I contacted several plumbers to replace old galvanized pipe that had failed. No one wanted to go under the house, cut out the old and replace with new piping. Nick was willing and did a great job working in some very tight spaces. I've used A-1 American in the past and will use them again in the future.

A-1 was able to replace my compressor faster and cheaper than other services in the area! They did not require me to pay for their own diagnostic, like every ither service I called, and they were able to work with me on payments for the repair rather than try to get me to finance a new unit. Outstanding service!

​I had a fantastic experience with A-1 American after my water heater went out 3/22/2026 Sunday. My home warranty company was closed at the time, but once I was able to file the claim on Monday, they allowed me to select an out-of-network provider. I am so glad I chose A-1 American! ​They were able to send a technician, Nicholas B, out the same day (Monday) I called (within a few hours). Nicholas was professional, informative, and incredibly patient throughout the entire process. Before he could even begin the work, he had to speak with my warranty company for authorization. We ended up on hold for nearly an hour waiting for a representative, but Nicholas never once seemed frustrated. Instead, he kept up a friendly conversation and made the wait much easier. ​Once the work was confirmed for the water heater replacement, he quickly picked up the necessary parts and got straight to multiple hours of solo work. He was efficient and kept a very tidy workspacethere weren't parts scattered everywhere, and he left the area spotless when he was finished. ​I could not be more pleased with the same day service and the quality of the work. I would highly recommend A-1 American and Nicholas B to anyone in need of reliable service!

Horrible experience, do not recommend. Technician spent 20 minutes diagnosing the problem, charged me over $400 because he looked at 2 units. which was much more than quoted to me over the phone when I made the appointment. Technician should have been transparent when is signed the work order about waiving the 3 day cancelation. Like a dummy i signed because I misread and thought i had 3 days to cancel. He just said sign here, here, and here. He told me the replacement parts and work would cost 18k to have my gas-pack replaced. My realtor told me to get another quote from another company because it sounded high. I did ask the tech about the price of the parts and he to told me he was not privy to that information. He had to run outside twice to make phone calls to the company, probably teying to figure out how much they could take me for. I got a quote from another company and the price was less than half of what I was quoted. I called the company and they said they could only do a partial refund due to the signed contract. Still on the hook for 4k, still cheaper to go with another honest, transparent company. I feel ripped off and taken advantage of because my husband wasn't there. This company claims to support the military and as I military family I am very disappointed with this company.

I needed emergency repairs after two frozen pipes burst, and A1 American Plumbing came through when it mattered most. Nick did an excellent job—he showed up at night, quickly found the source of the problem, and fixed it efficiently. His professionalism, knowledge, and calm approach were incredibly reassuring during a stressful situation. Thanks to his fast work, I was able to relax and actually get some sleep that night knowing the issue was resolved. I’m very grateful for the service and would highly recommend A1 American, especially Nick, for any emergency plumbing repairs.
