I had a water line break in a terrible spot under my house. You couldn't reach it from the crawl space and there was only a 20" hole in the foundation to access this pipe. Tyler came out in a Sunday and worked most of the day to fix it, but when the line repressurized, I went from having a small leak to a broken pipe. He told me that he was confident he could fix it but he needed a tool and some fittings he couldn't get till in the morning. He came back out Monday morning and worked till about one o'clock, but when he was done, I was leak free and the job looked good. The thing that really impressed me about Tyler was his attitude. It was a horrible job in a horrible space with horrible working conditions(it was between 35⁰ and 40⁰ outside and once the pipe broke, he was working in a mud hole). I said, "For whatever it's worth, I'm sorry you got this job, but I'm glad you're here." He said, "It's just a job. We'll get it done, and for whatever it's worth, I'm sorry I couldn't get it fixed for you on Sunday." If you need a plumber, give 1-Tom-Plumber a call. They'll get you taken care of. Thanks again, Tyler.

Tyler was extremely professional and went out of his way to assist me on a weekend with snow, ice, and frigid temperatures. Cannot thank him enough and highly recommend his services.

I called to confirm a quote first thing in the morning and Matt and Tyler, we're able to be at our property at 1pm and had the whole new water heater install completed by 5:30. Additionally they upgraded our 40 gallon tank to a 50 free of charge as the 40 was unavailable on the day! Great, fast service and everything is working brilliantly. Thank you both we will definitely use 1-Tom-Plumber again!

5 Stars for the pre-appointment communication and the professionalism of your technician Joseph "Rooky" Duncan. And your Service Vehicle looks great too! Nice wrap job! However, I wasn't hiring you for your service vehicle graphics! 0 Stars for $$$. I had already removed my toilet, cleaned up the old wax ring, identified, and fixed the issue. All I needed was the toilet "reinstalled"..."professionally". I even supplied a new Wax Ring and a new braided connector hose. They wanted $379 for a 15-20 minute job and I was supplying all the hardware! I reached out to a local licensed plumber that I was referred to, and he did it for $100 & I gave him a $25 Tip! Saved me $250! Lesson learned, get an estimate over the phone before you have them come out and "blind side" you!

DO NOT HIRE! STAY AWAY! (Read More...) I hired this company to fix a leak in a toilet at my Airbnb. The plumber came out, removed the toilet from the floor, located the leak, and charged me around $400 to repair it. That part was fine. The real issue came afterward. Without telling us in advance, the plumber left the property with the toilet completely removed from the floor, sitting unattached in the bathroom. The leak was fixed, but the toilet was left out of the ground, and the bathroom was unusable. We only discovered this after he had already left. Because we had Airbnb guests arriving that weekend, this put us in an impossible position. A bathroom without a functioning toilet is not something we can offer guests, and canceling the reservation would have cost us money and impacted our listing. When we called to ask why the toilet was left out, we were told the floor had been damp underneath it. But we were also told the toilet itself was fine and the leak had been repaired; it had simply not been reinstalled. To get it reinstalled, we were quoted an additional charge of roughly $800. So we ended up in a situation where a plumber removed the toilet to fix a leak, left it disconnected without any warning, and then the only way to make the bathroom functional again before guests arrived was to approve a second large charge just to put the toilet back in like they should have done to begin with. It did not feel like we had a real choice. It is clear they have no issue price gouging their customers. The billing process added more frustration. The invoice they sent afterward was blank with no amounts filled in. I was told I needed to calculate the totals myself, which was confusing and not something I've ever been asked to do by a contractor. When I couldn't complete it in time due to the missing information, I received an email warning that they were threatening to put a lien on my property if I didn't pay ASAP. That was stressful and surprising given the circumstances. My main concern is how this was handled: the toilet being left out of the ground without warning, followed by a separate $800 charge to simply reinstall it, which I had assumed would be part of the visit since removing it was necessary for the leak repair. Combined with the invoicing issues, it made the entire experience much more difficult than it needed to be. I hope the company reviews how situations like this are handled going forward. I would appreciate a reassessment of the charges, and I am sharing this so others are aware of my experience. If you want to reach out to me so I can refer you to other contractors that do amazing work that I have found since, please do so... Scott Krees on Facebook. Best, - Scott

I had a leak on a half inch pipe under my house. 1Tom sent a plumber out and replaced the 8 inch section of half inch per and charged me 749 dollars for 30 minutes of work. They left without checking to see if there were any other leaks. A few hours later, I noticed water draining from under my house. I asked 1 Tom to come out and honor their work. I found another leak not far from the first one. They came out the next day and wanted to charge me another 600 dollars to replace another small piece of half inch pex pipe. They would not honor their work. I told them that we were retired and didn't have that kind of money and they needed to honor their work. They refused and I asked them to leave. I would never recommend 1 Tom Plumbing and I'm cautioning everyone to be careful using this company.i In my dealings with them, they weren't trustworthy and they overcharge for their work. Response to Mike the owner: Please stop telling lies on your response to my post. Your plumber did not look at the water meter after he worked on one leak. If he had looked at, he would have seen the water meter operating because there were 2 more leaks that he failed to find. Own up to your poor performance and extraordinary high price gouging. If I had stuck with you, I could have lost close to 2 thousand dollars. You and your company are highway robbers who prey on older people when they have small plumbing problems. You should be ashamed of your lying and over priced services. I hope the public finds out about you and your methods used to rip people off!

(Greenville, SC) THIS IS THE VERY FIRST REVIEW I HAVE EVER WROTE. We had leaks in both upstairs bathrooms. One was a leaky toilet, and the other was a leaky cut off valve. So, we call them to take a look at them. We have an older house & I was going to get them to change the cut off valves in both upstairs bathrooms and the wax rings for both toilets. One of the showers need the hot & cold handles & valves replaced. So, we had them come & give us an estimate. When they showed up my wife wanted them to also do the wax ring & cut off valve for one of the bathrooms downstairs. So, he starts downstairs & we told him what we want done. I was thinking 4 to $500, he worked up an estimate of $1,650. We were going to get done anyway but the issue is, when he told us the copper pipes will eventually have pinhole leaks in them so, he offered to replace them for $2800. Like I said earlier, we have a 50yr old house and all our pipes are copper. So, he thought we should pay him $2800 + give them the copper I estimate @ 8 to $9000 worth of copper. That was a red flag. Please get a second opinion when using these guys. I got this great guy named Honest John to do it for half the price $1400 + all the copper.

What a blessing to be referred to 1-Tom-Plumber. I texted them at 11:30 pm. by 6:45am I received a text that they can be out by 8am to estimate the repair. Mark was right on time. we explained we couldn't afford to make major repairs, but we need our water functioning. by 9:30am Heath arrived and got right to fixing the issue. We were made aware our plumbing system is outdated, and the repair is a temporary fix. but we are grateful they were willing to help get water back into the home. We did ask for an around about cost for replacing everything. so, in the future this will be a project we will let 1-Tom-plumber handle. The issue we had was our water meter was flooded. we called Huntsville utilities and was told it is our fix since it fell on our side of the property. We had a plumber come out and they made us aware that we have a crack in the line. 24 hours went by, and nothing was done by that plumber. so, we made a Facebook post asking for suggestions on plumber and I am thanking God that 1-Tom-Plumber was suggested. Thank you again for us crossing paths with them, and their professional customer services. A big thank you to Sarah Myers for referring us.

Great experience with 1-Tom-Plumber. They charge a flat rate for the 40-50 gallon electric water heater. They came down on the overall water heater & install cost after I got a few other lower quotes, and they had a better warranty than others (standard 6-yr on parts and* labor). Rooky and Casey were awesome technicians - very professional and hilarious at the same time. They know their stuff! Will likely use them again. Next call: Adrian Bibb came by to check out my drains that weren't draining well and recommended some options. He came out within 30 minutes of my call! I didn't end up doing any repairs because they were all relatively simple fixes, but Adrian was very helpful. I didn't realize how expensive they would be though!

service - replace wster lines from water pipe, one to hot water heater and one to washing machine. Do whatever it takes to get water to house. job never done, plumber came out but left without fixing problem, long story stuff happens value- I wasn't paying $75 + $150 to have someone to come out and just look at it and determine cost. when if the guy who came out on Friday had fixed it. I'd be a happy camper and have water to house. what upsets me the most is I was suppose to have someone visiting this eeekend and I would have had wild raunchy passionate sex. now I have to cancle weekend plans. I can't have guest without water and that'll be Monday. i wish I could give them a zero

Rob W replaced my old water heater last week. I have nothing but high marks for Rob. Luckily there was a cancellation so the work was completed before 5pm. Rob explained the problem, told me I needed a new water heater and how much it would cost. The price quoted was reasonable and actually less than I anticipated. The job was completed in a reasonable amount of time and my house was not messed up by the work. Rob was friendly, knowable, good worker. I would not hesitate to Rob for any future plumbing issues. Also I have been using 1 Tom Plumber for about 3-4 years and have never been disappointed and suggested then several times.

I am so thrilled we called Tom Plumber. My grandmother needed to utilize a bathroom that we don’t normally use due to better accessibility. The water was not getting hot in that one bathroom. I called Tom Plumber around 2 PM and by 3 PM they were at my grandmother‘s house and by 4PM he had it all fixed and ready for her to safely use the new (to her) bathroom. Josie in dispatch was so helpful and friendly , and Austin was wonderful at explaining the work that needed to be done and had some great suggestions to ease accessibility! I will be using them for all of our future plumbing needs at Granny’s

DO NOT USE, would give negative stars if I could, you better believe I'll be posting my experience to every local social media REI group and then some...unethical, egregious and unscrupulous practices. Quoted for work that was absolutely not necessary wanting me to think my problem was much bigger than it was and tried to charge me 4x what it should cost to fix the original issue. Had a second company out, fixed the actual issue in 30 mins and charged me a quarter of the price. Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me. I've let my property management company know. NEVER AGAIN.

Tyler was the plumber they sent. Very professional and completed work in less than a half hour for a leaky pipe under kitchen sink. Charge was reasonable. We requested a quote for replacement of our kitchen hot water dispenser. Quote was for $2,500!! We only needed tank replaced and they came back with a $1,800 quote for that installation. We declined! We ordered tank on Amazon for $359 and called another plumber-One Time Plumber and they installed tank for $255. Great service and no upfront fee of $79 to come to house. One Tom Plumber will rip you off-Beware!!!

Tyler arrived right on time and was professional as well as personable. He quickly diagnosed the problem with the tankless water heater we installed and ordered the needed parts that were to arrive in three days. However, I needed hot water ASAP in my rental unit. He drove to his warehouse, picked up another tankless water heater and had it installed in just a couple hours. Recommend Tyler. And I would be remiss if I did not mention Josie who answered the initial phone call to make the appointment. Also very professional and personable. Thanks to you both!
