Worst experience with a plumber ever. If you are reading this, just move on and pick someone more qualified. I needed evaluation on a main waterline to be moved. This dude didn't do his due diligence and dig far enough to realize I already had a waterline in the same path. Over 4k later and more in damages to my yard and he tells me sorry.

My neighborhood's maintenance staff (Rising View) hired Five Star to come out and fix a leak from the shower drain in my house. When they came to work on it, they snaked the shower and both toilets. The staff member accused me of flushing cat litter down my toilet, something I have never done, and then showed me a picture of the "cat litter" in my drain. It wasn't cat litter. It wasn't even the right color. The staff then decided they were done working because they couldn't recreate the leak. They dumped what they had snaked from my drain in my front yard by my rose bushes. After they left, the entire downstairs of my house smelled like literal shit and there were water puddles on the floor of my bathroom, a bathroom that wasn't even affected by the issue to begin with. They left my house smelling terrible, fixed "problems" that weren't even problems to begin with, and made a terrible mess I was left to clean up.

Jose is a con artist who takes advantage of older women. My mom did not have hot water. He came and immediately up-charged me because he said he had to crawl under the house to get to the plumbing. So the $75 fee instantly increased to $175. OK, let's continue. There was a leak which he basically screwed on a little pipe to stop it, $250. Awesome, but then he goes to the water heater and fumbles around with it (there was no hot water). I didn't know at the time because I'm not the professional, but what he did was pull out what I now know to be the heating element. It looked like a rusty piece of iron or something. He put it back fumbled with the elements again, closed it up. When I tried the water I told him it wasn't hot. He told me it would take a couple of hours for the water heater to heat up water. Next day still no hot water. He then sent out another guy and changed the element and charged another $175. He's a dishonest crook!! He got 2 stars because he put a bandaid on the leak. Then I find out from a honest plumber that he didn't have to crawl under the house, he did have to get down low but once inside, its plenty of room to get on your knees and maybe even a short person to stand. Thanks alot! Definitely not 5 stars in my book and he took advantage of my Mom and I!!! Bad business!!!

I would not recommend this company at all! Called them two weeks ago and had them put to unclog a drain that exploded out the basement toilet I paid $195 to have it cleaned and sure enough two weeks later we've got water shooting out the basement toilet again. I called and they told me there is no guarantee they just cleared the line, had they ran a camera they'd know the root issue. I was never given the option to run a camera or explained anything other than there is a blockage. My husband wasn't home and I am always Leary of quality of work when a woman is the client and paying. Besides that, we aren't handy people and wouldn't even know what questions to ask about cameras and root issue, we had a blockage and trusted what we thought were experts. $195 for nothing! And the same issue all over again TWO weeks later. Lame and terrible waste of money!

5 Star Plumbing and Drains was a life saver! Jose evaluated my malfunctioning tankless water heater as a 2nd opinion. He quickly managed to reinstate my warranty (that the 1st opinion plumber had voided due to misinformation). And within 24 hours, Jose correctly diagnosed the problem, secured an expensive part overnight at no charge, and fixed the issue at a fraction of what I had originally been quoted by another highly rated company. Jose with 5 Star Plumbing will now be my "go to" guy for everything plumbing! I highly recommend him to anyone needing an honest, professional and efficient plumber.

Jose and his team were awesome. I had to get my entire house replumbed and it was right before Thanksgiving. We weren't expecting this but it had to be done or we would end up with more leaks inside the house (a pipe burst under the house, in the foundation). Didn't think I'd find anyone but they were able to schedule the job and finish it before Thanksgiving. They were courteous, professional, and very communicative, and answered all of my questions. Financing was also available, which is a huge plus, since this was a big job. I highly recommend 5 Star Plumbing.

We called needing a sewer line cleared and Jose was able to come to our Valrico home the same morning. Our decision to call 5 Star was based upon a 5 Star rating with 305 reviews. Jose and Hayden were exactly as the reviews stated about them. They were professional, knowledgeable, timely and explained exactly what they would do and provided an estimate range. The work was completed in a timely basis with no mess and at the estimate d cost. We highly recommend 5 Star!

I have used this plumber for over 5 years. Five Star has always done an exceptional job for me. They recently installed a new dishwasher in a very tight space. When my old dishwasher died I tried to get it repaired because all of the stores were out of stock. The dishwasher repair person could not do the repair for me because the flooring was in the way and he couldn't access the dishwasher. Five Star figured it out. Yay ! Thank you Five Star Plumbing !

I messaged my friend and asked for a suggestion for a plumber for my elderly parents and she gave me 5 Star Plumbing! Jose was amazing! He tried his best to walk me through the problem on the phone but in the end we needed him to come out after hours. He was able to diagnose the problem, clear out all the lines and get the water back working in the whole house. Thank you Jose for saving the day! We will definitely use him for any future plumbing needs!!!

José is awesome. The guy helped me out in a pinch. I called him late last night and was having some low pressure issues after self installing a water filtration system in my house. Rather than taking advantage of my moment of panic He talked me through step-by-step on how to self diagnosed and then had to fix the problem. Not what you would expect nowadays, but if I ever have any other plumbing needs, he’ll be the first guy I call.

After nearly getting SCAMMED FOR $43000 to replace all of our cast iron pipes that were "cracked, broken or collapsed", we called Five Star for a second opinion. They snaked our drains to clear the obstruction and camera-ed our pipes and saw no problems. We have had no problems since Five Star took care of us. The first company had offered usa "free" Halo water system and a "free" water heater.

Got a plumbing problem these are the folks to call. They were out promptly to fix my bath supply line leak. They arrived ready, made necessary repairs and cleaned up afterwards. Couldn’t be happier that I called 5 Star! 2 weeks later my HW Heater goes out and I call on Jose with 5 Star Plumbing. He came out quickly and now all good with our new Hw Heater.
