I highly recommend Courtesy Plumbing and Heating. Eddie and Drew helped us get back up and running after our furnace and hot water tank reached the end. They were efficient, timely, and the price was more than competitive. Great work. Really appreciate it.
Marvin was amazing. He went above and beyond for our family on a very cold winter morning. He was very professional and worked fast with his coworker. I would recommend this company again and again.
This review is specific to a technician working for Courtesy Plumbing. The technician’s name is Kwincii. Our bathroom remodel contractor asked him to do some plumbing rough-in work on our bath/shower. Unknown to us at the time, Kwincii did this work independently outside his working hours for Courtesy. However, the tub pipes and drain were improperly installed (verified by another plumber), resulting in a leaking tub drain and hot water pipe. As a result, we had water damage to our drywall and flooring, had to remove and replace tile, and paid another plumber to fix the work since Kwincii refused to acknowledge fault, fix the problem, or refund money. We are out hundreds of dollars in damage due to his incompetence. While investigating Kwincii for possible legal action, we learned he is on an Apprentice License, and is not allowed under Colorado law to be working unsupervised. We called Courtesy Plumbing and reported his unethical behavior, however we have received no response from this company. A complaint has been issued to DORA to have his license revoked, but that can take months. If you do hire Courtesy, do not allow Kwincii to do any of the work!
Never called me back.
I came to town to take care of my mother, who recently fell and broke a few bones. Within the first week of arriving, we didn't have hot water. I called Affordable to come and take a look. Scott Jeffers and his son were here the next day, and determined we needed a new water heater. They replaced our water heater that day, for a surprisingly affordable rate. Scott and his son were kind and professional, and worked around our mess. The next week, the floor drain in our basement began draining extremely slowly, especially when using the washing machine. For many years, our floor drain has backed up when using the washing machine, to the point where we had to pause the drain cycle several times to prevent a full-on flood. We would usually have to pause the cycle for about 30 seconds to allow the back-up to drain before allowing the cycle to continue, and we'd have to do that about 4-5 times in one drain cycle. But this time, instead of taking 30 seconds, it was taking 7 minutes. I called Affordable again, hesitant, expecting the worst. Ryan Abeta came and cleared out a secondary drain pipe, which seemed to help considerably. Unfortunately, the wire on his machine broke, and he wasn't able to inspect the floor drain. Scott Jeffers and his son came back to finish the job a few days later. They determined that our floor drain had clogged and solidified, likely due to 15+ years' worth of cat litter build-up. They offered us two solutions--the first, a cap on our floor drain that would not allow water to rise but would allow water to drain; the second, jack hammering the cement and replacing the drain. We opted for the cap, given that we'd just purchased a new water heater. Scott and his son didn't have the part on hand, so came back a couple of days later. Unfortunately, the part they'd brought didn't fit our drain, so they went above and beyond and brought a part that would fit later that evening. Now, we have absolutely no issues with our floor drain, and no longer to need to stop the drain cycle mid-cycle to prevent flooding! Scott also provided us a quote for what it would cost to replace the floor drain, which would include jack hammering the floor, replacing the drain, and filling the floor again with cement. Like the water heater, it was for far less than we were anticipating. When we do get ready to replace our floor drain, we will definitely be calling Affordable! Thank you Scott, and thank you Affordable!
I get that this was a large job, but the way this work was carried out was extraordinarily unprofessional and beyond frustrating. The work was shoddy and took months longer than expected, leaving our roommates with no bathroom for months. We started out with a fair quote and with Samuel B as our main POC responsible for this project. The job was supposed to take 4 visits and be completed in just a few weeks. The first visit went well, pipes were installed under concrete and things seemed to be going well. However, we then could not get in contact with Samuel and had an extremely difficult time getting the company to continue with the project. Sometimes someone would be scheduled to show up and we'd get a no show, sometimes people we hadn't seen before on the project would come and be completely confused on what work they were doing. We were confused as to why this was happening- after numerous calls, we found that Samuel was MIA in Texas and no longer working on this project. Work after this first visit was horrible- messy concrete pour, trash everywhere, wrong valve installed, and a shower pan installed so poorly that the pipe ended above the pan and water pooled in the pan. The man who installed the pan seemed extraordinarily confused on the process of how to install a pan and yelled at me about the pan, so I attempted to calm him down by offering to leave work to pick up some new parts at a home depot for him, to which he declined. He also charged the wrong amount for the finished job. The company found this out months later, long after our GC finished the shower and fixed the numerous errors with the shower pan. I'd recommend staying away from this company or adding into the contract/work order that work must be completed within a certain amount of time to avoid issues with missing project leads. Yikes!
I have made two emergency calls to this company, one in June and one yesterday. The June call was to have an estimate on AC installation after a storm took out a 75ft Blue Spruce that landed on top of a shed crushing my Evap cooler and the second was for a Furnace that stopped working. I was taken care immediately on both calls. Jeff provided the estimate for the AC installation in June and couldn't have been more caring about my situation from the storm. He went above and beyond trying to get me help to repair the damage to the side of my home and removal of the evap. cooler. I got lucky, because this company also employs Ryan, a general contractor who truly knew his stuff. He repaired the siding, removed the cooler and reinforced the inside of the shed the cooler had been sitting on. He was very professional and got it all done in less than a day. After calling yesterday for what I thought was an AC malfunction, Marvin, HVAC tech was sent and found my problem to be a worn out furnace fan and motor. He replaced the furnace yesterday working diligently to get it done so I could have my AC back working. He was professional, pleasant and timely. Kristopher, the GM of Affordable Plumbing and Heating, delivered my new furnace. While he was here he found some minor issues with the AC installation done in June and immediately addressed them with me and scheduled a day Marvin could come back. Did I check around for pricing with other companies. No. Did I get second estimates. No. I was so happy with the great customer service I received for beginning to end, that I didn't need to. Then amount of work that was done was time consuming and the pricing was very fair. Kudos to Affordable Plumbing and Heating. I highly recommend.
I bet you’ve never seen a 5-star review when a job has gone wrong…so buckle up! We had Courtesy out to fix a leak in our bathroom this past summer. Well, they missed a spot- and the leak caused some mold damage this autumn behind the wall- which was shared with our only other . Not only did they IMMEDIATELY admit fault (despite the fact that we would not have known it otherwise), but called in all the necessary contractors to remediate the problem and replace both tiled walls. Every professional that was brought in was friendly, polite and hard-working.They even put us up in a hotel for the night we would have been without a shower. The work was finished today and our bathrooms honestly look better than before. Not only that- we never had anything but friendly, warm communication from the business owner. Courtesy is the perfect name for this class act of a business. 6/5 stars!
Awesome team! From the start respectful and understanding not just another customer. We got cut off the same person called me back, as we were setting up the appointment my battery died.. Hour later I called back got someone in the springs he found my info and the previous person had saved my scheduled visit confirmed and waiting to get that last bit of info. Their service tech took the time to be personable.. because let's face it we're all careful when it comes to hiring a company to work on our homes. What I appreciated from start of of the appointment was that they took the time to do it right! Not just quote me and go, if something is important it shouldn't be rushed. Call around make sure you not getting ...., I did and I will call on this honest and respectable company for any future needs! Affordable, a name that means what it says! Thanks again to all of your staff.
I called when I woke up yesterday morning and my basement was flooding. The gal on the phone was super helpful, even though the next available appointment was not till 3 in the afternoon. She promised she'd keep me at the top of the list if there was a cancellation or someone finished early. Thank goodness the technician was running early that day and made it out by 11 am!! He was able to quickly assess what parts of the system were in terrible shape and we chose to go with a new pump. He had the pump in the truck and was able to install the entire thing quickly and professionally. I will be using Courtesy Plumbing and Heating for some of the other HVAC work I need done because I was very impressed with the speed and quality of the work performed.
We answered the door with a facemask and they just walked in without introducing themselves or offering to also put a mask on while in our house during a pandemic. Good news is they protected our carpet by putting boot covers on... They diagnosed the issue in about 2 minutes without even turning the water shutoff valve off. While I was still wearing a mask the technician stood as close to me as possible without touching me and didn't have a mask on still. He handed me a tablet with two quote options which we both over 100% more than every other bid we received for this. I would be careful when considering using them to fix your plumbing issues as I am not sure affordable is what they do.
OMG! Place must be under new management. Millenial management. They used to be perfect. I’d call, set up an appointment and they would be on time as always. Now, I’ve been cancelled to due “scheduling conflicts”. Right! If you don’t have enough people to do the job, then perhaps hire someone and put Down the social media and tik tok videos and do some work. It’s like that everywhere. Young people who just don’t care about anything but their entitlement. I have pets in this awful heat and they just can’t seem to get out here. I’ll be posting a better, more reliable company when I find one
Hi, Nigel kept us informed of his arrival via electronic link. When he arrived, he listened to what had been occurring with the A/C. He went first to the basement and checked things out. He explained how A/C airflow works and how temps can be affected and how frosting can occur. He then checked the unit outside and found it to be performing as it should be. He then explained those things to my wife and answered her questions. We now have peace of mind that the A/C has been checked. Thank you. Mike Walker
Great experience with Courtesy Plumbing and Heat. After going through a few different companies and having bad experience with business’s elsewhere, they were able to help me with my needs and provide great service and quality. After explaining my problems and concerns to the staff members and after the repairs were made the manager Frankie reached out and made sure everything was up to par and working as it should be. Great people and great service. Will be using them for any future needs.
