusually high water bill?? If you suspect a leak and can’t find it, I highly recommend American Leak Detection to find the water source. Quick service scheduled by Melissa, who is delightful , helpful and answered all my questions, made my decision to use this company an easy one. Chris M., the technician, was polite, knowledgeable and efficient. Because it was a small leak requiring more time to find, he persevered without complaint. Thank goodness, it was in the sprinkler system not the house! I cannot thank them enough. Lynne, Satisfied Customer
Terrible experience. The technician sent was unable to perform the job alone, yet I was billed for their inability to properly staff the service call. My private plumber confirmed their proposed solution to install another pressure valve at the other end was unnecessary, if they had been properly staffed with the appropriate amount of technicians for the job, the job could’ve been completed. I reached out after it was done on February 12, I got no response from the message. I left with Megan at the Cullman office and also no response from their website when I wrote to them as well. I received a bill on March 9 with no communication from them whatsoever, called again spoke with Megan again where she advised me she would get with a manager - she did call me back this time and said there was nothing their manager can do because the technician had already spent the time. This customer service is unacceptable and I would not recommend this company. After reviewing the contract with legal counsel, I am prepared to dispute the full leak detection charge based on the terms of the Standard Work Authorization and the circumstances of the service visit. According to the agreement, the service being purchased was “Leak Detection” with an estimated charge of $424 for two hours of detection time. However, during the visit the technician informed me that he was unable to properly perform the detection process because the gas used to pressurize the line escaped before he could attempt to locate the leak. He further stated that a plumber would first need to install an additional pressure regulator at the opposite end of the line so the system could be filled and tested before the gas escaped. He also indicated that this situation effectively required additional assistance in order to properly conduct the test. Because the line could not be adequately pressurized, the leak detection procedure described in the work authorization was never actually completed. The technician therefore did not perform the service outlined in the agreement, but instead determined that the system required additional preparation before leak detection could even occur. The agreement also states that if service is cancelled at the time of arrival, a $150 service call fee will apply. Since the leak detection service itself was not able to be performed, my attorney has advised the appropriate charge would be limited to the service call rather than the full leak detection fee. technician came and immediately told me he'd have trouble finding the leak due to the length of the driveway and the pressure regulator being on my home. also told me in my situation that it would be a two person job but it was only him. tried a few things and walked around for an hour and a half. i could have told them the length of my driveway and where my pressure regulator was located had they asked, but then they couldn't have sent someone out to waste my time so they could bill me. yep, they billed me the full amount. probably not gonna pay it, but wanted to alert anyone else that thought using them was a good idea. DON'T!
