We had an underground leak at the foundation, and were able to schedule an inspection the next day. Gabe came out and really flexed his experience by quickly locating our issue. He informed us of our options and was able to repair the leak very timely and thoroughly. I’m glad I chose Aaron Plumbing and will be sure to recommend. Many thanks to the service reps and especially Gabe who was very patient and understanding with us!
We recently called Aaron Services and requested Gabe to install a reverse osmosis water system. The installation and overall experience was great. The professionalism and result of this project by Aaron Services / Gabe Jimenez exceeded our expectations. We have used Aaron Services (Water Heater Purchase / Install and other plumbing repairs) requesting Gabe which all have been outstanding. Calling Aaron Services and requesting Gabe has been like having a personal plumber! We recommend Aaron Plumbing Services.
Had to replace a shower pressure balancing valve every couple months for 2 years. I thought maybe the valve in the wall had failed but planned that repair with a full bathroom remodel - which I kept delaying. Then my water heater, which I thought was 18 years old started releasing pressure and overflow water every couple minutes. I thought for sure I needed a new tank. Gabe did an inspection of both items. Instead of busting out my shower to replace the valve and replacing my water heater just because I thought that was the problem, he was honest. My water heater was 6 years old (1 month out of warranty of course) but fine. My shower valve was fine. The issue, my high rise condo towers' main PRV in my unit failed so my fixtures were being crushed under 200 lbs of pressure. In the process of that fix, we discovered my main shut off was only partially working. Aaron Plumbing could have hit me with over $5000 in charges but their honesty saved me $3500, much needed during the holidays and a year under chaotic tariff fueled inflation.
I can't figure out how they get an "Angie's List" endorsement - I called & set up an appointment for a septic tank pumping - done deal - until they called me back later & said they had to cancel because "it would cost too much in gas to come to my house"... ??? I live in Marietta!! If you don't service an area, don't list it on your website.
They like to sell new units...BEWARE! Zero stars are not an option, if so it would be zero. My gas was turned off by the fire department because there was a leak. They determined the leak was at the furnace. I saw the reviews and called Aaron. The technician with Aaron said he could not find a leak and that the unit would need replacing. The technician said he was the supervisor of the service department and had 18 years' experience. The technician told me a new unit would be $3500, we had been without heat for one night already. The unit is 7-8 years old and this information from technician didn't "feel right" to me. I called another company; they came out the same day. The technician found the leak, fixed the leak and the charge was $165. I live in the Buford City limits and the city had to come out to turn the gas back on. They look it over to make sure work was actually done, I told him the story and he knew of the company that fixed it and said yes they are good. He hadn't heard of Aaron and they are located within a few miles, I found that very odd. I wonder now how they have the rating they have here online. I called Aaron and they gave me a refund for the service call. They like to sell new units...BEWARE!
I have found that the septic pumping industry is nothing but a huge scam! No one would come to my house to empty my septic tank in the house I just purchased without an upsell to replace a baffle or fix a drainfield or something else. I have had several people tell me that they would not pump my septic tank, when they are in the business of pumping septic tanks. And the reason, is because I would not let them upsell me something that I did not want. I just wanted my septic tank pumped. Some of the scams I have seen personally.... If you get a manhole cover that would make it easier to get into your septic tank, it's normally 1495. But, if you do it today it's 895. I called another person it was 350. It seems like every single time someone goes into your septic tank your baffle is no good. Oh, and they are not allowed to pump your septic tank unless the baffle is perfect ...because it's the code! What a joke. It doesn't matter if you had a professional plumber there the day before looking at your septic system and then saying, that the baffle is good for another 10 years. And we have added Hydro cement to it and there is no reason for it to fail at a minimum of five years. I was told, that you need to pump from the manhole to get everything in the septic tank. I have seen somebody else come and say after spending $1000 moving pipes around to be able to get to the manhole cover ...we could pump from the 10 x 10 square openings at either end above the baffles. Everyone has a different story. Or are just lazy. I had even had someone call me an asshole on my property because I did not want them to do anything but pump the septic tank. I called and specifically asked them to do the one thing that they are listed to do ...pump the septic tank. Their ads on line all say septic tank pumping $145, $150, $150 plus a $29 service fee. I have seen them say for $400 everything included to just pump the septic tank. Or they say $150 for the first 6 to 8 inches of sludge for 1000 gallon tank. Or they say $400 straight to pump your tank. Or $150 to pump the tank plus a $50 environmental fee, plus $30 per extra hose attachment. All those ads on the Internet that say $150, are all come ons! The purpose is to get them onto your property where they can upsell you something crazy. Like a drainfield redo! For $15,000. I had one company tell me that they need $400 to pump it because they have $120,000 truck and they actually lose money coming down for the listed fee and therefore can't pump your septic tank for $150. So therefore they charge 400. One company made an appointment with me, never gave me a heads up call, and just never showed up after making me sit at my house from morning till night. All I got was, oh we are so sorry! What it was about was that they were not getting their up sell with me, and would not waste their time doing what they advertise. They weren't even courteous enough to tell me that they were not going to come even though they had an appointment. The septic tank industry is the sludge business of the entire world. I have never seen such fraudulent schemes practiced on such a regular basis and to so many unsuspecting people. So, after two weeks of getting the runaround to just have my septic tank pumped, it was nice that Aaron's Services sent Matt down to do just what I have been begging these companies to do for two weeks ....pump the septic tank for the fee listed. Mention my story on Yelp, when you call Aarons services for septic tank pumping. Honesty is a keystone. This is a messy business, and it's nice to find someone that will not try to upsell you something you don't need. Keep your eyes open at all times with the septic tank companies. You should be able to get your septic tank pumped whether it's cracked, or if there's a dead body in there if that's all you want. They're in the business of septic tank pumping ....shouldn't they pump your septic tank if that's what you call them for?! This was a grueling experience! I hope that Aaron's services continues in the vein that they showed me.
As most of you know, it is rare that I give a five star rating. But this company, Aaron Plumbing with headquarters in Suwanee, GA, was probably the most responsive and professional service I've had in a very long time. My water heater decided not to break on Tuesday evening, and I needed someone to come out and see what went wrong. It was roughly around 630 at night when I realized I had no hot water, so I Googled hot water repair services within my community. I called two plumbing services that were "near me" and both services told me I was out of their servicing zone. So I reached out to my neighbor and he gave me Aaron Plumbing's information. Now, but this time it was around 8:30 PM, but I still pick up the phone and gave them a call and a lovely lady answered the phone immediately. Unfortunately, I cannot remember her name, but she was remarkably friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable, and she went ahead and looked at the schedule for Wednesday. She told me that she could have a plumber out to my house between 8am and 12noon and I was excited that she was able to fit me into their very busy schedule. The young man, Tom Page, that came out Wednesday morning was also very kind and efficient. He was able to tell me that my water heater, which was the original to the house, would no longer be working for me, and that I would need a new one. I actually knew that I would need to replace my water heater at some point in time when I bought my home in 2019. But, as always, it's a disappointment even though you know it's going to happen. Tom actually had the correct water heater on hand and within a couple of hours had my water heater completely replaced. You'll see through the pictures below the old unit, and the new unit. When Tom was done with the installation, he walked me through exactly what he had done, he showed me pictures of what had been, and what was now fixed or replaced. We also had a great conversation on how to purge the silt in the bottom of the tank, once a year, to maintain the good health of my brand new water heater. I would certainly recommend Aaron Plumbing to anyone in the northern Cumming area of Georgia, because Dawsonville plumbing and other plumbing facilities located in Cumming, GA do not service my neighborhood.
** UPDATED **I recently had granite counters installed for my elderly parents and needed to have the sink, faucet, and disposal reinstalled. I called Aaron plumbing for an estimate. They will not discuss pricing over the phone and said there would be a $39 charge for the estimate. I agreed to give them a shot based on the reviews read here and other places. I was not at the house when the tech arrived but my parents showed him what needed to be done. The first thing he did was checked the pressure regulator valve, which we did not ask him to check, and nor have we ever had any pressure issues. He said we had a problem and it would be $511 to replace it (note the most expensive pressure regulator valve I could find online was $79). My parents called me and I talked to the tech and asked him to please just quote the sink install as we had requested. He added 5 additional line items to the quote for the sink each between $141 and $235, adding another $938 to the quote for a total of $1449 if we included the $511 pressure regulator valve that the tech "strongly recommended" we change. I asked the tech how long it would take to do the install and he said between 2 and 3 hours. With the exception of the pressure regulator valve, we provided all the parts, so this job was almost all labor. Aaron's labor rate for this job was somewhere between $400 and $700 per hour. I found this appalling and believe the technician was attempting to take advantage of a situation. I did not pay the tech the $39 but instead spoke with the office and expected they would waive the fee based on my experience. They did not and continued to harass me to the point of threatening to put a lien on the home. I will pay the fee to avoid any further hassle, but warn others to be *careful* with this company. I ended up calling another company that quoted $225 to install the sink/faucet/disposal/etc. They came the next day and were in and out in 2 hours flat, and did a perfect job. ** UPDATE ** Received an apology note for not addressing my original complaint, and was also refunded my $39 trip fee.
2/2/17 I received a call last night from a member of management. Extremely apologetic for my experience. She committed to take actions internally to mitigate future occurrences. I was offered a complete refund, but declined as my goal is for Aaron to be wildly successful and learn from the mistakes. 2/1/2017 I truly hate having to do this review. I have been a loyal customer of Aaron for several years and always had great experiences. I have made so many positive referrals. I feel like Aaron failed me at the most critical time with an emergency and worse yet.... management has not called me to discuss the failure of their response. 1/27/2017 I called Aaron Services first thing to request they return to assess the failed repair and make the needed repairs. I was also adamant that I wanted a call back from management that day to discuss their lack of response to my emergency last night. Management never called me. I called back to Aaron services later in the day and did receive a call back from a lady explaining that they were researching and would contact me when they had more facts. A different technician was dispatched and made repairs with Copper and Brass fittings instead of PVC and the repair has lasted as of this update. 1/26/2017 I went downstairs to the basement and heard water spraying. The repair that was made had failed and water was all over my basement floor and many personal items stored in this room. i immediately called the number for Aaron Services at 8:24 PM with my emergency need to have them come and turn the water off at the street and make repairs. the call center took my request and escalated the ticket. Over an hour later and after several of my call backs asking for an ETA, I received a call from a person informing me they were still trying to locate a person to respond. I told them to cancel the call as I had made contact with Fulton County to send a truck to my house instead. 1/25/2017 A technician repaired a minor leak on my main water line in the basement. I had the usual great experience and customer service.
If I could give a negative star , I would. I called Aaron's plumbing to check a toilet that was stopped up. I informed them that I'd had this problem for years and wanted it to be throughly inspected. I told him that previous plumbers had said that it was something down there preventing the logger from advancing and that I just wanted to see what it was. The plumber arrived and see wipes located in the restroom and saif that was the problem. I informed him we did not flush wipes and he insisted that we did. He flushed the toilet 2-3 times, then left. I called and voiced my displeasure and they sent the same person back out and I explained that they stated that he would put a camera down and check ( that never happened.) He finally got the logger that he insisted he used the first time ( which never happened either. ) He said that it got stuck and that hadn't happened the other day and that there was a toy stuck in the toilet because he seen that I had a young child. I told him that my child is not allowed in the bathroom alone. He kept insisting that this was the problem while I told him I could guarentee that there was not a toy in my toilet. I finnaly got frustrated and said ok, and he left. I then called another plumbing company who came out and did an excellent job! The company cam and put a camera down my toilet and found that the cap of the pipe had been dropped in it when the house was constucted and that was causing the blockage. This is why the loggers were getting stuck and could not advance. Theis would definately have occured if he'd actually done it the first time as well. Never will use this service again! I would advise that if you are looking for service , look elsewhere! Not only were they expensive, they were useless!
Kenny Black fixed a major issue I was having with a water pipe leak under my driveway. The hoa called plumber cut 2 holes in my driveway and fixed 2 holes in the pipe over the course of a year. The second one wasn't under my driveway but the hoa plumber cut another huge hole in my driveway anyway and I got charged another ~2500 - this was without even putting concrete in the hole. Unbelievable. The area was still wet and got worse. I told the hoa plumber to go away when he came with a sledgehammer the third time. I started doing my own research to find an ethical and competent plumber. I found Kenny at Aaron's. Kenny inspected the issue, clearly explained what was going on with a pipe from the street being problematic for all that used it and that the only way to really resolve is to replace this pipe. This was a refreshing relief from the fix the leak only approach by the hoa plumbing co that was, knowingly, never going to resolve the root cause but, would be revenue generating for them. The bad pipe that was replaced, only about 10 feet, was inches from the original leak a year ago. Replacing the pipe was not even an option provided by the hoa plumber and no estimate was ever received by me from this plumber. Still the hoa management company had them proceed. The work was completed by Kenny and I am no longer having nightmares about this problem. I know that Kenny resolved the root cause. I can't say enough good things about Kenny and Aaron's. Ethical, honest, competent, and fair pricing. All the things missing from prior experience here.
We have used Aaron plumbing before. There work was good so we called them again. We needed two faucets repaired, one on the bathroom sink and one on the tub. The job consists of removing the faucets, removing and replacing the cartridges and reinstalling the faucet handles. I even provided the plumber with the part numbers and a complete explosion diagram from Moen. There is no "under sink" type work needed. I actually repaired the sink handle once myself. The cost should be about $20 for the parts and it should take about a half hour for a professional. Even at a full hour and more for the parts it wouldn't cost more than $40 or take more than 1 hour. The estimate was $715!! For that outrage I still had to pay the $59 service fee. They waive the fee if you have work done. Now I can understand why. Several hours after writing this review I received a call from Aaron during which they agreed that the estimate I was given was too high. After further review they revised the quote to the mid $400's. They also voluntarily agreed to refund the $59 service fee. I appreciated their effort to provide good customer service. Unfortunately, we still disagree on what is an appropriate fee for the parts and labor for this fairly minor repair. See also the review by Jonathan C. We agree that the quality of the work is fine but the charges are not reasonable.
The faucet in our 1/2 bath in our 2 year old house stopped working. Started as a trickle of water, then no water at all. No other issues...just this one sink. We called Aaron Plumbing on Saturday and scheduled an appointment for Monday morning. The technician was on time and friendly, but his visit was completely useless. He was unable to identify the problem, much less fix it. He did not even look at the faucet. He said the problem could be one of a few things, but he didn't have any parts on his truck to fix any of the potential issues. He suggested a whole new faucet for $800+. He basically drove to our house, said he could not fix our issue, and charged us $59. We told the service advisor what the problem was when we called to make the appointment. Why wouldn't the technician come prepared to fix it? Complete waste of our time and money. UPDATE: We called another plumber to fix our faucet. When we told him the problem, he immediately said "it sounds like you have a clogged aerator." He then told us which tool to use (which we had, but didn't know its function) to fix it. So, this company was able to troubleshoot and advise over the phone, but Aaron's guy was not able to do that with an in-person service visit.
So I need some service to my A/c system, I'm not a pro but I know it's low on Freon. (It still works just not blowing ice cold) My house is new, and the system is under warranty. I explained to the tech John, and he insisted he charge me $161-$261 per hour for the leak test. I told him numerous times I do not want that because the company who installed the system 13-15 months ago will fix it for free but they don't have any appointments available until the end of the week which I already have scheduled. I simply asked him to add Freon and fill the system as I will get it fixed later this week. He refused to do what I asked. I don't know if it was because he wanted to make money on the job and if he couldn't he wasn't going to do anything. Needless to say I doubt I will ever call this company again or refer them. Before I scheduled the appointment I asked About their fee's, service visit etc to make sure I covered all the basics before I agreed to have them come out. There clearly was some confusion as to what's included and I spoke to a manager and she said she would honor what was told to me. That's the only reason I didn't give 1 star as her customer service was good but John ultimately earned the poor review.
This company is way over priced. I service all three of the units on my property to the best of my abilities but when its out of my scope I call the experts. Even after confirming to the tech that there was nothing wrong with the coil and he visually confirming that a 12'' section of 3/4 pipe on the low pressure side on the outside of the coil with bad brazed connections and oily fluid all over the pipe and most likely a tiny leak that was not easily seen even with a testing solution he used. He still insisted on inspecting the coil. He noted that if he needs to continue looking It would be an additional charge. Do not remember the exact number but was over $400. After a few pics, confirming the coils integrity and that the section of pipe was most likely the source of the leak, he called his office and quotes me $1800, my exact words " HELL NO ". I was still charged $89, what a waste of time and money. On a good note I contacted Season's Comforts, a representative came out today quoted me $450 for the exact same job. Inspection and pictures took less than 5 minutes, I was told tech would be out hear at 2:00 today to repair my unit. They also do free estimates
