The pilot on my water heater went out. I tried troubleshooting myself to no avail until I decided to call someone. I called another company first and they told me the first available appointment was next day. Called All Utah Plumbing, Heating & Air and they told me they would come to my house shortly after finishing another work they were doing. They came to my house within an hour and got my water heater working almost instantly. Turns out it was an easy fix, but they explained the possible cause and gave me recommendations on what to do if it happens again. They also inspected my water softener and gave me tips to keep it working properly and prevent doing damage to my water heater and pipelines down the road. They were very knowledgeable, courteous, and I would definitely recommend them!
I had a great experience with this company, specifically John. They were fast to arrive and provided me with great service. What I really appreciated is that John took the time to educate me about what was going on with my A/C system. Then he proceeded to give me the options of what he could do and gave me a pro/cons for all. I also appreciated that when I explained our specific housing situation he was able to tailor his recommendations. This company gave quality and costumer-specific service. Much appreciated and plan to use them for any similar needs in the future.
Perez and Walter were amazing! They came same day to fix a broken sprinkler valve and made sure to educate on proper care and maintenance. Will definitely use them for future needs!
BLUF: Don’t hire these people—they’re the most incompetent, thieving "HVAC company" I've ever dealt with. Full Story: Our fairly new furnace kept shutting off overnight, leaving us freezing. Before heading out of town, I called the first company I found on Google—THESE GUYS—since I couldn't remember our original installer. They arrived promptly and seemed nice. They "claimed" to have cleaned the sensor but didn’t. How do I know? The problem wasn’t fixed. When I finally found my original HVAC guy, he checked the sensor and said if they cleaned it at all, they did a lousy job. Worse, they didn’t even check the FURNACE FILTER which was filthy and the likely culprit—all while charging me over $100. While they were here, they quoted $1,200 for unnecessary work on my water heater, including cycling it (not needed), adding valves (also not needed), and cleaning sensors. They also wanted $50 PER BOLT to trim toilet bolts so the caps would stay on. In the end, I only had them "clean" the furnace sensor—poorly—and they still charged me over $100. Then they slapped their stickers all over my furnace and water heater. They also left behind a broken screwdriver attachment and a pair of needle-nose pliers. You know how you usually ignore those stickers? Not this time. I took the time to remove them—because that pile of trash is exactly what their work is worth.
Terribly overpriced, charged for 2 journeymen and 1 apprentice for probably a 1 person maybe a journeyman and apprentice max. One of the journeymen left for over 2 hours but I was charged for him being there. Also, installed wrong unit and it’s been over a month trying to resolve the issue and get the cost difference refunded. They try to upsell every chance they have, $4,500 for a water heater! Shop small business for better service and better prices. I would never use “Action” again.
The technician gave me an estimate over the phone, because we don't live in Utah anymore but we still own the house there, the wife and I talked it over and we were going to try and find the funds to pay for the sprinkler work. I called the main office and spoke to John Holland, to try and make payment arrangements to cover the $600+ Estimate his technician gave me, after the walk through he charged me $85 for, but he John told me that he needed all the funds in cash. My wife told me that the estimate sounded quite high for just 5 or 6 sprinkler heads that needed to be replaced, and a clock that needed to be programmed. So I called John back and asked him if he could break down the bill for me. The horrible incident happened after I called John back for the second time. I told him that we can't allocate the funds and that we will be calling him back in a couple of weeks when we have the funds, that if we can just square up the bill of what we currently owe him for the $85 Walk through, that we'll call him back when we are ready to proceed on the work. Before I could udder another word, he immediately went on a rant of how he didn't know that we lived all the way in a Eagle Mountain, and that he should have charged me more money for the visit... even though I gave him the address for his technician to get there initially, and I even explained that we lived in the city center, but whatever... I brushed that off and proceeded to ask him if his technician was going to leave a breakdown of the estimate with exactly what sprinklers needed replacing. Well, when I said that, John blew his top, and stated that he had already lost enough money on my visit and that he was NOT going to pay his technician to leave a estimate breakdown with the sprinklers that needed to be fixed, unless I wanted to pay an extra $100. And that he refused to leave flags indicating which sprinklers needed repair. (I never mentioned flags) I asked him that if an estimate breakdown was not included with the $85 I just paid him, then what did I just pay him for? And he stated "you paid me for the walk through", and I said "yeah but, you're not leaving me with anything concrete, not even a breakdown of what sprinklers needed to be replaced. I didn't pay you to drive out there just so you can leave me a receipt". At this point he became even more adjetated and aggressive and said "I'll have the technician just leave a small piece of paper with a hand drawn map with where the sprinklers might be, it won't be accurate. And that's all you're getting! I'm already paying my guy to be out there and I'm Iosing money on this". Like its my fault that he didn't realize the cost involved for his services...? He also told me that he had not offered the sprinkler location breakdown because I didn't asked for it the first time I called...? ( BTW The whole time he's cutting off from finishing a sentence) I asked him why he didn't initially tell me that an breakdown of the estimate was an extra charge? He proceeded to tell me that in all his 20 something years of doing his, that not ONE customer has ever asked him for a detailed breakdown of the estimate, which I found hard to believe. Every contractor I have ever worked with has given me a detailed breakdown of their potential work. I told him that, that sounded really shady, that's when he dropped the F-bomb, NO JOKE! I told him that wasn't very professional language to use and that I would no longer do business with him. His exact words were "f*** this! I'm not losing anymore money, I have 90% review, and I have perfect reviews, so I can always get more customers." That's when he realized I would also be leaving a review, and then his entire demeanor changed. At this point I was now pissed, and I told him that either he can leave a paper indicating the location of the missing sprinklers, from the walk through, or, that not only would I leave a bad review but I that would also do a chargeback through my bank. Then, all the sudden he became a magically "understanding man" trying to work something out... I wasn't going to write this review, but instead of charging me the $85 we agreed to, he charged me $89.95. And BTW I am doing a chargeback, for stealing, even if it was only $5 bucks! You don't swear at your customers John!!!
I was very disappointed with the service that was provided. We were in a pinch and were leaving my in-laws with kids for a couple weeks for a trip and wanted things to be fixed before we left. Both the furnace which was blowing cold air and the water heater pilot light wasn't staying lit and I didn't have time to mess with it. These guys had good reviews and could come out that same day so I thought this was perfect. I wasn't there when they arrived but my wife showed them the problems. She called me shortly after and said, that Coy told her that the water heater was 10 years old and it might be time to replace it or he could try and clean it out to see if that resolves the issue, but there are no guarantees. I talked to him myself to question him and he basically defended himself saying I'm the plumber and your not. My thought was he is taking advantage of the situation with my wife. He did not offer to replace any parts or anything else to try and resolve the issue. I should have stopped him there and paid the service fee and leave to get someone else to look at it. But I was running out of time. We had him clean the water heater which was over $200... And at the same time I was going to have him service the furnace and clean it out. Total costing over $400. From the time I talked to him to when he was done collecting payment was a total of 45 mins. At this point I understood that the water heater was a gamble but the furnace would have worked just fine. By the end of the day it was blowing cold air again and the water heater pilot light was still not staying on. I didn't want to pay for someone to come out and charge me extra fees because now it's the weekend. So I started looking on you tube. Sure enough I was able to temporarily by pass a sensor on the thermocouple and the pilot light hasn't gone out since. As far as the furnace goes, my father in-law had to take care of it because we left on our trip. The HVAC guy came and said the temperature sensor was being blocked and the flame wasn't hitting it.(so much for the cleaning Coy did) He cleaned the tube and now it works great. I felt like after all this he didn't take the time to figure out the actual problems. And because they "know what they are doing" I should trust him and pay him for his service. I won't be using these guys again.
I am extremely please with All Utah Plumbing Heating, especially their worker Walter. Yesterday we had a water heater emergency. We found water all over the floor and thought our water heater broke again. We were upset! We thought, “How could this happen? We just got a new one 3 and 1/2 years ago.” I called the number (conveniently left on the water heater) and got a hold of someone 20 minutes before the work day was done. They took my info, including the serial number of the water heater. The representative was quite useful and said they’d do research and contact the water heater company who made the product (AO Smith proline). I certainly felt supported. The next day at 8:49 am I received a call, saying an agent was coming out to the house. Walter came. He was friendly and courteous. He inspected the product and gave us his professional opinion and awareness. The problem was fixed immediately (a release valve had been triggered, nothing more). He pointed out all the factors of our water hearing and soft water system and suggested we always use salt pellets as they supported all of the water systems of the entire house. Needless to say, by the time he was done we felt greatly released, supported, and felt like a life long professional friend had been made. Side note: I was also impressed that it was an Utah company and not some national Walmart corporation that was seeking to take over the world. I also asked if I could leave a review for Walter and the company. He didn’t ask me! I wanted to do something to show my gratitude for the fine service I received. Thanks all of your from All Utah Pumbing, Heating, etc. you made our day!!
Not happy at all. I needed shower nozzle stems and diverter replaced because water was dripping. It's an older house so I bought the parts myself so everything would go smoothly. Sadly, when I did this, the bag of parts did not have a seat enclosed. How would I know? Plumber looked at my parts then started to work. John came in several minutes later and I heard, we can not replace the seats. I went in to the bathroom to ask why. No seats. 2 stems were replaced in 15 minutes and I was charged more than $300. The quote. I was then told for them to come back out and replace the three $2 seats, I would be charged another $250. Their motto, Call us when you want integrity, craftsmanship and honest pricing. The definition of Integrity is: the quality of being honest and having strong moral principles. When they saw that I did not have seats they should have said, we are not going to do this job without all the parts. Lets reschedule. Small charge for coming out today. I would have said that's fine, thanks for the Integrity. I have shared this experience with them on every social platform I could find.
HIGHWAY ROBBERY! I called because I had a huge leak downstairs and he charged us almost 4,000 dollars to fix the "cause of the leak" so we went with it since he's the professional. Turned out we spent that money on something that did not need fixing at all and then once we turn the shower on and there is still a waterfall flowing downstairs we call him and he completely denies that we called about that and insists he fixed a leak that we would have had problems with in the future when that is absolutely not true! We called and asked him to please come back and fix what I had originally called about to make this right but he said he would only do it if he got paid and would offer us a "discount". He made everything worse and we spent a ton of money on things that did not need fixing at all! Not to mention he made gross wise crack comments about his D*** in front of my 77 year old mother and made her feel extremely uncomfortable. Very unprofessional and no integrity with this company at all! They will cheat you!
Sad really, but I called in on a Sunday for a simple repair on a leak under my sink. A very nice gentleman answered and said he could have a tech out to me in 1-1 1/2 hrs. I agreed to the $120 min.charge too even show up and he said he'd have someone call me. 2 1/2 hrs.later I call him (mind you this is on my only day off with 4 kids waiting to 'do something' with Dad) and he exclaims "Oh, he hasn't called you yet? Then attempts to refer me to a bigger company and explains that he was referring my business, unbeknownst to me, to 911 plumbing. I agreed to wait and shortly thereafter received a call from the other company saying they'd be another hour. I just attempted to call this company back and no-one answered. I called 911 Plumbing and cancelled then as well. Both companies showed poor customer service and zero communication and their pricing seems no cheaper than larger, more reputable outfits.
Had loud noises coming from my water heater after running a hot water cycle on my washer. Did some online research and found out it was sentiment buildup in the tank. Read it was an easy fix, but for someone as clueless as me about plumbing, figured I'd call a professional to see what it would cost. All Utah Plumbing to the rescue! Scheduled service and got a call before arriving. Perez did a fantastic job...kept everything clean, was very knowledgeable about what happened and how to maintain the tank. The $49 fee was affordable for me and worth the piece of mind that I feel now. Thank you :D
Very disappointed. Only gave 2 stars because of they're fast response. I called them out to fix a water pressure issue in my sprinkler line (a broken pipe) I was told that it wasn't a broken pipe and that it was just a faulty sprinkler head. They replaced the head and said it was fixed when all they did was put a tighter nozzle sprinkler head on so that the low water pressure would spray farther. I still had to find the broken line myself after paying them over $400 for less than an hour of their time. Maybe they are good at plumbing and heating, but not sprinklers.
I’m really happy with All Utah Plumbing, Heating & Air. The technician came to my house so quickly, right after I called the company. They were knowledgeable and ready to help right away. It’s the best customer service I have ever experienced. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for quick and efficient problem-solving. There were no extra fees, just fast and professional service, and everything they fixed works perfectly. I’m so grateful for my two technicians, Coy and Walt. They did the best job. Thank you. I will use them again!
6/26/2024 They replaced our furnace, AC unit and hot water heater all in one day. 9am to about 2pm. GREAT WARRANTY! Update 2026 They offered a great warranty. Replaced my air conditioning unit furnace and hot water heater, and then the guy retired and went out of business a month later in August of 2024. Now I have no warranty. You can't tell me that he didn't know he was shutting the doors a month after he installed that. NOT COOL! I WOULD HAVE HAD IT INSTALLED BY SOMEBODY ELSE WHO WAS STILL GOING TO BE IN BUSINESS.
