Can’t say enough about this company! He came recommended by my sister, and did major plumbing at my moms. We were hearing water running when we had nothing turned on?? Julio, (the owner), came in right away and after checking everything, gave us an estimate on Repiping our home, (which was way over due). During the repipe they found we as well needed sewer pipe replacement, which we were not thrilled with. But after showing us photos, and actual leaky pipes, we needed to get it done as well. His team of plumbers, were Extreemly polite, considerate. Worked in sync, lot’s of communication the whole time. Julio, checked in on everything, equipment, pipe fittings, the digging process, always asking us if everything was ok!! They taped off where they were working, cleaned it all up at night, and then put it back up to protect our home. Sorry that I’ve gone on and on, I could say a lot more. But Illyend it with this…….We highly recommend Shark plumbing. We have dealt with a lot of contractors, and these guys are the tops. A company that I feel you can truly trust and appreciate the work that they do. They went above and beyond!!!!

I have to say that shark took care of my my water pipe emergency in three days. I called them on Saturday and he responded that same night. He couldn't come Sunday because it was raining but as soon as it stopped raining his crew went to work. They did an excellent job and replaced all my 75 year old pipes. I'm very happy with there work and how quickly they were able to get it done. I would definitely use them again and recommend them for all your plumbing needs.

It never fails how your house decides for an emergency right at a big holiday. Our 65 year old plumbing line from the water main to the house gave way and was leaking water from under our landscaping, down our driveway, and into the street Wednesday late afternoon before Thanksgiving. I googled emergency plumbers in our area. Luckily, Julio (Shark Plumbing) was nearby and was able to come by in 10 minutes. It was a substantial project to replace the line with copper pipe and would entail digging a trench through our front landscaping. He was knowledgable and able to give us a detailed explanation of the job and relevant codes. Julio gave us a fair quote for an emergency job and told us that it would look like he was never there. I was thinking, 'we shall see.' He connected a bypass Wednesday evening to stop the leak and let us have water. Then 8 am Thanksgiving morning he came out with his crew and started digging. They were organized and moved the mulch and garden drips, dug the trench to have minimal impact to my plants. They got everything dug (heavy wet clay) and the pipe laid before only turning off the water for the final connections. We were only without water for about 2 hours. He was great with communication and his crew were hardworking, clean, and worked with minimal disruption to us. I was cooking a turkey inside. When they were finished around 3 pm, I was amazed at how my front yard looked. They did indeed put it back together as if they were never there. They took all garbage away with them. The copper front connections looked great. They even repaired the small drywall that they had to cut open to run the connection into the garage. My experience with Shark plumbing was extremely positive and I only have praise for their work and professionalism. They saved our Thanksgiving. I appreciated their work and hope they were able to spend the evening with their families.

Way overpriced,tried to tell me 2300, for a new water heater, because it was a Saturday,even though they open 24hrs a day,,but would do it for 1900,if i paid cash,,,,,,

Bottom line: I will DEFINITELY be calling Jose and Blue Shark if I have other plumbing-related issues in the future, and I hope you will too. You won't be sorry. He got me out of an emergency right away, on a HOLIDAY no less, and he DID NOT EVEN CHARGE ME FOR THE DISPATCH! (Read on for details...) If you want more details: Today, July 4th, my washing machine had a problem for the first time. It flashed an error message that I needed to call for service. The more serious problem was that even when I turned it off, the water kept flowing, at full flow, into the machine. So, I was really afraid that the water would flow non-stop and either end up flooding my garage or, at least, result in an insanely high water bill. Obviously I didn't just want to turn off the water to the house since I still needed to cook, run the dishwasher, etc. I called Blue Shark, which I had never used before, and Jose answered right away and was super friendly and helpful. He said he could come out quickly, and he quoted me an estimate based on the problem I described, while also saying he would not charge me anything just for the dispatch. (Wow!) I texted him my address, and he responded right away that he would be there in about 35 minutes. (Blue Shark is in Hayward; I live in central Fremont.) Jose showed up on time, and he was extremely polite, friendly, and professional. In about five minutes, tops, he said he was sure the problem was with the washing machine, not the pipes, and that most likely it was a broken sensor. I asked him if he could fix that, but it is not a problem he deals with. He said I would need to call the manufacturer for service or that I would just need to buy a new machine. However, he did manage to turn the water off to the machine, which was the immediate issue I was worried about. I then asked Jose if he preferred me to pay him by check or card. He said he WAS NOT CHARGING ME! Granted, it turned out not to be a plumbing issue, and he was only here a few minutes, but still--he drove here right away from Hayward, and he also diagnosed the likely issue with my washing machine. I wanted to at least pay Jose for his time and trouble, so I asked if I could pay him $100. He replied that he still did not expect payment, but when I asked again, he said "I don't want to give you a price." I asked if he took Venmo or PayPal, but he does not, and unfortunately we are currently out of checks. So, I gave him all the cash I had on me, which I am embarrassed to say was only $45, because I truly did appreciate his professionalism and his time. I am also grateful he did not charge because I am probably going to have to buy a new machine, or at least pay a few hundred to get the sensor replaced. Additionally, I also had to pay almost $4000 (yep, that's 4K, not $400) to repair my car only about a week ago...so, Jose really helped me and my family out. Again, I will be calling Jose and Blue Shark if I have other plumbing-related issues in the future, and I hope you will too. You won't be sorry.

Blue Shark Rooter and Plumbing will be our go-to plumber from now on. I called them a little before 9am this (Fri) morning to help unclog our kitchen sink and they picked up the phone right away and came within 1.5hr (I think they had another call to respond to before mine and it took a little bit longer than they anticipated). They are very quick and responsive with text messaging too. They were very professional, friendly, and no nonsense about their job. They quoted me $195 before even looking at our set up or diagnosing the problem (our normal trusted and reasonable handyman was going to charge us $300). They even took off their shoes without being asked to enter our (Asian) household. The sink seemed to be more difficult to clog than expected, but they didn't complain or increase the quote. They had to rush off to their next appointment in Walnut Creek and they sent me an invoice later that afternoon trusting that I would pay them for their services later. I also liked that I could pay them through Zelle. Another thing we really appreciated is that when we asked them to do a couple extra things on our sink with some of their special tools, even though they had to run off to Walnut Creek for their next appointment and couldn't do it before leaving, they were kind and generous enough to come all the way back here to Castro Valley to do that simple 15min task at no extra charge. The problem we encountered in our house was huge. More and more problems keep adding up almost everyday. One of the major resolutions was repiping. I don't know anyone or not familiar with any company. I read reviews of 3 companies, and I based my choice by these reviews and star rating. Shark Plumbing had 5 stars and Julio is the owner. I chose this company, and the business relationship began. It was a huge journey with ups and downs due to more problems in our house that were being uncovered as the work went on. Julio is a great partner all the way, who gave his support, professional advise, and has a crew of trusted workers. In its entirety, the huge project was a learning curve for us, from the beginning to the end and even after the job was done. Julio was always there, physically, and answers phone and texts promptly. Julio is courteous and respectful. He is professional and always try to be composed even in the middle of stressful situations. He understands and is considerate. The professional fee is reasonable.It is good to know that a good, healthy relationship was established, and now I know someone I can call and go to when it comes to plumbing.

We noticed some plumbing issues - such as pipes rattling when water dispenses from the bathroom faucet. Our contractor sent out some other plumbing company and they made the problem worse. We then called Blue shark and scheduled an appointment. Robert was great in understanding and diagnosing the exact problem. He has a lot of knowledge and skills on plumbing. He made a few changes and was working for multiple hours to get the issue addressed. Robert came out and installed a water hammer arrester in the crawl space which was a very difficult task to do. He also noticed that the street water main to my home had a water pressure of 80. This should normally be at or below 60, per Robert. This was repaired and now the water pressure is contained - hopefully preventing any damage to the water pipes. He also helped fix 2-3 leakages that would have got unnoticed and help us get them fixed. He even got the damaged dry wall cut out to avoid further water damage. We noticed a small pipe twist caused leakage after he left for the day and he was kind enough to come back immediately and fix it for us. I would highly recommend Robert for any of your plumbing needs.

I had a clogged sewer line at 6:30pm at night. I called 6 different plumbers and they all were unavailable until the next morning, or didn't answer at all. The ones that answered me, quoted me approximately $350 for clearing the line. Jose answered the phone on the first ring, was already in town and said he would be over within 15 minutes and give me a free estimate. He showed up on time, diagnosed the problem within 10 mins, outlined my options, with price, and potential outcome per option. All under the inflated costs I was given by the competitors that couldn't come out tonight. Jose solved the problem and got things flowing. He also identified that the issue was with the general system design and would likely cause more problems down the road and provided suggestions to remedy the future issues at an affordable rate. He also suggested I have the contractor who put in the system inspect it to confirm that his suggested solution was the right choice. I asked him what his hours were, and his response was "you're my customer, I'll come anytime, any day!" The nicest guy ! Also bilingual !! Blue Shark will be my first choice for all of my properties !

Great service! Reasonable price. Sent text and photo message regarding toilet tank problem and wanted to consult my tub faucet large gap issue between wall and fixture installed decade ago by another plumbing service repairman. Jose replied right away on a Sunday night message and scheduled appointment the following day. I was notified first before driving to my place and gave me ETA. After testing the faucet, switching from spout to shower spray , discovered faulty sticky lever and we both agreed it's time to replace the faucet. Jose installed it flushed to the tiled wall and sealed it with silicone caulk. The gap issue is now fixed and no leak sipping into the wall. The faulty toilet fill valve was also replaced. Jose showed me the removed old part and tested the new fill valve. He adjusted the waterline height according to my request versus his recommended height to reduce water usage. He made this customer happy!

Not knowing who to call my husband read the reviews and decided to call Blue Shark Rooter and Plumbing. Jose was the best and gave us an estimate and we set up an appointment. Jose sent Ceasar to get things started. He arrived right on time. After assessing the situation, it was decided we needed a new unit. Ceasar took care of taking the old unit out and he and Jose installed the new unit. Jose went over the new unit with us. What a team. They were very professional and hard working. Jose knows how to take care of his customers. We chose the right company for the job and we would not hesitate to call them again if we ever need a plumber. We couldn't ask for better service. I agree with all the 5 star ratings for Blue Shark! I had a severely clogged kitchen drain at 430pm, and when I called for service, Jose was the only plumber immediately available out of 5 that I called. Everyone else wanted to do next day... Jose came by within 30 minutes of my call and he was friendly, knowledgeable, and careful with his inspection. He took off his shoes when entering the house, which was appreciated. He unclogged the drain pretty quickly, (even with all of my old house issues) and was able to loosen and remove all the grease trapped in the pipe. The drain hasn't drained this fast and clear in YEARS. Cost was reasonable and work guaranteed for 2 months. Appreciate all the hard work, immediate service, and successful completion of the job. I'll be using Blue Shark going forward. Way better than all the plumbers I've used in the past. Thanks Jose!

Jose was GREAT! I posted my project on Yelp on a Saturday morning and within ten minutes I received a text and phone call from Jose. I had a 50 gallon hot water heater that had a trickle leak with water gradually spreading into my den (my hot water heater is located in a closet in my den). Although another company responded first their ETA was roughly one hour whereas Jose was at my house within half an hour of speaking with him. Jose provided an estimate that I agreed upon with a promise to complete the work the same day. The total time from my initial call to work completion was just under five hours. The Blue Shark team was courteous, clean and efficient. And they hauled my busted water heater away too! We had a toilet overflow in our two bathrooms. Looked on Yelp and found "Blue Shark Rooter & Plumbing". A person named Jose answered my call. I explained our situation, and said he could be at our home in about 20 minutes; which he did. He checked where the plumbing ended, which was at the front of the house. For some reason the cap was glued. It was so hard to get it off, but he did. After he checked the pipe, he was able to free up the line. Jose spent about 40 minutes to do the job. I asked him how much do we owe you...he said "no charge" because he wasn't here for long. We were just amazed! He answered my called right away. He was at our home within 20 minutes. He fix the problem quickly, and ALL for free. Without a doubt...I will be calling "Blue Shark Rooter & Plumbing" when and if I ever need a plumbing...Thank you so much Jose...
