Big props to Lance and Sergio at All Star Plumbing. Sergio came in for a scheduled jet cleaning due to a backup over the weekend, (mind you the price All Star quoted was roughly a third less than a quote from another plumbing service) but before just jumping in and jetting, he checked all of the drains and snaked a camera through - all the way to the main line. Sergio said we’re all clear, no need to jet, and Lance said no charge, we appreciate your business. I insisted, since as a business operator I know there are costs associated with simply sending someone out; so I was expecting to at least compensate for time and prep. And, I will also expect to pay for time and prep should this occur again. But alas, to no avail. So I’ll show my thanks by letting as many people know through this review and will continue to recommend for friends and family. I have used Allstar in the past as well, they are very good with pricing across the board, hence my reaching out to them again.

This review is long overdue. Jondee, Lance, Jerry and the whole crew at All Star Plumbing are amazing! They always go above and beyond for me and my clients buying and selling homes. They’re on time, and professional for our sewer line inspections and pull strings to make repairs happen in timely manner. They do a great job explaining things well to might clients. Highly satisfied and will continue to use them like I always do.

Wonderful, honest and professional! My hot water heater was not heating. I had an estimate from another plumbing company. They charged 49.95 to look at my hw heater and quoted me $3,500.00 to replace it. All Star called me and said they would give a free quote. Bobby came out immediately and discovered my husband had just turned a dial wrong. All Star didn't charge us at all. We're seniors citizens and they gave us faith in good people. From $3,500.00 from another company to a caring and honest company made a big difference to us! Thank you All Star. My friend, Katie will be calling you tomorrow for service!

Had 2 guys give me a price on tankless hot water heater. They said 5700.00 plus 750 for a GFI plug. $6450.00 I was floored. Very unprofessional and rude. Felt like I went to a used car dealer. The unit is 1350.00 bought myself. Had a plumper I know installed for 750.00. I paid 2100.00. Beware of these guys. One guy asked me what a price should be. Really. So that is only part of the story. Called the office and told girl I needed to talk to owner she said fine. 2 hours later owner called and said that is not how they do business, I was like great. Said He would send email to me with more info, never did. People always say veterans owned, just another RUSE. Stay away from these guys. Stop reading AI comments. Not true.

Look elsewhere as they are very very very expensive. They also try to upsell you even if you don't need other services.

PDS Plumbing & Air is who you want to go with! They are a top company in the Central Valley for a reason. Our original AC was put in when the house was built in 2000. From what I'm told they're obsolete and no longer make these ACs due to the laws phasing them out. AC units can last up to 20 years and we were five years overdue for a new AC. Raul came out to look at our unit and give me a quote. While he was testing our AC, it started smoking (see attached pic). This is how confident PDS Plumbing & Air is about their products and the services they offer. Raul encouraged me to get price quotes and shop around. He wanted me to be confident in making a decision because replacing a AC is a huge investment and costly. I reached out to several different companies to get quotes (4 other quotes). Everyone said I needed to replace my AC. Everything that Raul told me was wrong with our unit, the other companies confirmed without knowing what he had told me. So that let me know that he was being very transparent and trustworthy. All the price quotes ranged from 19K - 30K. The reason why I went with PDS Plumbing & Air is because Raul was very transparent and very thorough with his assessment. He was also empathetic to our family's needs. He knew what this would cost, and he kept my best interest in mind as a customer. I didn't once feel like the process was a sales pitch with a bunch of upselling or feel pressured to go with his company. Another key factor for me was they are a veteran owned company. My husband and I are both disabled veterans so that really made them stand out to us. I just had my AC unit installed on June 4. Ismael and his team of three other guys came out to our home. They were all professional and kind and worked efficiently. Ismael even gave us portable AC units for our rooms so we could cool off while they were installing the new unit. The whole time Raul checked in with my husband and I to make sure the installation was going as planned and asked us if we had any questions. I've spoken with their dispatchers and their billing people at different times during this process. Their customer service is unmatched and excellent. Update: Called PDS Plumbing & Air again to put in 3 bidets, a new tankless water heater and a whole house filtration system. I worked with Luis, Antonio, Carlos and James throughout the whole process. Every single one of the guys gave top-notch customer service and were super professional. I am so happy I made this decision to go with PDS Plumbing & Air. Highly recommend!

This is our second experience with PDS. The first involved a leak from our washer that went down the wall into our garage. They hooked us up repairing the leak without throwing in a whole bunch of extra stuff that wasn't needed. This time, our hot water heater went out Sunday night. Sent in the repair to Yelp and got some responses early in the morning. Went with the first who showed up late. He said it would be a sensor and that the office would get in touch. The next day, we called PDS. He came and said it would be a bigger project than initially told. He explained our Rheem unit from Home Depot and how they are not friendly towards repairs. Told us it would cost $1800-ish for the parts(plural), or $4000-ish to swap out the whole thing. We had yet to hear from the initial guy again so decided to swap the whole thing. Fast forward a few hours and the guys that were supposed to do the job still hadn't contacted us. Meanwhile the first company got back to us. We got the part and can be there before the end of the day. Why not, let's take a chance on the cheaper option. He comes and less than an hour later, confesses he was hoping it was a sensor. After some talking, he confirms what the other guy said. Where before you could buy a part to fix a hot water heater, now it's an assembly (a variety of connected parts) that are not easily accessible. Might take days. Might take weeks. That confirms it for us. Just swap the whole thing. But we're not going to go with the company that was guessing the whole time. Call back PDS who figured it out right away and tell them to come back. Mind you it's the end of the day already, Tuesday already and we could have already had our new unit in by now had we not gambled on the cheaper option. Fast forward Wednesday morning, day of our 20th anniversary, and Scott and Carlos finally come in. A couple hours and the job is done. They explained everything, answered all questions. And even left us a bucket because I said I needed a bucket to get some dirt this weekend. Awesome! This is 2 times in a row PDS came through for us when another company couldn't do it

All in all, All Star did resolve the following issues over the course of a week and a half. The bathroom was supposed to take 3 days and it took a total of 12, due to all of the issues. The supervisor was very responsive and handled everything after it was reported, but I wanted others to be aware of how miserable the experience was for us. -Added tape to our saltillo tile and removed the finish. To repair it, they spray painted the saltillo (also hit the wall). -Had to come back and hand scrape the floors and restain and seal them, as well as re-paint the trim -Installed a defective toilet that leaked on the new floors. -The project manager forgot to add water to it, which caused the valve to break. He would not fix it without charging us $375, which we had to get waived by the supervisor. -Had to re grout the floor due to the defective toilet because the grout was stained black (it was supposed to be white) -Mysteriously, all of our purchased parts (from Ferguson's, a reputable store) were defective when they installed them -Had to redo the tile to remove defective parts -Threw away our baseboards and had to buy new, threw the new baseboard away and had to re-buy base boards for the second time -When they installed the trim, it is not flush with the floors -Did not install hot water - I had to boil water to take a bath -Shower spout was defective and was not pulling water through the shower head -When they laid the new trim, they marked the drywall with about a 15 inch scratch. -Overall, messiest contractors we've worked with. They laid mats down but didn't use them much. We had to clean up after each crew left. Still removing drywall from the cabinets and mirrors. I'm glad that the supervisor was so responsive. He called daily and gave me updates; however, this was the worst experience we've had with a contractor.

All Star's ticket through our front door came via their offer to give a free estimate, while others wanted to charge $125 just to drop in and assess the situation. The technician arrived within the window they gave at the time the appointment was made. I had some concerns at first when the plumber arrived — mainly whether he’d be able to comfortably access the tight space under my kitchen sink. To his credit, he handled it without issue and got the job done efficiently by convincing me to repair our existing faucet for $100 rather than installing a new one for $450 (labor only). Communication was straightforward, and he came prepared with all the right tools, which for this repair consisted of an allen wrench, flash light, and channel lock pliers. After watching how simple the repair was I felt like a dummy for not fixing it myself, given I have all the tools - just lacked brains enuf to watch a YouTube video to show me how. (Also a dummy for getting a C-2 cotractor's license instead of a C-36) We put a fan under the sink and let it dry out thorougly overnight and it appears work he did tightening up the loose nut was solid, and everything's functioning as it should. The technician accepted our personal check (they only take cash and checks - no CC, Venmo, tap-and-pay, etc) and straight up asked that I give them a 5 star google review, which I could not refuse given how quickly and efficiently he treated our domestic headache, not to mention the $350 saved by not installing the new $79.00 faucet I had just purchased.

I wish I could give more than five stars! Joe came out to help us with some leaky fixtures and some hot water problems. We were getting hot water to most of our house, but two tubs were not getting hot water really at all. He noted the leaks that I knew about and also pointed out that some of the angle stops were dysfunctional as well. He originally pointed out two that were faulty, but actually fixed four of them for the price of two. Incredibly generous and kind for taking care of us that way. Joe was also a really comfortable houseguest — he didn’t seem uncomfortable at all, was very professional, and had a good sense of humor as well. Something that isn’t plumbing related but paints a good picture of the kind of guy Joe is is how he reacted when I opened my front door and was embarrassed that I still hadn’t cleaned the cobwebs I noticed when we moved in two weeks ago. The cobwebs were catching the sun and were plainly visible to both of us so I said “oh gosh. Look at that cobweb I’m so sorry, that’s so gross!” Joe looked up calmly without saying anything or making a grand gesture and just swept it away with his bare hands. What a guy. Joe will take care of you and your house like you are his family. I will recommend him to everyone I know who needs a plumber. In fact, I wish my parents lived in town so I could set them up with a better plumber than they’ve ever had. Thank you, Joe!

PDS came out to service on 10/1/2025, stating that our ducting system had collapsed, and we needed to replace it for another $8,000. (Quoted at $8,890) They have been out of service twice after replacing the entire unit. They also told us that a 2.5ton unit was too small for our house, that we needed to upsize, we went to a 4-ton based on their advisement ($15,000), which is what they said caused the collapse. They also stated that the brand-new unit had corrosion on the heating coils after only 10 months of "life" and was now aged 8 years. We had asked if they pulled permits, they stated they did not need to do that since it was a "mechanical" change, then stated a week later they pulled out an electrical permit, City of Clovis confirmed no permit were pulled at all which is not legal. We had a second company come look to give a second quote. There is no collapse in the ducting system, new intake register tube is too small (which is the new one they replaced in January) and we needed a new output vent and it would bring everything back to code. After telling the manager that the company did not pull permits, we received no call, email for the last 6 days with the exception of we need to sign the contract of $4,500 for them to come redo all the ducting work but not to correct the actual problem. This company will not be allowed in my home again.

Beware. Till recently I used to get all work done with PDS with peace of mind. Quotes were in line with expectations and I trusted PDS to do the right thing. Sometimes I've not even had other quotes to get a job done. My recent experience was different. I had a winter Maintainance cleanup for the furnace. They recommended changing the capacitor, adding a new leak detector for the pan and replacing a firing pin. The labor charges for the visit alone were 900$ and separate pricing for parts. I've changed capacitors myself and added leak detectors before so I understand how much work this involves. $900 is really not what someone should be charging for labor. (This is separate from the 89$ winter tune up charge and cost of parts and the whole visit took just about 2 hours which included the cleanup. Also, the quote comes after the technicians go back to thier van for quite a bit of time in between) To top it all, the final invoice is not itemized. It does not specify the parts cost and labor cost that was shown to me onsite for each entry. It feels as if PDS does not want this to be on emails or printed material. These experiences diminish the value of a brand and trust that is built over time. Now, I'll be careful of what quotes I get from PDS. It takes time to build trust and little to lose it.

PDS Plumbing and Air engages in deceptive business practices. Many other reviews on Yelp mention that the company agrees to one price but then charges a significantly higher amount. In my case, I responded to an advertisement for a $99 drain unclogging service and was charged $289. Seeing similar reviews, I can only conclude this is a recurring pattern rather than an isolated incident. Based on other complaint responses, Daniel will attempt to justify the unethical and deceptive practice. However, there is no justification, he simply offers one price and charges another. With multiple reports of overcharging, it's clear that this practice is intentional rather than accidental. Consumers deserve honest businesses that uphold their advertised prices. There are other plumbers out there, find one that is honest, and you'll receive quality work at a lower price. If enough people boycott unethical companies such as PDS Plumbing and Air, maybe they will stop cheating people. I regret using PDS Plumbing and will not ever hire them again.

I had a kitchen sink back up. I used All-Star Plumbing for that in 2021 and they ended up needing to do hydro-jetting the line, it worked perfectly. This time the same thing seems to happened again. I called and they responded right away. This time they sent Sergio. Such a nice guy! Sergio was professional, knowledgeable and respectful. I ask a lot of questions and he explained everything to me with clarity and patience. I had the hydro-jetting service again on a Friday, which ended up only partially clearing my 2" line. So I called and let them know there was still an issue and Sergio came back out on Monday morning at no charge, checked out everything and it ends up what he called a root infestation way out near the main line. So until we get that fixed we will be having a reoccurring problem. He gave me an estimate for fixing it. I'll have to wait, but definitely still highly recommend them. I feel they are honest and reasonable. Also plan to use them to clean out my septic tank. Totally would recommend All Star!

I had a leaky toilet in one bathroom and also a leaky shower valve that was causing water damage to one wall. Richard and Arturo came out and accessed the damage, then sent Chance and Jayson to repair/replace these. Chance and Jayson did a great job and included before/after photos in their invoice. They explained what they were doing, even though my comprehension isn't always great. I'm amazed how they were able to move around in this particular bathroom because it's a super small bathroom. I only have one minor issue. They left two holes in my bathroom wall. I understand that could not be helped. I'm not blaming them at all. They needed to remove some drywall to get to the pipes. I called PDS for an estimate to repair the drywall, but I never heard back from them. But other than that I am very pleased with the outcome. I'll call them again. One more thing, the lady who answers the phone is very pleasant and kind. Thumbs up to all involved.
