I had a burst hot water pipe at my rental property and needed a plumber fast. Even though I wasn't in town, John and Nolan showed up just an hour after I called and worked late into the night to fix the problem. They explained everything to me in simple terms and made sure I understood what was going on, which really helped ease my worries. They even handled the paperwork for the water damage clean-up with my insurance. I'm really happy with how quickly and professionally they got my plumbing issue sorted out.

From the moment we called, Robert was very helpful and quick to answer all our plumbing questions. We were in the process of buying a home and needed a plumber to inspect a problem with the pipes before closing. Robert handled scheduling our appointments and sent confirmations right away, making everything stress-free. Nolan was the plumber who came out, and he was professional and showed up on time for both the inspection and the repairs. He explained everything clearly, fixed the plumbing issue fast, and gave us peace of mind before moving in. We are very happy with the inspection and the repair work done. If we ever need plumbing or drain services again, we will definitely call them.

After a week without water in my kitchen, I called for help with a new faucet installation and was amazed when Nolan showed up at my Littleton home within the hour. I had been left without a working faucet, but Nolan was friendly, reassuring, and clearly knew his way around plumbing repairs. He quickly got everything installed and made sure the job was done right. It was a huge relief to have my kitchen back in working order, and I feel very fortunate to have found such a reliable plumber. I know who I’ll call the next time I need any plumbing work done!

Canceled an emergency service call because the owner John got mad and threw a tantrum. SUPER unprofessional and unreliable. Completely left me in a lurch.

Johnny Stubbs installed a new central AC system in May 2018. John Lennon, the owner, installed our filter drier backwards as seen in the photo below. We learned this on May 19, 2020 when we had Coyote HVAC out to find out why our system wouldn't work properly. Johnny Stubbs was negligent and didn't install our system correctly. This error restricts liquid going to the evaporator & messes up the entire unit. Unfortunately, John Lennon of Johnny Stubbs refuses to guarantee his work & he won't reimburse us for the thousands of dollars we have paid to not only him over the last two years but to a second HVAC company who fixed our system and put the filter drier on correctly & spent hours fixing our system. John Lennon is not trustworthy. He doesn't back his work. If you have an issue down the road, you'll have to take your issues in front of a judge.

I can't say enough good things about our experience with Johnny Stubbs. We recently had a new AC installed by John and his compatriot Robert. They took care in everything they did and were incredibly detail oriented. You can tell immediately that there is no room for cutting corners or half-assery when it comes to the work they do. We've all dealt with contractors and regretted it almost immediately. Or felt like we didn't get our money's worth for the work performed. Or felt that the level of work and care fell short of expectations. And so on and so on. There's no shortage of these horror stories, we've all got them. I've almost just accepted that it's impossible to be fully satisfied by a contractor given how often they disappoint. UNTIL working with John and Robert. These guys are awesome. Even through the sales portion, it's laid back and not pushy. John won't try to sell you on more than you need and it's not about hiking up the price. He's super patient with people like me that have to think and research and then think some more. These guys show up on time, they work hard to do the job the right way. They don't act like so many of the arrogant contractors, they're actually grateful to have the work. It's blatantly obvious that John knows all of the ins and outs of the HVAC systems he installs and services. A system is only as good as the installer, and I assure you that you won't find much better than Johnny Stubbs. Most of the jobs I hire out leave me handing over money regrettably because I see how it's just a "turn and burn" sort of job where quality takes a back seat to speed. And also, I'm hard to please. I've never felt this feeling of utter satisfaction after a job. These guys do work in a way that I thought didn't exist anymore. They actually give a s**t. You guys, the bottom line is that I can't recommend this company enough, you'll thank yourself and you'll put yourself at ease knowing that you're getting a great deal and top notch service from Johnny Stubbs. I don't even need a new furnace for a few years, but I'm already planning on getting it done just because it's so satisfying working with them.

One of our furnaces stopped working a month ago so I called our old HVAC guy only to find out that he sold his company to a large regional company. The new guys came out and fixed the problem but the cost was pretty high ($2500 for two inducer motors). The technician was nice and friendly but kept strongly recommending I upgrade to a new furnace. A couple of days ago, the same furnace stopped working. The same technician came back and said the overheating would continue because the evaporator coils were dirty and impossible to clean. A replacement furnace would be a better investment rather than another fix (they did offer to apply the first service call cost towards the new furnace). So, the salesman came out and made his pitch. I was startled by the high price (even with the discounts and first service call deduction) but figured I had to do it. At the last minute, I told the salesman I wanted to get a second opinion. Our neighbors had recommended a guy named John so I thought I would call him figuring I'd hear the same pitch. Based on my 5 star rating, you can guess what happened. He said the overheating was not due to the dirty coils (he took a temperature below the coils and above the coils and the difference was minimal) and determined that the gas pressure was too high. He fixed that and everything is working great. On top of all that, when he found out how much I paid for the inducer coils (he would have charged less than $800) he felt bad for us and cut out his labor cost which he absolutely didn't have to do. When the day started, I was looking at paying $11000 for a new furnace. At the end of the day, I paid $79 to John and have a working furnace again. John was professional, honest, and kind and he's the owner of the company! Johnny Stubbs is one of those hidden gem companies that can be hard to find amidst the never ending list of HVAC companies. I'm very grateful that I found Johnny Stubbs and will be using them for any HVAC issues I have in the years to come. I owe my neighbor a big gift for their recommendation.

We had a water softener in our home here in Littleton that started leaking, most likely from when the previous owners installed it. After doing some research online, we picked out a new softener and ordered it. We wanted the installation done right, so we hired a local plumbing company. From the beginning, the team was fantastic. Robert came out to check out our old setup, took some photos, and put together a bid for the work. Once everything was set, they scheduled the installation quickly and arrived right on time. The whole process of removing the old water softener and installing the new one took about five hours, and they even hauled away the old system for us. About a week after the new softener was installed, we noticed a leak in the basement. Even though it wasn’t the plumber’s fault, we called them late on a Saturday night and were surprised to get an answer. Robert was at our door first thing Monday morning and took care of the issue right away. When the leak appeared again, Robert came back and replaced a connector, which seems to have solved the problem for good. It turned out to be a manufacturer issue, but the plumber went above and beyond to make sure everything was fixed. I’ve been checking the area for a couple of weeks, and everything has stayed completely dry. Throughout the whole process, Robert was always responsive and answered my texts, even outside regular hours. They were always prompt, professional, and helpful. We even got a pre-filter added during the final visit. I’m really happy with the work and definitely recommend this plumbing company to anyone in Littleton needing water softener or plumbing services. Excellent job!

I found John Lennon, owner of Johnny Stubb's Mechanical, awesome. I requested two firms to provide me with an estimate and I found the first person to be totally against high efficiency furnaces and he explained to me that it would take years for me to recoup the additional cost. He insisted that the 80% furnace was the correct route and gave me an estimate for $4,900. He further insisted that to get a rebate, you had to hire a firm that Public Service recommended. Fortunately, John was the other firm that I requested an estimate from after I read his outstanding reviews. John is a person that you like from the moment he rings the doorbell. He does not try to impress you with a big sales pitch, but tells it like it is. John offered to install a high efficiency furnace for $4,800. It actually ended up being $4,600 because the unit had a very small dent and John discounted for the dent. In addition to an excellent price for a high efficiency furnace, John provided us with all the paperwork required to receive a rebate from Xcel. The installation was completed in one day and John left at what should have been a day's work for him to go to Thornton to another customer. This guy does not quit. John did return to install the thermostat and make the final adjustments. John completely set up the thermostat to come on and go off at the times we requested. While here, he also corrected our second high efficiency furnace that had been installed incorrectly. Here is my advice: get two estimates so you can see what a great deal you will receive from John. All I can say is if you do not employ John, you are an idiot. Keith C.

My husband tried to install a smart thermostat and we found out we needed another wire connected to our furnace. I googled and tried to schedule with a different company but never got a response. That's when a friend recommended Johnny Stubbs. They were quick to schedule. John came and installed the thermostat, and then went above and beyond. We apparently had a humidifier installed in our house that wasn't up and running. He offered to come back and get us up and running with the humidifier and bring us some new air filters since my husband had not been replacing those as he should have been. We were also talking about Covid and he mentioned the air purifiers on the market. He was informative and there was no pressure at all - he just provided the information I was curious about and encouraged me to do my own research. So I had him come back to get our humidifier up and running and install the air purifier. Our house has never been more comfortable than it has the last few weeks. We should have done this years ago. I do want to say, since I saw a review that said this company wouldn't come back out to fix something, that after the purifier was installed, our air conditioning wasn't blowing cold air, perhaps due to a safety sensor. I called and John came back out quickly to trouble shoot and fixed it at no extra charge. They absolutely seem like they want happy customers and they aren't just trying to get as much money as possible. John is also very informative and takes the time to explain what he is doing and why and I really appreciate that. We are customers for life now and are already recommending the company to others.

This morning, Robert and Braden from Alex & Sons Plumbing paid us a visit to diagnose the cause of our shifting floor, which was suspected to be due to a leak underneath our house. Once under the house, they identified a leak but couldn't pinpoint its exact location. They took the time to explain thoroughly to both my wife and me their planned approach to the problem, which involved meticulously inspecting every inch of the piping. They also gave us a clear idea of the cost involved. I must say, they treated my wife with utmost respect, never dismissing her queries or concerns. They also forewarned us about a few worst-case scenarios and the potential costs of those. As it turned out, the issue wasn't with the pipes at all, but with the bathtub (kids, am I right?). The solution was straightforward and simple. Though they were somewhat embarrassed about the inspection cost considering the simplicity of the solution, they maintained their professionalism and demonstrated their expertise. They spent a good while looking everywhere, and I truly appreciated their thoroughness and professionalism. On top of that, they were genuine, down-to-earth guys with strong values and integrity. They enjoyed sharing stories about their children and their pride in becoming new fathers. They are the kind of people you'd want to invite over to watch a football game with, although I suspect Braden is more into MMA. These guys are fantastic, and I'm genuinely impressed!

After many years of renting, we finally purchased a home in Littleton and had quite a bit of plumbing work done before moving in. Not long after, we had a sudden plumbing issue when water started spraying from under the master bathroom sink while my husband was swapping out some fixtures. The plumber who helped us before had only handled installations, but he recommended another expert. We called a local plumbing service and were pleasantly surprised to get a next-day appointment with just a short two-hour window—much better than waiting around all day like you sometimes do with other companies. Since it was a weekend and we needed emergency help, we were worried the cost would be sky-high. We even had to borrow water from a neighbor to fill the toilets while our water was off. Nolan, the plumber, showed up right on time, quickly figured out what was causing the leak, and even checked to see if he could install our other sink fixture while he was there. He explained every charge on his tablet before starting, including the couple of extra parts we needed. Nolan took care of everything efficiently and was very organized. The best part was that the final bill was much less than we expected—hundreds less! Nolan was professional, friendly, and handled the chaos of kids playing, dogs barking, and phone calls with complete calm. We’ll definitely be calling this company again and will be requesting Nolan for any future plumbing jobs. Highly recommend!

I was in a real pickle with floor repair folks, bug exterminators, and charity collectors all buzzing around at the same time! To add to the chaos, my kitchen sink had been blocked for 2 days, threatening to overflow. I tried everything to fix it - a homemade baking soda mix, plunging, Drano, hot water, sulphuric acid, more plunging, and even got a friend to snake it. But nothing worked. Out of options and at my wit's end, I decided to call a plumber. The bug exterminator recommended a company, saying they were really good. I called them and they were able to schedule me for the same day. In the meantime, the floor repair guy took off the outside cap, and it seemed to work. So, I thought it was fixed and cancelled the plumber. But when I tried to snake and drain it myself from outside three times, I realized it wasn't completely fixed. So, I had to call back and reschedule, and they were surprisingly able to fit me in again. Braden, the plumber, was nothing short of an angel! He was in Littleton in less than an hour, and had my sink drain working in just a few minutes using his tools! He was dressed neatly and was very polite. Braden quickly cleaned up my mess and I was over the moon! The bill was incredibly reasonable. I would highly recommend this plumbing service. They turned a frustrated D.I.Y. lady into a very happy customer. I will definitely be using them again in the future.

I had a plumbing problem at my house in Littleton with our well system. Several other plumbers I reached out to wouldn’t take the job since they don’t handle wells or didn’t know how to deal with the issue. Our water would randomly shut off because air was somehow getting into the pipes. This plumbing team arrived right on time and were very professional, friendly, and clearly knew their stuff. From the moment they got here, I felt I had chosen the right plumbers for the job. Robert quickly figured out what was wrong and explained how they would fix it. They got to work immediately, which was great. In no time, Robert used a metal detector to locate the well, and then Geoffrey and Matthew helped him dig a 4 or 5 foot hole and pull out a 50-foot hose. Geoffrey, who was also very knowledgeable and polite, replaced the foot valve quickly and efficiently. The whole job was finished in just a few hours. After finishing the repair, they even checked over the entire well pump system to make sure everything else was running smoothly. I am extremely happy with the work they did. Their service was friendly, professional, and efficient. On top of that, their pricing was very fair and even lower than another plumbing estimate I received. I’m very glad I called this team and will definitely rely on them for any plumbing needs in the future. Highly recommended!

i am really happy with the plumbing service i received. i hope sharing my experience helps others choose the right plumber. i want to share two great experiences: first, earlier this year, i had a plumber install a whole-home humidifier into my heating system. during one of the visits, i spoke with geoffrey, who was very knowledgeable and friendly. i told him about my son having nosebleeds and dry throat during the winter months. geoffrey suggested installing a humidifier directly into the heating system, since portable ones hadn't worked for us before. after they installed it, my son's symptoms stopped completely—no more nosebleeds or dry lips. it made a huge difference for our family. second, just recently, my water heater stopped working late in the evening. i called and left a message, not expecting a quick response since it was after hours. to my surprise, i got a call back in just a few minutes. they were ready to come out right away, but i scheduled for the next morning. the plumber arrived on time and fixed the water heater smoothly, making sure everything was working before leaving. having a local plumber who responds quickly and cares about customers really makes life easier, especially here in colorado where winters can get pretty cold. i definitely recommend their services to anyone needing plumbing help.
