I am 94 years old and live by myself, and it can be very difficult for me to manage home repairs. I do not use the internet very much, but Joseph kindly showed me how to use speech-to-text on my phone so I could leave this review myself. I truly wanted people to know how wonderful he was. For weeks, there was a loud humming noise every time I used the water, and it was driving me crazy. At my age, you appreciate peace and quiet, and the sound was very upsetting. From the moment he arrived, he treated me with patience, kindness, and respect. I am hard of hearing and move slowly because of arthritis, and he never once rushed me. He took his time to listen carefully and explain everything in a way I could understand. He didn’t just fix the problem — he checked my whole plumbing system to make sure everything was safe. No plumber has ever done that for me before. He even had to cut into some of the stucco to do the repair properly, and I was worried the price might go up. It never did. He kept his word exactly. That meant a lot to me. In my long life, I have met many contractors. Joseph stands out as one of the most honest, hardworking, and compassionate young men I have ever encountered. His workmanship is beautiful, and his character is even better. If you want someone who truly cares, who does the job right, and who treats you like family, call Allstar Plumbing and ask for Joseph. Joe L arrived within 2 hours of my evening call and was very respectful and knowledgeable. The price was reasonable and agreed upon up front (no surprises). He was very careful and patient and did not rush the job. He went beyond just fixing the surface problem to helping investigate the root cause and giving good, honest advice.

Joseph L. Is the most incredible, hardworking young man I have ever seen in my entire life. Seeing the drive and dedication to perfect his craft was *french kiss*. We first contacted Allstar to fix a water mixing issue. They came and charged us to diagnose the problem and said that it was a cartridge in one of the showers that had failed that was causing the cold and the hot water to cross over. They then charged us more to fix the problem. So far, so good. They installed the new cartridge and told us that it was fixed. A few weeks later, we were still having the issue and so we had them come back. Another guy, Jose comes out and says our issue was that actually our recirculator was sending hot water into the cold and that they needed to install a stop valve so that the flow was unidirectional. I once again, double checked whether this was going to fix the problem and they assured me this was the problem. So they charged me another few thousand dollars to redo the piping. After that, they said that that didn't fix the problem and that it was the cartridge after all and they had misdiagnosed which one of the showers had failed in the first place. So they came back and said it was this other shower that was the problem. So they took out the old cartridge but couldn't install the new one due to some build up. Now, this failed install is causing the shower head to leak constantly. Except, the owner, Sergio now doesn't want to do more work unless we pay more money on a problem they misdiagnosed and a leak they caused in the first place. Now I have a leak that they are refusing to fix without more money and they still haven't fixed the initial mixing issue. Evidently Sergio has been complaining about how he has already lost a lot of money of this job as a reason for not doing the right thing here. FWIW, they seem like nice guys (at least when talking to them) but from a business and quality of work (not to mention value), I would steer clear from these guys. I'm really disappointed because generally you want to support local businesses. I think this is one of those cases where when pushed to the limit, they won't actually pony up to fix the problem.

I recently called for plumbing repairs and was extremely impressed with the service. The technician arrived on time, was friendly, and quickly diagnosed the problem with my pipes. Everything was explained clearly, and the repair was completed efficiently and professionally. They also gave helpful tips to prevent future issues, which I really appreciated. The team was courteous, respectful of my home, and worked diligently to get everything back in perfect order. I will definitely call them again for any plumbing needs.
